I am still looking at this trike. I think if I had that seat, I would make up 4 spacers from 1 inch dia. aluminum about 4 inches long and mount the seat on top of them to raise it up a bit. And still come up with something that Gary mentioned as well. Awesome review Richard!
They need to build a basket extension and ship it with the seat I can have one of those made up this afternoon. I like to solve problems for bike companies.
I thought of the same thing as you, but the one concern I have is that if you were to put something heavy into the basket there might be an issue with the center of balance for safe operations?
@ I don’t really think it would be a problem with that bike. You’re not gonna be offsetting the balance by more than 8 inches probably and that bike is a very heavy bike to start with with low center of gravity.
When you push that seat all the way back, it reminds me of the 6 3 0 you have there with the seat over the rear wheels. Only with lots more power and range. And coolness.
Richard, thank you for this honest review of the MeetOne. Very much appreciated. If you mentioned the handlebars/stem, I may have missed it. I was thinking it would be nice with how close the knees are if the handlebar stem would move up. I’m with you, though. I think I’d be using the regular seat, even though I’m short. Baskets are an absolutely essential feature for me.
Thank you. The handle bar stem can be pushed forward or you can rotate the handlebars down, but you can't raise them up. Could possibly add a riser but then you would be reaching up to much. I wouldn't like that.
I am buying the Meet One Breeze that seat will work great on it because the basket sits lower and moving it back wont interfere I wish I could buy the Tour but I live in a apartment and I need a trike that folds so I can put it in my storage closet which is big but the Tour is too long and cant fold.
The Tour is a big trike for sure. I will be getting the Breeze Pro around the first of February. As for the seat, I don't know if it will fit the Breeze but perhaps it will.
@@EbikeReviews I will eventually gets one of these (the tour). I will be exploring to see if there is an unapproved mod I can do however, I won't wreck the trike. Thanks for your feedback.
So basically a cross between a mobility scooter and a trike. Too many mobility scooters have governors on them that restrict you to 4-8mph. So traveling distances take too long. So good concept but needs work to take consideration into variables( height, weight). Huge basket is a good start as usually many of us seniors go out mainly for shopping. Being within a reasonable distance then we could ditch the car and take the trike. A maybe get a little light leg exercise. Since many trike companies are focused on seniors then makes sense to figure out what our needs are. The large basket and comfortable seat is a winner for myself… except I’m 6’2 so unless they make seat height adjustments a thing I have to bow out. Not all of us automatically shrink to 5’6” when we get over 65. 😂
I think the solution is an aluminum plate that uses the original holes then extends 10” back with holes to match the basket. I said 10” to allow some recline in the seat back. 🤔
Yeah, Gary over at Gary's eBike Adventures and I have been talking about it. I have yet another new seat on the way so I will wait to see what they send.

So I can expect one by next week?

One of the best seats that i've ever seen but I like the big basket also maybe you can get a backpack for the back of the seat
These things are getting crazy!

Definitely.

Elevate the seat and make an extension for the basket and it may be ok. Those modifications would probably be easy if you have any skills at all.
I wonder if you could split the difference and put the basket on the upgraded seat and still get about 3 inches of adjustment?
Unfortunately, with the basket, there is no adjustment at all. The seat must be all the way forward which makes it not very useful.

What's next? A Stratolounger chair for your e trike? Including a cup holder.
Looks like a great seat but I'd go with the original to have the utility of the basket.
I already switched it back. :-)
