Obviously I rocked all the SoCal Bro gear growing up, but I have to admit, I'm really glad the baggy and loose riding gear and threads are gone. Looking at stuff like this takes me back and makes me remember so many good ol days that just seem like yesterday. So glad the two strokes have made such a strong comeback. We all grew up on them and nothing sounds much better. I grew up off of Palm Ave in South San Diego/IB area. Back in the day, my neighborhood was just west of the 805, on the other side was just dirt and open hills growing up. Everyone would ride down there. I could hear everyone riding from my back yard when I was at home. Once I got old enough, my parents would let me gear up at home and then cruise over the bridge to go ride by myself with friends. When the huge real estate boom started they built a Kaiser hospital and Walmart, Home Depot, and an AMC Theater along with a bunch of other stores. Then they started building houses and kept pushing East, taking away such an awesome area to ride in the middle of San Diego, without having to drive way East. It sure was an end of an era. Truly love watching these and getting such vivid and great memories. Thank You Dave for sharing all these.
Mr. Dawes, thank you so much for always keeping a camera rolling back in these early days. Somehow you knew these videos would be like gold one day. so nostalgic watching them
Ive been watching these for awhile now, reminiscing how I use to watch these guys as a kid and now the crusty tour in aus has just been announced. I know its not the same group of riders, it would be sick if Deegan and twitch would show, I dought it and I don't even no if im going to go but im pumped to see them back in action. No better timing for me haha.
Love it good old freestyle MX when it was all good 2stroke bike's that were real bikes not this BS they have out 2day keep the content and videos coming
a couple shots may have made it in Push It to the Limit but there was also some TV crew there that day filming for a TV show. I couldn't remember what show it was. I was hoping someone might have remembered it. The host of the show was called Uncle E
Braaaapppp braaaapppppp nothing beats that 2 stroke pure my man I wish you could still buy nofear gear today the only brand in my opinion that looks good is shift n fast house
The very 1st film trip I ever went on was with Cinqmars to Glamis. It was 1999 New Years but I haven't been able to find that footage yet. ( I wasn't very organized with my footage back then). If I can find something I will post it.
