Bought 2 rolex watches in my early 30's. Daytona Zenith and a Sub. I didnt know any better, but at least I payed retail back in 1998. ( 7200 CAD and 4000 CAD ) . Now at 50 I bought my first GO as I have grown! Incredible timepieces and love that almost nobody knows them. Feel I am in a small club.
I absolutely love mine. I get constant complements, and as a bonus it wears better than any piece that I own/have owned. They're not inexpensive, but you'll own it for a lifetime which I feel justifies the price.
I have a Senator Excellence Perpetual Calander. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm proud to have it. Thank you Glashütte Original for producing in my opinion the most beautiful and perfect timepieces.
I love Yann. He's a little bit quirky. Perfect CEO for GO. I'm sitting here with my new Panomatic Lunar (blue dial). It's so incredible. Perfect for a suit, perfect for blue jeans. I've had many new rolexes, omega, Cartier, etc. G.O. is something special. Keeping being Yann.
Hi there... If you don't mind me asking... what makes the PanoMatic Lunar THE watch for you? I am debating between that one (as I haven't got any moon phase yet) or the Seventies Chrono (Being different from other watches in terms of style and technology). Thanks for your comments.
I totally understand you as I have owned some many Rolex sport models and once I got the Glashütte SeaQ Panorama Datum... I totally understood why many people used to tell me that Rolex are overrated and overhyped. When you see the quality, design and functionality of Glashütte ... you understand the difference between a luxury brand and a high end brand ...
My only problem with GO is picking a favorite. Their panograph is one of the most interesting chronographs that I’ve ever seen. Their colored dials are stunning and the senators with Roman numerals have a pocket watch like elegance. All with fantastic movements.
Glashutte Original WILL be my next watch. When I do get my hands on it l, I'm more than sure I will be more proud of it than my Submariner. I can't hardly wait! The delay is killing me!
Sir, your video was fascinating. German watches are known for high quality. When I was in school, we had Kienzle german clock. Very robust and of high quality. We could read the time in the night. The hands and markings were luminous.
Used to love GHO earlier designs. Their bridge-less date display is probably the nicest in the industry. They also made the cleanest perpetual calendar with all display windows instead of a load of subdials and hands to clutter the dial. But a while ago they switched from simple hour marker indices to all Roman or Arabic numeral, so the "cleanliness" is gone.
Beautiful watches. Especially like the clean date window compared to A Lange. Anyone know if their level of finish is to A Lange's standard yet because I prefer the initial aesthetics of GA.
I promise you, we Brits are fully aware of GLASHUTTE ORIGINAL and the superior nature of its product range. I bought my exquisite pano-reserve in March 2004 and it rmains exquisite to this very day.
Glashutte Original is a much better value than Rolex, Patek, A.Lange...for now. Soon the world will discover this amazing brand and prices will go through the roof.
@@FacitOmniaVoluntas. I would like an A Lange but I don't see the point of precious metal on a watch (if I wanted gold I would just buy jewelry) and they don't offer anything but gold.
@@FacitOmniaVoluntas. wrong. They are better value. Take for example lange1 vs pano reserve. Almost the same watch, same nice finishing. Even the engraving on the balance wheel mount is there. Both in gold. And you get the glashutte for half the price. That is better value. What is worth mentioning on the panoreserve the bigdate discs are on the same level while on lange 1 they are on different hence the dividing frame. Better solution and nicer on the glashutte in my opinion. A lange has the bigger name and often the better designs, not so for the lange1 vs panoreserve tho
I would say there a well known brand to watch people. I'd say most people if asked to name a german watch brand would say Lange (ofc) then Probably Glashutte second.
I have several high end watches and I purchased Glashutte Original Senator Sixties gold with datebrand new from an AD. It has been the poorest time keeper of all my watches. It went to Glashutte in Saxony, Germany under warranty and returned after 5 months still gaining 30 sec/day. I don't even want to hear about Glashutte. Will sell it at a loss.
it probably took you 30 seconds to type up this poverty review you fuckstick. as long as you aren't gaining minutes on the day causing NOTICEABLE difference then who cares? Take your whiny non-problems to someone who cares.
Credit Swatch for keeping hands off, and letting GO be GO. There has to be greater financial resources as well if needed. It seems to be working just fine.
Oh please! They wouldn't be financially viable if it weren't for Swatch Group backing them up. Say what you want but I'd rather Swatch over Richemont any day! The only brand that hasn't really benefitted from Swatch Group's involvement is Omega. They've diluted the brand with cheap marketing schemes like the 'Moonswatch'. Aside from Omega, and perhaps Jaquet Droz, the rest of the upper brands in their portfolio are doing better than they ever have, both in reputation and rentability!!

The humbleness in this man and the company.
Glashutte Original watches are criminally underrated.
They make their own movements and their own dials.
Their Dials are magnificent.
95% of the parts are made in house.
I love German watch making. GO has my highest respect.

One of the best watches for the price out there. Excellent video.
As an english man, I can quite easily say Glashutte originals watches are nothing less then pure beauty
Englishman but you don’t know the difference between than and then ?
I have a blue dial seventies Glashutte on a metal bracelet that I absolutely love. Fantastic looks, build quality and presence on the wrist.
I have the Glashütte SeaQ Panorama Datum- love it - amazing piece 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
It is the watch that I am considering to buy next year.

Seems like such a nice person - was a joy watching the interview.

Super cool CEO
Oh to have a command of German comparable to this gentleman's command of English. Very impressive.
Keep it low key! Don't want the prices going up before I buy all the vintages I want..
Eagerly awaiting my GO Senator Automatik. 3 more days :D
Love this brand; hopefully one day I'll get a pair of couple watch with my partner 😌
I have Glashutte spezichron, made in GDR!! :)
I really wish they did not use silicone harispring for this movement.

My only complaint about this brand is that there's hardly any under 40mm watches. My ideal size is 38mm
I've seen heaps. There's senators for instance, I look for them to avoid. Jomas and Chronext are a good place to look
... there are* hardly any ... watches.

the level of finishing is superb -this is not omegas

@@cod-nx2sd Rolex and Omega have their own category that doesn't compete with Glashütte. The competitors would be more like Blancpain or Breguet.
I love GO but there's nothing wrong on the finishing of the newest Omegas.. the new seamaster absolutely shines. But on the movement... 100% agree
I also have a watch. Glashütte (LX-93506) very pleased with him
