Hey there, I'm Brandon Moon, and tonight we're tying a versatile, cool pattern: the Stream Raider. This micro hopper or caddis imitation attractor pattern is perfect for a variety of hatches and environments. Let's dive in! 🌊
Materials:
. Hook: ML Premium Toata ML12, size 14 (can be tied in sizes 10-16)
. Thread: Sfly Classic Wax 12 O in Floral Green
. Foam: 2mm Adams Gray
. Glue: Loctite Super Glue
. Body: Magpie Premium Wild Bar Turkey Biot in Green Drake
. Dubbing: Pel Olive Beaver
. Wing: Cascade Hog Wing
. Legs: Shakon Floro Chartreuse and Clear
. Hot Spot: 1mm Bright Green Foam
Steps:
. Start your thread behind the hook eye, wrap smoothly to the back bend, then forward again.
. Apply super glue on the hook and thread.
. Lay 2mm foam over the hook, cinch down, and create a tapered body.
. Tie in a soaked turkey biot, wrap it forward to create a segmented body.
. Add a bulge with Pel Olive Beaver dubbing.
. Secure the Cascade Hog Wing and trim.
. Form the thorax head with more Pel Olive Beaver dubbing.
. Add foam to create a bubble head and tie in legs with Shakon Floro Chartreuse.
. Finish with a 1mm bright green foam hot spot and trim for a clean look.
