- The game between Clemson and NC State had a thrilling ending as the game went to double overtime before NC State pulled off a stunning upset over the ninth ranked Tigers. NC State had a chance to win at the end of regulation, but missed a potential game winning field goal. In overtime the two teams each scored a touchdown on their first possession. In the second overtime, NC State came up with a sick 25 yard touchdown to take a 27-21 lead. Then on their possession, Clemson was stopped on fourth down and NC State pulled off the upset, winning the game 27-21. With the loss, Clemson shockingly falls to 2-2 on the season.

I'm a Wolfpack fan and I'm so happy that we (barely) pulled it off. We haven't beaten Clemson in a decade and seeing the fans run onto the field made it an even more joyous moment.

Just got back from this game to my hotel before I fly back home tomorrow as I flew in to see in person, my first in person NCSU game at home since I graduated years ago and this was a NAIL-BITER! My poor heart during this game. Regardless, we pulled out the W and I cannot be anymore happy for all fans and the alumni and students like myself as an alum! They even got to rush the field, something I never got to do as a student despite us winning big games in my time too! There wasn’t enough officers or security personnel to stop the energy and the reckoning of the home crowd tonight! Go PACK!

@@Mox3712 Lol, usually and I have no idea if this will be any different. ESP since at NCSU, it’s heavily discouraged due to the walls. That said, I’m sure the fans would disagree and the school might publicly hate doing it but for 1 time, maybe they won’t mind paying any fine that may come.

@@jameshenry9037 You have a point but I'm just trying to see things from a realistic standpoint. From what I've seen GA looks damn good this year. That being said I do believe that Alabama will take care of business if they play. There's no shame in being a fan of a team and saying another team looks like they may be a threat. I think GA could potentially give Alabama some serious problems. Alabama should win bit they're gonna have to show up......play a very disciplined game......none of this 10-12 penalties a game shit that they've been making more and more common. The main thing that Alabama is gonna have to do to win against the Dawgs is tighten up on defense, namely run defense. They looked so sloppy against the Gators. Sure, Florida has a couple of high level halfback, yes the Gators have an extremely good run game, but NO team should be able to run the EXACT same play 4 consecutive times in one drive, strong side outside run, and be successful with it. I know the main factor was that Florida kept Alabamas defense on the field for way too long and they were beyond exhausted, but they're gonna have to tighten up......if the same Bama team shows up to play GA that played the Gators, it's gonna be a LOOOOONG night for the Tide. Good news is that they have a couple months before they have to worry about it so they have time to get things back under control and hopefully take care of business along the way and stay undefeated.

If you saw the GT game, this should surprise no one. If Clemson can't out talent you, they certainly aren't out coaching you. State getting 10.5 was some of the easiest money of the year so far in CFB.
I am shocked they had Clemson favored by more than a TD. Everybody thought that game was an upset alert coming into the season in the ACC. I think Notre Dame is the clear favorite in the ACC now unless they just choke vs UNC and Clemson.
This reminds me of when the undefeated Steelers were barely beating teams down the stretch, it was only a matter of time till they were gonna take an L to an unlikely opponent 🤷🏾♂️

Clemson has been officially eliminated from CFB Playoff contention. What a crazy day. Wisconsin crushed by ND. Auburn barely survives against Georgia State. Arkansas is looking GOOD. Minnesota loses to Bowling Green. Iowa State is pretty much overrated. Michigan struggled with freaking RUTGERS.

Rules question for the commentator: Defensive holding calls do not depend on a ball's catchability, correct? Call is made before the ball is thrown. He must have been thinking dpi.
Think so. In reality that penalty was iffy. I think it may have been a make up call for the previous play where the refs missed an obvious pass interference call

First of all, Clemson shouldn’t have been been ranked at #9 with a loss and then a near loss to another unbanked team by less than a touchdown. How that worked out is beyond me.
Good for NC State, I hope their kicker bounces back; but I don’t think this win alone is enough to justify a ranking. It was a mistake to have Clemson at #9 in the first place.
Finally, not only is Clemson out of the running for the CFP; they’re likely out of the running for the ACC Championship.

The fact I had to deliver packages on State’s campus yesterday was nerve racking for a lot of their fans. This was one of the best game in the ACC in a long time.
