No, Peter Parker really doesn't have that bad of a life. His life is practically no different from the average person with the main exception being that his love life is perpetually in shambles. He doesn't really lose that much in terms of people close to him. Wolverine, on the other hand, was surrounded by perpetual death and suffering all his life. His love life was so scuffed because They all kept dying horrible deaths to the point whereby him having no memory of most of it was a blessing

that's not entirely true, ultimate spiderman was created when fans were expecting the third season of spectacular spiderman and disney decided to cancel it and make their own show that they could profit from. Fans still wanted spiderman stories to be made and what we got was a childish cartoon that didn't take anything seriously and tried way too hard at being funny. What fans wanted hasn't changed, what changed were the agenda of the people making these shows and thinking they know what their wievers want despite refusing to listen to them
