I bought one in the USA without a test ride. The best feature of the bike is the confidence it transfers to the rider. Surprised at how planted and stable it is at deep lean on crap roads. It’s a brilliant bike for long days on B roads in sparsely populated areas of the northeast corner of the USA. Windy roads and no cops!!!! I love it. Also I’ve owned close to 30 bikes in the past 10 years with 8 in the garage, this bike exceeded my expectations.
@@Patrick-sv8sf my 2022 H2 SX SE. it’s my favorite type of riding. Although the GS could displace it as I age. Still the H2 is all day comfort for me at 61.
A friend of mine owns the spiritual predecessor to this beast: the zx14r. And despite being such a land whale, with unbelievable amounts of power and torque, its a surprisingly easy bike to ride and really holds its weight well. Kawasaki sure knows how to make a heavy bike with tons of power work. And it seems they're finally taking their major issues like braided lines, brakes, suspension packages seriously. The return of the sport tourer has been a marvelous thing to behold in today's day and age of adventure tourers.
I Just bought a 22 S1000rr in June I had to raise the bars with helibars and vortex rearsets for more comfortable riding then went to look for a 22 zx14r for my cruise bike and next to it was 22 H2 SX SE I bought it in late July . What a machine especially with the electronic suspension and blind spot monitors in mirrors also love the adaptive cruise control. Super comfortable rediculous fast and smooth it builds speed like a Tesla very electric you need to hold on tight it will rip your hands off the grips in sport mode if you crack it open around 4k rpm in first or second. It gives my S1000rr a good run in a race 20-140 with similar 220lb rider . I love both bike for different reasons but this is a fantastic do everything bike it is seriously amazing in the twists considering when you pick it up off the stand you say wow it’s porky but as soon as you roll it feels light how they did that I have no idea. Loved my ZX14r had 2 of them but they didn’t handle 1/10th as good as H2SX even though the both bikes have the same wheel base . Anyone unsure about this bike like I was just ride it and your wallet will fight it’s way open. I didn’t want to to like this bike the dealer made me ride it and It was over my decision was made in 7 miles .
I think it's the greatest Bike ever built (to date). For me, it was always the GSX-R750 but this has taken the title in my World. Great review buddy, thank you.

Hi Chops, thanks for the reviews... I AM LOVIN' my H2 SX... i work in Newcastle NSW Australia and travel to and from home in Grafton 448km one way.. i will be doing over 1000km/620mile every week..Very happy with the THRUST, B22 battleaxe tryes 95% now with 1200km on them they stuck real well in the torrential rain last weekend coming home, was getting between 20-24km/litre ie 47mgp-56mpg on a tight engine in road mode.. First weekend home then straight back for its first service and roughlt 11hrs sitting in the seat... as comfy as, no probs.. now 10 days later with 1900km/1100 miles on the clock i went for a blat and i was getting 5ltr/100km 20km/ltr or 47mpg in Sports mode.... I dont want to ride another now... i've had so many young fellas stopping at traffics lights saying to me this is their dream bike... the lines are beautiful, colours stunning, ride is soooo comfy, it goooeeeeessssss, ergonomic for me and i didn't even get wet in torrential down pour without my wet weather gear.. I am paying it off with the difference in what it would cost me in the car to run...but i get this lovely green missile on wheels for free.... yay... All the best and keep up the reviews.. Ps where is the link for the new 360 i'd like one for my beauty... Safe riding Wazza.....
I have the SE version, have just over 5000 miles on her, longest day on her was 13 hours, only discomfort I had was my ageing joints. Got 4300 miles out of the standard BS22 rear, 5000 out of the front, now changed them for Road 6’s see if they give more longevity. I love my girl, changed the end can, it’s one heavy beast, and changed a few other bits n bobs.
Yeah i have just over 1100mile on my battle axes s22 atm and around 92%, so will be interested how they go as i do 620miles/week to work and home.. i want to try out the road 6 as well..let me know how they go haha..
I've had mine 2018 h2sx se and she's already on 40k miles on the clock. The road 6s should last you for about 6-8k miles . Only tire I managed to squeeze a bit more life of was some very expensive metzeler but when they wore out the front started shaking at high speeds so I switched back to the road 6. 40k miles and she still feels like new. Nothing but brilliance about this bike.
Good reviews on the this motorbike. Was a difficult choice between this and the ZZR1400. Took the plunge after looking at this and pruchased a Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE Performance. Love the braided brake lines, the Akropovic exhaust and the adaptive cruise control. Going to be an interesting experiance with a set of wide modified straight bars attached by the previous owner. Not even had a first ride yet until collection day.
I loved this bike had the first gen, took mine on a few track days. By far a jack of all trades used it for everything, European tours, commutes, rideouts. Covered about 13k miles on it ...Great bike. 👍🏽 But I do more track now, so traded for a 21 panigale v4s 😎😎

You got me hooked on this new h2sx, looks good, power right through the rev range and can return reasonable mpg - can't wait for the next instalment 👍👍
Great review, I do a lot of two-up riding with my partner. My current bike is a 2016 Multistrada. We are considering upgrading. And the H2 SX SE is an option. Can you go more in-depth with a pillion on board? It will be great to get an opinion on comfort and ride quantity as a pillion... In particular, on a descent long ride stint (250kms + ) 1/2 to 1 day of riding or more overnight etc. I hope you can include this topic in your next ride

I'm really looking forward to more on this fabulous machine. Mr. Roy, a ZZR14 is definately NOT a land whale.
Just a warning to anyone looking to buy one of these SX's and flashing them for big power. The 2021 SX is the last year that the ECU can be flashed. 2022-2024 have a completely different ECU and as of Feb. 2024 there is currently no flash available for the 2022-2024 SX.

Great review, Chops. I always find it amazing that some manufacturers of premium motorcycles still spoil the overall appearance with those crappy cheap looking brake/clutch fluid reservoirs.
Thank you for yet another excellent review- highly entertaining, but informative and professional. My only complaint is that I thought I had finally settled on the motorcycle I will get to replace my V4s but you have sewn some doubts. I recently moved to southern Spain from Canada and want a bike that will be used for local (2-3 hour) trips into the mountains or along the coast roads, with the occasional 4-7 days trips further afield. I am an avid cyclist so any motorcycle outing, comfort wise, feels like being on/in a Cadillac. I was leaning heavily towards the S1000rr, but now I will have to investigate the H2 SX. I am really looking forward to your next video.
Great review of a wonderful bike. There really is nothing else that offers as much as the H2 SX for road work. Ride to the Alps with luggage for a week in comfort then chase the sports bikes up and down the passes before riding home passing almost everything on the autobahn.
As a ZH2 owner I think this supercharged engine is the best in the market . After owning a Tuono It demands some getting used to (more so than any bike i owned) but now I love it.
DId you had a tuono v4? If so you don't regret buying the kawa? At the moment I have a SDR 1290 and I would like the ZH2 to be my 2nd bike in the garage.
@@tubejorrit . The tuono was a little to uncomfy for me. The handling was more solid on the Tuono but I can live with that. The ZH2 is more wersatile bike and wery fun to drive fast even if you cant push like the Aprilia. It likes even to go slow. The Tuono hated legal speeds. Buy something different if you have a superbaked already. I just bought a old enduro bike for the gravel and forrest driving. Perfekt compliment.
@@srtspeedy4983 I would love an enduro bike but here in the netherlands we aren't allowed to ride anywhere offroad anymore. I think the ZH2 will be a future classic in 10-15 years because of the supercharger, not so rare as the GPZ 750 turbo but still something we will never see again.
Hey, i currently have : zh2 270hp stage 2, ninja h2 255hp stage 1, hayabusa gen 3 stock, zx6r 2020 stock, gsxr 1000 k7 tuned, mt10 stock and i am soooooo in love with the h2 engine, i said fuck it and instead of buying a panigale im gonna go for the SX now😂😂😂. The h2 engine is 1000% sure the best motorcycle engine ever build. I dont think anything else will ever come close if they dont come with a supercharger.
My 2020 H2SXSE+ is rather good on fuel, at 55.3mpg (imperial). I use it for touring, and weekend / evening playing around. Why do people say that it is poor on the mpg? Maybe because it was run in properly and not abused in the run-in period by journalist? Although I am not a fan of the new front end, too me it looks bland, I do like that shiny green. It looks different to my '20 colouring or is that an effect of the video?
Fast touring bikes like this, the 1290gt, Multi V4s etc will soon kill off Superbikes with stupid high red lines and body contorting riding position's. You get 99% of the thrills, but in comfort, No brainer... #TorqueMonsters Cheers Fella 🍻
Another fabulous review Chops! Whenever I watch your reviews I think yep another bike to add to my test ride list! There are just too many good bikes out there that making a decision on a bike purchase is becoming so tricky. Your reviews absolutely help with that struggle.
Thanks for another cool video! You seem to ride many different bikes, have you ever considered live streaming your rides/reviews? That way your viewers can watch and ask questions. That’s what I used to do before I got knocked off. I live streamed concurrently to Twitch and TH-cam and I used ‘text to voice’ through my Sena so it was not distracting to answer questions even while riding. Its not easy to do this in the UK but it’s possible with the right tech on the right roads.
I am lucky to say i am an owner of the 22 model - the only downside i can find for me is no ONE barring Ackro in the UK are making after market slip on cans yet, ( I may purchase a Coffman stubby from the states ) this bike does it all and you are correct about the " Thrust " its so hard to explain what it feels like, just amazing bike all rounder
18:35 I understand previous years they electronically/fuel wise suffocated the top end, and about 50 extra hp is there past 9000 rpm, and even 100 hp past 12000 as can be seen in the various tuning videos.
What a great review so far ! I love mine to bits but the price is getting to me and it’s hard not to look at other brands. How do you rate this towards other 200 horsepower bikes for a everyday use? Thanks for doing this long term review.
Really liked your review and watched it to the end which I rarely do. Now looking forward to the next one. Makes me nervous watching you brits ride at speed so close to the vegetation when an animal could pop out leaving only a nano second to react. Be safe out there and get us another vid.😎
Great videos as always! Just picked up a new 22 H2sx se tour, have only ridden it 100km back home, as you a owner of a Ninja H2, two different bikes but also own a zzr1400ps and thought that the H2sx felt more heavy and less feel from the road, hope it proves me wrong after some miles
I have one of these and had the SXSE before it. I'm having withdrawal symptoms as the weather is so poor here this winter, but watching this makes me want to go out even more! Good review, subscribed
Great to see kawasaki have finally come around to letting you an possibly others review their machines as a kawasaki owner myself, Not one of these, Time for a upgrade Chopsy love your enthusiasm , I agree with you on the looks a beautiful bike apart from the rear light and that exhaust tailpipe 👍
I don't think any electronic rear shock can be serviced, so in time it won't offer much damping and a new unit is about £2500ish. Only ohlins I believe can be serviced
I checked out a H2R recently. Undoubtedly the most beautiful bike on the road in all that black and kwaka-green carbon fibre. Can't actually (legally) ride it on the road but boy that bike is a panty dropper just standing there. This SX looks super sexy as well. Not a bike for me but I'd sure like it in the garage just to look at.
Having a 2019 Brock moldded SXSE I like what I see in the 2022 model. My ZX14R has a beautiful motor but like the Busa it's too low. My only gripe w 19 was seat, sweet that's been improved.
What good timing as signed deal on Thursday for one of these (same spec). Previously had a 2018 SXSE and regretted selling it. Recent tour made me realise how much I did miss the H2. Expensive yes, but on a PCP it’s not so bad as pretty low interest rate and decent residual at end of agreement. Only main issue seems to be options for tank bag as no longer has screws on the ring. Great review BTW
Waving goodbye to licence is directly proportional to rate of change of the thrust lever ! Liking the non goldfish bowl rear facing camera , what is it ?
It's a good bike lambsey if into kawasaki. Basically a zx/ninja sport/tourer. Apart from turbo 43mm forks all non turbo z1000sx got zx6r 41mm forks. The zx/ninja integration to tourer hi torque flies you and luggage up foreign hills light a missile... Awesome zx tourer. 😊
Rear suspension setting affects the sitting position. Have the 2020 and Id be interested trying this to see that is really more powerful, I nean it flies on 3rd gear. Maybe mapping is just diffrent due to euro5.
My last big Kawasaki was a Zx12r, which was a blast. The H2 SX sounds phenomenal, however no matter how I look at it, it just looks weird to me, especially with those gonzo pipes. No doubt I'd love riding one, but it just looks confused.
Great vid as ever. As a 1000sx owner (since June) I’d love you to do a comparison video, as it does have the same base engine and I can’t imagine what you need that supercharger for! Also you know how this compares to the Hyabussa and we all need to know what would go in our dream garage. Thank you for all your time in doing these videos.
"I can’t imagine what you need that supercharger for". Your Man-Card was just revoked. It is currently being held and waiting for your pick up at the YWCA. Please bring only cash.
i own a 1000sx 2021. Slightly more lean forward. a bit more firm seat. You can feel the extra weight while pushing bike around, its heavy. Think of having a 50 kilo passager on the SX. New large display is super crisp and nice looking. Same smooth surge in power as SX. Torque is hard to describe, basically infinite power and torque compared to SX. You will only need like quarter throttle. I tested the "SE" version. Chassi and damping felt like a locomotive on rails. Its super planted sureal feeling. Breaks are super strong and feels good 10/10. H2SX feels like SX on steroids and put on quite some extra weight. I tested new Hayabusa also and it was a huge disapointment. Felt like squatting with knees in your face and 70% of all weight on your wrist. Like steering a cruise-ship. Brakes was on par with H2SX but suspension felt harsh on hayabusa. Reach to bars was a stretch. So 10min ride felt like worst in my life. High knees stretch over tank. Its like a racebike with 1300cc. Been riding for 20 years and owned 8 bikes. H2SXSE is like a wet teenage dream :D Its like having a playboy model asking you out for prom night.
The initial introduction showing the front end with the small head light I couldn’t help but think car drivers might be confused as to what is approaching them ! Which was confirmed later on with the car creeping out from the left 11.04 🤔 An additional test Chops Park it up for a day outside my place of work in central London and see if it’s still there at the end of the day !
WOW stunning bike from Kawasaki 😊 but it weighs more than my GS 🤷 would love to own one but I’m looking for something lighter for my next bike. Great work as always👍 such a pleasure to listen to your honest reviews. 👍🏍🏍🙏
i would suggest to go test the XR. I have mine 2 years, 60 k kms now and had a gs for two days this week (for the 60k service). Very happy to get backon my own. XR is around 225 kg wet
So in your opinion, is it worth the extra cash to replace my 2019 SXSE🤔As far as I’m aware, nothing has changed power plant wise, it’s just the dash, radar etc and in my opinion, less aggressive looks at the front. I love my beastie and have been waiting for your 2022 H2 road test to help my decision👌🏽… Roll on the next vid👍🏽
Nice review & bike Chops. Seems like Kawasaki have done a decent job. This latest version has gone totally under the radar for me & seems like a great package. Also about time Kwak let people review their bikes too! So big question is, this or the Hayabusa?
Top review Chops, that engine in a sporty adventure bike would be a fruity recipe. Now your dealing with Kawasaki UK is that why TMF is Wheels motorcycles new best friend?😬

"Big girls can be a lot of fun to ride though" That's what I come here for Chops.
😁
My 2020 H2SXSE+ is rather good on fuel, at 55.3mpg (imperial). I use it for touring, and weekend / evening playing around. Why do people say that it is poor on the mpg?
Maybe because it was run in properly and not abused in the run-in period by journalist?
Although I am not a fan of the new front end, too me it looks bland, I do like that shiny green. It looks different to my '20 colouring or is that an effect of the video?
Because people ride them like they stole it hence MPG is bad simple as
Noting to how do with how the bike is run in.
that sound... omg intoxicating
Fast touring bikes like this, the 1290gt, Multi V4s etc will soon kill off Superbikes with stupid high red lines and body contorting riding position's.
You get 99% of the thrills, but in comfort, No brainer... #TorqueMonsters
Cheers Fella 🍻
Mine is soooo comfy and has THRUUUUUSSSSTTTT
Another fabulous review Chops! Whenever I watch your reviews I think yep another bike to add to my test ride list! There are just too many good bikes out there that making a decision on a bike purchase is becoming so tricky. Your reviews absolutely help with that struggle.
Really looking forward to the next video....I have the '22 H2 SX SE Tourer and love it...looking forward to your views after a few rides.....
Full vandemon exhaust chops and a flash and a modest tune on the fueling/ETC o yeah 👌👌👌
That's a lovely looking bike. Good to see at least one of the Japanese manufacturers having a go.
I love this bike but not ready to swap the ZZR1400 just yet !
This new H2 SX is definitely cleaned up and better looking..
Your motorbike delivery and detail is top shelf. I have been intrigued with this bike for quite awhile but the weight gives me pause.
So smooth and Powerful. Poooewwerful- marvellous brings back memories of bikes I owned in the litre class. Great days.
Beautiful front end , what a beast and nice to see an easy to use preload adjuster 👍🏼😎
I love the look of that bike and the paint seems like a high quality finish. Thanks for another great Vid chops 👍🏻
The Grandtourer is here my ladies and gentlements.
Enjoyed that. Way out of my price league and probably capability but I'd bloody love a go on one!
I just saw one today at the Kawasaki demo day it's a big boy , very nice machine Chops .
It is a beautiful-looking bike.
Thanks Gary welcome along buddy 👍
I would love to own that bike. Always a pleasure watching any reviews produced by our esteemed Chopsy. Great work as usual thanks a bunch good Sir👏
Thanks Dukie 👍
Great video, awesome motorcycle, amazing scenery!
Great to see kawasaki have finally come around to letting you an possibly others review their machines as a kawasaki owner myself,
Not one of these,
Time for a upgrade Chopsy love your enthusiasm ,
I agree with you on the looks a beautiful bike apart from the rear light and that exhaust tailpipe 👍
Thank you so much
I don't think any electronic rear shock can be serviced, so in time it won't offer much damping and a new unit is about £2500ish. Only ohlins I believe can be serviced
Jeez, the rate at which you overtook that camper van 😮 It was just a dot, in a matter of a second 😂
Love it Chopsey although I just bought myself a new KTM Superduke 1290r and then I watch this..🤦♂️😆
Having a 2019 Brock moldded SXSE I like what I see in the 2022 model. My ZX14R has a beautiful motor but like the Busa it's too low. My only gripe w 19 was seat, sweet that's been improved.
Chops a better description for the ‘manual’ preload adjuster is ‘remote’, which implies you don’t have to get a C spanner out 😇
Yup good point 👍
You always make me want to buy every bike you review. 🤣
I hope the headlight kicks out more light than it's size suggests
Good review as always mate. Looking forward to see your opinion on new xsr 900
Why didn't you buy the version with electronic suspensions?.
How fast is that roll-on acceleration?! 🤯Looks so smooth. Great vid as always Chops. 👍🏼
bike looks great .you haven't ridden the new zx10r yet it would be great to hear your thoughts on that. great vid as always .d
A beautiful shade of green, I wonder about maintenance though, on my old Ninja 12 R it took an hour to change the battery. Very handsome machine
Rear suspension setting affects the sitting position. Have the 2020 and Id be interested trying this to see that is really more powerful, I nean it flies on 3rd gear. Maybe mapping is just diffrent due to euro5.
Better handling confidence and feeling than hyabusa and zx14?
Thank you chopsy!
Looking forward to the next videos
Thanks Rutger 👍
Nice one Chopsy - I’m interested ti see how it stacks up against the Busa you liked.
I presume the previous message is spam?
@@gavin4423 Oh yes. Don't ever click on that stuff.
i own a 1000sx 2021.
This bike costs $35,000 in Australia. It needs to have the electronic suspension for that price but here we can't ge that version.
Stunning looking bike be interesting to see what it’s like no long distances ? Great vid as always 👍
Interest piqued 👍
Great vid as always Mr chops
Looking forward to the next wet vid lol 😆 plus garage
All the best mate 👍
Thanks Michael 👍
Great review chops look nice
I am picking up one this week, is the stock windscreen good for sport touring?
WOW stunning bike from Kawasaki 😊 but it weighs more than my GS 🤷 would love to own one but I’m looking for something lighter for my next bike. Great work as always👍 such a pleasure to listen to your honest reviews. 👍🏍🏍🙏
i would suggest to go test the XR. I have mine 2 years, 60 k kms now and had a gs for two days this week (for the 60k service). Very happy to get backon my own. XR is around 225 kg wet
It weighs more but probably handles way better and the power of the GS wont even come close
Do you beleive it worth to get the electronic suspension of SE vs standard version?
I’ve been looking at this bike. But that’s probably as far as it will go. $35k here in Canada. Looking forward to more footage.
Nice review & bike Chops. Seems like Kawasaki have done a decent job. This latest version has gone totally under the radar for me & seems like a great package. Also about time Kwak let people review their bikes too! So big question is, this or the Hayabusa?
Yeah this is a better touring machine as can fit proper luggage and it's more comfortable. Will have to do a comparison
@@LambChopRides Yep makes sense. Kwak is a better more well rounded tourer & the Hayabusa's a bit sportier maybe.
Top review Chops, that engine in a sporty adventure bike would be a fruity recipe. Now your dealing with Kawasaki UK is that why TMF is Wheels motorcycles new best friend?😬
Hey chippy choppy, love your work, how’s the midrange in comparison to the busa? Tech aside, is it a better ride?
Yeah hard to call without doing a back to back... maybe that needs to happen!
If ONLY I had a spare 25,000, I'd happily buy one!
Hello Mr Chops how dose this bike compare with the GSXS 1000GT I know its twice the price. But for what they are both built for which one do you think is a better (Deal / Bike)
