I'm surprised Silas wasn't there! He Luvs those Crew cab Old dodges
I was surprised that the rear glass wasn't shattered in that 64 Dodge.
Allis Chalmers tractor is what I learned to drive on
Me and my siblings as well! 1953 AC WD with the wide front end. My younger brother took a turn in the woods too quickly and slid straight into a tree and partially broke off the front axle while he was learning to drive it. Grandpa yanked it back and bolted it back on, no big deal. All of my grandfather's equipment was AC, he even had two all-crop combine/harvesters, one of which had its own engine on it (they were barnyard art back in the 1960s and 1970s). I always thought those were the coolest machines, especially the crazy belt routing on the hay baler where they put the belt in a figure-8 to reverse the direction of travel.
Great Video ,Thanks !!! All thesetype of auctions in our area are long gone !!!
that was very good Mr. Goodpliers, I really enjoyed it 👍
That farm was really busy, lots of dodge,a good runner is about any of them, always liked that bronze color, thumbs up, great video, thanks for bringing us along
Very few in-person auctions here anymore. All online with a thousand people bidding. No deals to be had. Jealous of you and small crowds.😞
Bargains as always, and always fun to watch. The two wrecked Dodges in virtually the exact same color are pretty neat to look at, even if they are far beyond fixing. Seems like you found the perfect home for that one.
I like that '63 Dodge crew cab.
Like the TV repairman quote Spicoli !! Lol 😆 keep up the wheelin' and dealin' Mr. Carter ! 👍
Evidently you don't get around tractor collecting much. There are a lot of Allis-Chalmers collectors and to call them "lower tier" is an insult. The tractor in the video is a styled WC. They built almost 180,000 of them. So a very common tractor without many options will sell cheap. But there are some models of ACs that sell over $100,000. Read some of the history on the company, you will be impressed.
I don't think I've ever seen so many Dodge trucks on a farm....he was obviously one of the good ol' Dodge Boys. You know...the ones that used to wear the white ''cowboy hats''
New century air port is west ofthe farm it was navy tell 80s
My Jack Russell loved to play with field mice just like a cat. She would fling 'em in the air and watch them hit the ground and pounce on it.AL B.
That's funny how that guy collects wrecked cars. Dale Earnhardt jr. Has a huge collection of wrecked race cars on his property in NC. I watched a video of a tour of the cars and the story behind some of them. Very interesting.
The only thing I can say about the sales video that you show and are a part of is smoking deals wishing I was there with cash in my pocket
Great catch on the mouse hunt.. and the mouse! As a dog lover, that was entertaining.
He gets a C+ grade from me
Made my day!
THE 10 DOLLAR JUMPS FROM THE IRON GUY WAS IRRITATING ......
I wish I could find a 1956 international pickup.
5:39 Those doors look like a 1956 F100 style so that sheet metal is worth some money for a resto mod.
Yes Scott's Speed Shop he's a rebuilding one of them right now so you might be able to sell some Dodge parts doing for that polara
🗿💨 yep, saw that red 64 and my mind went to Jeds car too
Looked like the buzzards were playing king of the hill!
I have legit seen brand new cars that looked like that and had whiskey bottles in them
Had a 69 d200 camper special 318 4speed granny low 1ton overload extendo bumper. Tank of a pickup.
Looks like a cool 57? 8? 9? wagon Joe got
54:16 Seriously, that will probably buff out.
Cool old finds at the auction..
In my opinion, your BEST video to date. It had everything. All manner of Dodges, in all kinds of condition, parts and juicy manual gearboxes (my mate is into those here in NZ/especially that Road Runner A803), dog dealing to a mouse, good weather, you got some deals (eg wire rope), added storyline from your mate and wreck collection. But to top it all, wasn't that first auctioneer a DEAD RINGER for Michael J Fox!!! Same voice/stature/demeanour. I was hopin he would yell out DOC! to seal it!
body filler has come a long way since the 1960s 😁
The Dodge cowboy stretch limo is a good truck. A guy near us in Denver has three of them, all running and driving. The “cars that shouldn’t exist” is intriguing. I’ve seen high schools display fatality wrecks as hopefully a deterrent to kids hooning beyond their ability to control
As far as I'm concerned, that 74 D500 was the bargain of the day for $1050. There's one coming up for sale in a couple weeks, I guarantee it will bring a lot more. As a "lower tier" collector, I would have paid quite a bit more for the AC WD and the JD A should have brought at least twice as much. You didn't get the v belt measurer? Were the auctioneers related to the seller? They seemed to know quite a bit about the stuff. Fortunately, I wasn't there, glad you were!
Yes, this was the family farm of the auctioneer. Another guy really wanted the belt measurer so I let him have it for around $20
I was surprised you did not buy the International for the front clip. I could not have resisted buying it. I own a wrecked 1965 Bonneville Convertible. It was buckled to the rear quarter. It had been restored and had a brand new interior that I needed. There are so many usable parts on the car. Every year I use some parts of it. What was spooky was the folded steering wheel, some stains of blood on the red carpet and even the door panel with steel under it had a bend where left shoulder of the poor bastard hit. The guy survived but lost an eye and was never the same after that. That is what I was told. Imagine: the guy was riding happily on a main road without belt of course and a braindamaged trucker pulled out right in front of him!
That 1974 D-500 sure looked tempting. Sold for $1025. for a unit that clean not a bad deal, plus may-be $500. to $1000. to get back on the road. Of course, it may be in need of new tires, and you'll have to have it towed home that could get expensive. But find one cleaner. I am thinking the person that won it, did well
I own and run a classic car dealership, We don;t go all out, we basically get them running, driving and looking presentable then sell them for those people looking for a cool car to daily drive or as a project car and we get the majority of our cars and trucks this way, We often find an "all in one" type deals and we often have to buy 5 or 6 cars/trucks to get the one we really want, We have a used Farm implement dealership that we team up with to get deals done on occasation.
If you had A/C, would you want to get out to pull parts?
That auctioneer is short, but that guy in the yellow shirt is massive!
That dog is a good mouser!
Cool stuff. The Polara was neat. Hope no one died in that. (Or worst)
My dad's a TV repairman, he's got a great set of tools..." Jeff Spicolli, Fast Times at Ridgemont High... (1982)
Silas should be there
SILAS BUYS THE SAME AS WE ALL DO...... THERES NO KING OF THE HILL.......NONSENSE. 😂😂
Thanks again for the video. Do you know the accident date on the 64 polara.?
It had been around a while. Note the driver's door and fender with weathered blue paint. There was body filler on the driver's inner fender apron too. I would guess the wreck was sometime in the 70s
Great video! Surprised Silas wasn't there. I hope the big dodge trucks aren't getting scrapped, especially the repainted ones that were low mileage.
Lots of rats in that part of town !
Kindling comes as part of the deal.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
Old Dodge trucks are just starting to come on to their own. Just because old Fords and Old Chevrolets are getting so expensive. I always like to see an old Dodge truck on the road.
' DIE HARD Alice Guys ' praise the Lord !
Thanks!
Sorry to hear of the passing of your uncle.
Spiderman, thank God for old geezers who hoard stuff they should have scrapped 40 years ago.
A thousand rich auctioneers would agree
WOW,what a cheap auction to be at!!!trucks went soooo cheap!!!damn
Looks like grandpa's trucks were the only ones not beat up did they start selling moonshine?? At one point
Kinda surprised you didn't catch the HICKEY sidesteps in that yellow/white Dodge - those were worth the price alone!
At 24:51 that Griswald cast aluminum sauce pan on carburetor duty has some value.
If the Dodge was a fatality car, what does one say about the remnants that is a Renault Dauphine?
Great video as always and thanks for sharing 👍
Had a buddy in hi-sco had a 400 charger, first thing he did was 440 the old girl
Doggo ate the mouse? 🐀
59:53
My first car was a 73 Satellite police interceptor with a 400. I bought it at state patrol disposal auction and was told by the mechanic the troopers preferred them over the 440 units which had a tendency to blow at extended high speed pursuit. It was fast and held up to abuse. I'm building a 400 right now for my 75 RR, They saw service in everything from Vans to cop cars. Good engines
Thanks mate
Where's your little buddy from Hutchinson, KS
Out camping
thing id buy there woulda been the 4 door dodge, fit on a 4x4 ford chassis..$900. id of gone 1500..
I talked to the guy who bought it, $1500 was his limit too. That old truck was rough as a cob - it needed a lot of work on the floors and steps
Built DODGE Tough... hmm? Didn't look so tough to me!
Unbelievable the nice Dodge only went for 1050
That's way my 41 was apart
Silus cuts the front off them.
Yes you got that. right Peace out ouch
That farmer liked his booze
You stole that Roadrunner transmission for $140😂
You allude to a sale in the title.. Got a buyer lined up? Is it just a parts car?
A friend of mine specializes in repairing 60s and 70s Mustangs. He 's always saying, "those things were built to crash." he wouldn't own one.
That's just plain stupid.
wow, thats got to be one of the dumbest comments i read yet!!!you need better friends!!!lol
Built to crash as opposed to last!
@@yeahright302 Just so, but he's been restoring them for a long time.
@@yeahright302 No. They're really poorly designed as opposed to later ones. 60s NOVA s are the same.
Your Wico Magneto will not fit any of the letter series (A, B, C, H, M) Farmall tractor or any of their derivatives. All those mags have an impulse drive, not a gear drive
adventures made from scratch be all over those old truck
adventures made from scrap!
Dog 1
