PTSD is a major issue sir! Though I may not be with the armed force, I have a relative who was with the Army, Assam Regiment to be precise. He joined the Army way back in 1985, was a part of the IPKF in Sri Lanka, posted in J&K and Nagaland. He couldn't take it anymore, resigned the army, came back to civvy street and couldn't cope. He became an alcoholic, his words doesn't make sense anymore, he was seen as a nut case, lost his civvy job, his girlfriend, his friends. he became aloof and always edgy. He died before he was even 39, when alcohol took him. At first we didn't know about PTSD, we took it as the effects of his dependence on alcohol. It was only after his death did we learnt about PTSD and how it affects soldiers who were posted in violent areas.
PTSD is major issue to every army in world,But In India We Take "Masculinity" so granted that we afraid of Taking About It.Goverment Should really take serious action in this regard🙏

Last year I went to ladakh and at pangong tso and at thang village which is the northernmost indian village I saw and witnessed the calm that army has maintained plus I met a few guys in shyok war Memorial, they were from sikh regiment so seeing them do what they do in such a hostile territory away from their families and then some politician who has all the privileges says that ladakh is gone, china has taken ladakh, it's disheartening and disrespectful for that soldier who is putting everything on the line everyday for safeguarding us and that politician too in that sense.
Some expert said US approach to PTSD by regularly putting soldiers to counseling and formally encouraging all soldiers in to psychiatric help has had adverse effects too, and even a demoralizing effect.

I want to live a life without fear that's why I'm trying my best to become a contributor for this nobal profession but fail in ssb now I am preparing for soldier tech ( ACC ) but it's about 2 year not single bharti organised in my ARO and also i am eligible for relation bharti ( AMC) ,relation bharti also not organised about 1.5 year but i will keep trying ( also after completing my Btech ) until I got success in ssb or there was not a single way to join army
Sir I'm civilian but sometimes I genuinely feel I should be in serving in RR for hunting yes I know there are chances that I can get hunted. But uske bina ye jawani kisi kaam ki nhi lagti
