thank you for the video, also yes the reassembly. what kind of grease did you use? i would think that a mild "loctite" type or antiseize type of coating would be needed. taking it apart some of the screws had blue or white dabs , from stock (first disassembly)
Hi, thank you very much for your video. One question do you have any video doing it for a Shimano Tiagra Caliper? I have not been able to remove the pivot bolt.😅😅
Hi! Thanks for your comment; I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry to hear about the trouble with removing the pivot bolt from the Tiagra caliper. I don’t have a video on that specific issue yet, but I’ll definitely add it to my list of future topics. Stay tuned, and best of luck with the caliper maintenance!🙂
Hey, sorry to hear you've lost the plastic sleeve. To replace it, you'll need to check the brand and model of your brake caliper and see if the manufacturer offers a replacement part. However, these aren't typically common replacement parts. Let me know if you're able to find the replacement or come up with another solution. Good luck!
Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear about the issue with your side pivot bolt-it’s frustrating when things don’t go as planned. However, I’d like to clarify that my video is intended as guidance to help viewers with their repairs. The decision to proceed and how the steps are executed ultimately depends on the person doing the repair. If you’d like, feel free to share what went wrong, and I’ll do my best to advise on how to address it or avoid similar issues in the future. I genuinely want my videos to be as helpful as possible, and feedback like this helps me improve. Best wishes,
The put-it-back-together part is especially appreciated, thank you!
You're welcome. I'm glad it was useful for you.
Thank you, Arek!
I both enjoyed and found the video useful.
