When we all have faith and believe that Allah (SWT) is the Creator and the Quran is the clear guidance until the Day of Judgment, I don't even understand how our Pakistani Muslim scholars can interpret Quranic verses according to their desires. The consensus of Islamic scholars (Ijma of Ulema) is not equivalent to the words of the Quran and the Sunnah. In cases where there is a contradiction between the scholars' consensus and the Quran and the Sunnah, the Quran and the Sunnah will always take precedence.
