I purchased one in 2019, this is such a superb all rounder. I’ve been all over Spain two up with luggage and this thing is superb, reasonable fuel economy, amazing performance and really comfortable too.
With the addition of radar etc etc it’s going to be even better, but I’ll be keeping mine, can’t justify the extra cash and if I’m honest, I prefer the pre 2022 looks which let’s face it, is pretty important to us bikers.
Nice little review, hopefully you can have a few more days on the beastie🤞🏼

You being an owner of a 2019 model, could you tell me what he mentioned in the review that your bike doesn't have? I was planning on purchasing an older 2018/2019 model and am curious what I'd be missing out on. I would really appreciate you taking the time to note these things.

@@francisconaylor8695 Hello my friend… Mine is a 2019 SXSE so it’s not got electronic suspension, the SXSE+ of that year has electronic suspension, slightly different switchgear layout and you can also adjust it via an app on your phone! Bit of a gimmick in my opinion, hence why I went for the manually adjusted suspension.
Mine is a Performance Tourer spec, so it has a tinted slightly sportier bias screen and an akroprovic silencer + all the panniers etc….
      SXSE spec includes:
      Quick shifter/blipper
      Cruise control
      Anti wheelie
      ABS
      Engine modes
      Traction control
      Launch control
      Crash protection
You name it, it’s got it!
The new one has all this and radar controlled cruise control but I personally think it takes away the riders control, but hey, technology for you!
I’ve had Busa’s, Blades, all sorts but the H2 is a far more capable bike and extremely thrilling to ride… I won’t be changing this for a long time unless something better comes out🤔
Hope all that helps, anything else you want to know, just shout👍🏽

I know I'm a bit late to your comment. But after a year or so. What's your average big maintenance cost on the h2? I'm looking to get one next as I can find some under 10k miles for about $15k. I'm just hoping maintenance cost isn't like Ducati's prices

The 2022 adaptive cruise is a gift from the technology gods. Think your back and wrists are getting tired? Put it in cruise with adaptive on in those boring sections of your ride. Sit up and steer with finger tips while the gap is maintained by the bike. It's a great idea on a bike where sitting bolt upright is impossible without it. It also allows you to relax and take in the scenery and not be hyper focused on the line of cars in front of you with and endless no passing zone. The way the bike rides is also much more like a sport tour. It is heavy but that allows the suspension to work while Newton's second law keeps the mass of the bike stable. Lastly that motor is very stealthy in power delivery. Not that typical inline 4 lull and rush. It just smooth hyper acceleration. Be aware it allows you to pass 20 Harley's rather quickly and they will give you the finger.

I have ridden a sport-tourer (Kawi Concours) all over the Western U.S. and on long tours, I rarely ride at triple-digit speeds (mph). As such, this bike's extra power would be mostly wasted on me. Nevertheless, I think this is an awesome motorcycle, even at this price. I would like to see Kawasaki build a super-charged middleweight sport-tourer. Maybe an 800 cc engine and 100 pounds lighter.

Interesting vid, bob. Personally, a supercharged liter bike for public road is very ridiculous. Most regular liter bike already has enough power to out paced most public traffic. Instead, they should have supercharged a 500cc version; allowing a smaller m/c to keep up with liter bikes when needed to. Anyway, ride safe, god bless u.

This kind of bike is the most appropriate for someone doing touring. Naked are good but too much of wind blast, superbike are just too extreme and inconvenient and sports tourer like versy or bmw s1000xr are just too ugly.

The ZX 14R has more power and torque without the added complication of a supercharger...

Yeah but you can unlock these engines to about 250HP 165TQ... Kawi locked all that away in the circuits. They after all dont want to make a literal death trap. So they make one and hide it for one's self to "find"

They completely ruined the looks of the bike with the 2022 model. The front is extra ugly and generic, rear is ridiculous with the long ass tail that you can't replace unless you remove the radar, on top of that they removed the silver lines from the wheels and removed the analog rev gauge... I mean... naah...
Gonna stick to the pre-2022 models . 40k miles on my 2018 and still going great !

Have to agree. The older model is much better looking. Also has a standard ignition key, which I much prefer. Bought an SE+ for half the price. Wow, what a machine!
