PICC's architect, Leandro Locsin, was "known for his use of concrete, floating volumes, and simplistic design," and this is evident in many of his iconic works.
There's no way you'll miss it. Approaching the building from afar, it gives the illusion of concrete slabs floating because of the contrast in color between the large gray mass and the black-tinted glass.
It's interesting for me to come back to PICC as a slightly more mature architect. I've found out that I have an even better appreciation for this architectural marvel. It really is one of the most iconic buildings in Philippine architectural history.
