wow, Bobby dude, you just made a really jaded 43 year old man cry. I trust you will be leader of men someday soon; the world needs you, someone who shows genuine pleasure at the success of another. Fantastic.
we need more lives like this...we need more people to ingrain martial arts and good sportsmanship...this...and things like this will save the world...kudos bobby...you have a better handle on your spiritual center than most people 5 times your age...we need people like you to lead us into tomorrow...
Awesome That makes a Bobby a winner as well then! Keep it up Bobby only 8 years old and your actions make you a role model for so many adults these days!! Great stuff!
My son has played hockey for years. He has a good friend Tyler who just started playing and sometimes struggles just to skate. My son passes the puck to him constantly, trying to enable him to score, and has been successful twice. The last time, I was talking to my son after the game, and said "I noticed you had an easy shot on that last goal, but you passed it to Tyler instead." He said "Yeah, that's because I like it so much better when Tyler scores than when I do!"
He made it SO FAR into the tournament, and then his buddy won. Half the glass was full, the other half empty, but his happiness for his friend filled the cup all the way back up to the point where it over flowed. Why can't more people be like this boy?
Two Champions the winner and the little guy who turned a defeat into a celebration. I'm sure there will be the usual trolls attempting to be negative but with this guys attitude negative comments become rain drops in a desert, this guy has heart and soul he sure ain't a loser in the more important fight of life with his fellow beings!
Great reaction from a great friend. I hope he keeps this attitude. My kids have never been in Karate, but I have to say I thought, based solely on this video, that the other kid looked more impressive.
I am sure he knew it. I bet he also knew there would be tons of competitions waiting for him in the future. No matter win or lose, wouldn't feel as happy as this one, so he enjoyed every minute.
As defined on line: conduct (as fairness, respect for one's opponent, and graciousness in winning or losing) becoming to one participating in a sport . He was also named Sportsman of the year by his Karate Master.
I work with that kid, and he hasn't changed a bit, so sadly, you are wrong. He is now a black belt and teaches kids all the time and is still the same wonderful kid he was all those years ago.
Hey, Relax, It's just fair competition and fun times together. Winning is not everything. The lesson is greatly demonstrated by young Bobby that good and fair sportsmanship goes a long way.
Well, his Mom was not in the video, she was taking it. The woman at the end is his Aunt and she was very proud of him too, photo shows her looking at the medals he just won.
OUTSTANDING JOB BOBBY!! I WISH YOU THE BEST IN YOUR ADULT LIFE AND HOPEFULLY PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD CAN UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO BE APART OF ONE OF YOUR BEST FRIENDS BEST MOMENT IN HIS N YOUR LIFETIME!! HERE IS A LITTLE TREAT FOR YOU N EVERYONE THAT LOVES SPORTSMANSHIP AND BASKETBALL! COPY AND PASTE THIS INTO THE YOU TUBE BROWSER- NIBF SPORTSMANSHIP TOUR MASTER - CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING AN HONOR OF THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE YEAR N NOT JUST THAT TOURNAMENT !!!
Its good to teach sportsmanship to your child but it is also important to show him how to win. Winning is not all, but you cant be your whole life being the second right? Dont get me wrong the kid is awesome.
here in Malaysia im a tkd player 2nd dan im playing for a club and also take some training in the university club my best friend is playing for the university club he is 2nd dan as well and we both are foreigners so once we were in a very big tournament in Malaysia , so we both reached the finals and at that moment it didn't really matter for both of us who is going to win ! in the end i won because he injured his knee in the previous match it was the best match i have ever played!
It is a form competition, they are judged on how well the perform and maintain their forms when executing their movements. After all, form is very important in martial arts.
As long as a kid hasn't been pre-programmed by adults to act a certain way I'm pretty sure more kids would be happy for their peers (especially given he was a best friend). It's the adults that create an environment of poor sportsmanship... not the children. You should have seen Little League where I grew up LOL
Well Said!!! Let the kid be a kid not a freaking programmed machine by a parent who didn't win his High School championship 20 years ago. Your little league sounds like our hockey league where most of the parents just scream at their kids and tell them how awful they are very sad. Especially at such a young age.
their friends, of course they are going to do that. i pretty sure anyone doesn't matter what age. they their friend won something even if it was them or their friend they would be happy too.
haha it looked like the other kiddy thought he'd won at first and was celebrating and then when he realised he hadn't won thought 'O, you son of botch!!!' 😂
we need to ask his mom how is it that he showed good sportsmanship?? maybe realizing that his friend won and that was more important than winning. anywho...good job!!
They're doing what are called forms, an arranged sequence of moves to fight multiple opponents. You've obviously never done karate. The forms are just a part of it. Come to my school and I will give you some lessons in NON "air fighting" :)
I believe this competition was all about a students form. That is what the colored belts signify. It serves a purpose for when they actually are fighting in a tournament.
Good boy, just shows that he's been taught well.
We need more people like Young Bobby!!!
What a great kid. True sportsmanship goes a long long way.
As for those two kids, Both are winners.
wow, Bobby dude, you just made a really jaded 43 year old man cry. I trust you will be leader of men someday soon; the world needs you, someone who shows genuine pleasure at the success of another. Fantastic.
I hope life grants this kid pure happiness.
Little things but they add up and build, define character. Exemplary display of sportsmanship.
we need more lives like this...we need more people to ingrain martial arts and good sportsmanship...this...and things like this will save the world...kudos bobby...you have a better handle on your spiritual center than most people 5 times your age...we need people like you to lead us into tomorrow...
That's awesome, being happy win lose or draw is true sportsmanship! Good for him and his friend.
This kid has such a good heart. :) Good job to his parents. Way to raise a kid so right.
I hope there are more people like this guy also, congratulations to your friend.
Awesome That makes a Bobby a winner as well then! Keep it up Bobby only 8 years old and your actions make you a role model for so many adults these days!! Great stuff!
that is an amazing heart...good on you young man!!!
He may have not won the first place in Karate, but he is a champion, because he has a big heart!
My son has played hockey for years. He has a good friend Tyler who just started playing and sometimes struggles just to skate. My son passes the puck to him constantly, trying to enable him to score, and has been successful twice. Great parenting. We need more parents like you
The kid understands the true meaning of martial arts....honor
These kind of videos cheer me up.
A great video. His mother will be proud on him because even though he was not a winner but he really show a good sport to his opponent.
Great reaction from a great friend. I hope he keeps this attitude. My kids have never been in Karate, but I have to say I thought, based solely on this video, that the other kid looked more impressive.
That's real sportsmanship right there good job kid you are awesome
Heart of a Champion! kudos to you 8 yr old boy🙏🙂
I am sure he knew it.
I bet he also knew there would be tons of competitions waiting for him in the future. No matter win or lose, wouldn't feel as happy as this one, so he enjoyed every minute.
Made me cry :0 Awesome child xo

I'm sure mom was more happy to see this than her son win!

im glad he wasn't mean or pouted, but i think he was a little happy that he lost, he wasn't trying to be extra sportsmanlike, but i like it... i guess

i dont think he knew he lost
Sweet story.
I agree. One must be versed in multiple forms of combat these days.
I love Krav Maga.
Keep training bro. :)
He jumps high
