Hello Ms Presha. You said something interesting. I realize this TH-cam video is 3 years old but. You said if you have 25k with a credit score over 650 buying a home is doable. What does look like for a senior 25k credit score over 800
I wonder what community she lives in.. Where I'm from in South LA, and where my family and friends live, there definitely isn't a positive sense of community. Especially not driving down Fig and see the homelessness and prostitution, or the street dumping under the freeway bridges, or druggies in the corner.. I love my home south LA though and I really wish I would have been able to afford purchasing a house there. But it was cheaper to move to a city about 20 mins east. Much safer here in Norwalk too!
Hey, Yvette! I 100 percent get what you’re saying, and I think Heather’s perception is real but not a universal truth for South LA (and the same wouldn’t be for any other city, either). From what I’ve seen, there are pockets of community, typically in the southwestern part of the region. Especially west of Western. And you’re right, along the Figueroa corridor, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of community (but it can be hidden in pockets or relationships between neighbors). It would take a lot of community mobilization, input, and concern to tackle the issues along that street. But quite frankly, it’s hard to do if needs aren’t met, and your concerned for your own family’s safety. Part of the reason I made this channel is for South LA residents to be proud about where they live. It’s that pride that makes community possible. It makes change possible. But there are so many others unlike you who aren’t happy about their home. At that leads to people doing less about undesirable conditions. And you’re also right about pricing. You can hardly find anything under $500k in South LA that’s move-in ready (and we’re not even talking about homes with a recent facelift)! I’m glad you and your family have found something that you like in Norwalk, though. It’s a great community, I hear!
@@SouthLARecap Thank you. What might she have been referring to, if you don't mind me asking? (Grew up in The Jungle, always wanted to live up in The Dons.)
Hi! Do you think South Los Angeles will be gentrified? We are looking for a home. I don’t want to live in SOuth LA. I live once on 64th Street and Gage. It was the worst. Cops and shooting every damm night
I love this comment, "you can be in the stands or your can be in the parade."
Bravo, Eric! Thanks for the interview. I love your show and wish you all the best. South LA forever!!
Thank you, Heather. This interview was so much fun!

What does "in the cut" mean, at the end of her comments?
It’s an older slang term for something hidden, not easily found,, deep into an area.
