Aether Wing was done so dirty after Kayle's rework. Legendary skins are supposed to give a nigh-full VGU to the champ, but Aether Wing's animations are literally the same as base Kayle without the flapping wings. It's only saving grace are the hilarious voice lines of Kayle trying way too hard to be a space cop, but that should've been on Riot Kayle anyways. Speaking of Riot Kayle, I'm surprised it didnt get a mention. It has amazing effects and a fitting concept for being a regular-priced skin.
I still laugh during the very first Pentakill music video where everyone from the band does something spectacular and offered something in the song, but Kayle just... she just lands from the sky and did nothing but fly the entire music video. She did not sing. She did not play an instrument. She just lands... at the END of the song XD
Sun Eater is another strong contender honestly. Like I have at least 7 Kayle skins, all of which I like a lot (and two of them being in this video). So when I got Sun Eater I thought "eh, I'll use it once and forget about it to go back to Pentakill" but I actually loved it and it became another one in my Kayle skin rotation.

Iron inquisitor is my favorite because she doesn't lose her helmet when she levels up. I'm really disappointed that riot doesn't give us an option to put a helmet on like kai'sa or like aatrox's banner wings. If we could, I would've bought sun eater kayle in a heart beat! Its so cool but is brought down by the fact she takes it off.

Before the rework Aether Wing would have easily taken the w, but with it they completely worked over Kayle's default and less expensive skins and completely negligently just tossed Aether Wing along into the mix like it doesn't cost like TWICE the amount of a decent 975RP skin. I feel like the rework came with a huge downgrade to some great skin concepts like Aether Wing and Inquisitor, while Pentakill was barely changed (fortunately) they only added the new forms, but I miss the chainsaw sound effect on the old E :(

I’ve said it before: Pentakill needs a rival band consisting of other champions, and Morgana should mirror Kayle as a vocalist…she would already “fill” that niche as an Evanescence / Within Temptation symphonic vocalist to serve as counter to Kayle’s Metallica / punk aesthetic.
Yes! Kayle just happens to have so many great skins. I always struggle to choose one whenever I pick her. Not only the evolution concept throughout the skin line is cool, but also splash arts. Granted some skin execution may not deliver the idea well enough, but you're not going to spend an entire game looking at her 3D model, no?

Personally, I would still put my vote for Inquisitor. The idea alone of a darker souls-like universe where Kayle performs the exact same role, highlighting how much far removed from being grey her character is, is enough for me, even if skin itself is lackluster. But I get that this channel is primarily about visuals, so I can't argue that Inquisitor can't beat Pentakill without it's armour being an iron maiden that opens up into spiked wings, or relaying story of an Ashen One by starting Kayle in default rags and ascending into some decorated armour.
Every Kayle skin is great mainly because by design they have to put more effort and thought into them due to her changing appearance while leveling. Some of them are a little bit lazy with it but most of the time it ends up being cool as hell, it makes every skin feel a bit like it's in-between an epic and a legendary
As someone who got Aether Wing Kayle back in....2013, I am hella partial to it, old and new versions. I haven't played in almost 4 years. So there are some epic looking skins out now, and I NEED them. However...I was a metal kid and a punk teenager. Pentakill Kayle, old and new version, just rocks my sock off so hard, I gotta get a cast to keep them on afterward.
Okay but Iron Inq really pulls out that distinct feeling of roman catholism. Like an all-knowing judgement that is undeniably ready to present sick justice ((the splash))
Aether Wing is a fun idea, but I kinda like the pre-rework Kayle version of it more. Instead of "Angel-inspired anime power armor" she's an Avatar of Technology, Progress, and Order, this angelic spirit of the concept of invention. The ultimate White-Blue character, for the Magic fans out there. It was neat. Also she had some of *the best* lines from that time period. "Dust in the clockwork" slays as an attack line.
Couldn't agree more. I've hopped that sun-eater was a legendary skin with more details, but they done here dirty releasing a Sivir legendary and sun-eater was another plain design with nothing special, even with "lore accurate angel" thing. It has so much potencial that I've tilted so hard when they released.
I loooove the splash art and colours in Iron Inquisitor as well, but I feel her model doesn't deliver. But I honestly just really like Kayle and she has a lot of good skins so while Iron Inquisitor or maybe Sun Eater are my favorites, I can't be mad with Skyen's pick

Judgement Kayle has always been my favorite simply because it was my first ever skin and I used it alot maining Kayle back in the day
