The two groups are basically family to each other, as they know that even if the rest of the world turns against them, they would still have each other. And both groups respect each other as well, as shown by the parting verbal jabs between Cyclops & Avalanche.

Of all the incarnations of the X-Men, this is my favorite. Especially since they portray Wolverine as a cool uncle figure and there's no love triangle between Jean, Scott and Logan (that was really an unnecesary footnote).
Why you would call an integral plot point since the 60s “unnecessary” is beyond me. The 90s X-men is perfect because it keeps the love triangle in tact. Not only is it a power struggle between leaders, but it’s infinitely more interesting. Evolutions is good but I can’t wait for them to expand when x97 comes back.

Plus, we see a glimpse of Jean becoming Phoenix and the Sentinels being led by Nimrod. During the professors vision, we never did see Wolverine. I read somewhere that there was one of two theories why he wasn't seen. 1. He retired from the team and left. 2. He had died at some point. Nimrod and the Sentinels, plus Jean becoming Phoenix, were actually going to be stories in the next season that never happened.

Jean is always struggling...smh..i still never understood that about her. If shes supposed to be all powerful, why struggle to pick up juggernaut. And ither things, i once asked Chris Claremont that question, he chuckled and never gave me an answer because there were a 100 people all around us, (nyc comic Con 1998 ish) asking him a 100 questions and my question was lost in the shuffle😅. It's the same for her as it is for speedsters. They are too powerful, so if they were undisturbed and used their abilities wisely, they would solve any situation quickly and there would be no drama. No drama = no show. That's why the writers have to come up with excuses as to why these characters can't use their powers 100%. Sometimes those excuses are good, most of the times they are bad 😂
Magneto doesn't have as much difficulty with his power because he only has a limited range on what he can control. Jean's power is far more versatile, but harder to use as a result.
I have to say, this is a very weak depiction of the juggernaut. He looks skinny, when Juggernaut walks he not only shakes the ground but also imprints his foot in the ground too. His helmet is only attached by a flip-up latch?, accessible to anyone who can flip it open?? What is this? Honestly, he's always had it bolted down by metal bolts. I consider this to be weak writing too. Because, if he is truly Cyttorak's avatar, his agent of carnage and the living engine of destruction--then why dosen't the demon lord(Cyttorak) magically seal his helmet to his head/neck--and only allow Cain Marko to remove it? Utter nonsense, I say.

His helmet is only attached by a flip-up latch?, accessible to anyone who can flip it open?? What is this? Honestly, he's always had it bolted down by metal bolts. I consider this to be weak writing too. Because, if he is truly Cyttorak's avatar, his agent of carnage and the living engine of destruction--then why dosen't the demon lord(Cyttorak) magically seal his helmet to his head/neck--and only allow Cain Marko to remove it?
