A4 is a bit smaller (but ok), A4 is (about) 21 x 30cm (8x12" or thereabouts). So something slightly bigger if available, if not, then an A4 magazine will do it.
Folded my shirts like this. Put them in a suitcase. Two airports and a bunch of stevedores later they came out of my case in excellent condition. Many thanks for taking the time to show us.
Same here, I now use it for my T-shirts as wel, for my, underwear, for my socks, It happened that I even pack my electronics such as my laptop around a wooden plank now.
Been doing this for years using a plastic clip board. I had also bought a cool plastic contraption in Singapore that was made for this. I use trifold and fold the arms going down towards the bottom of the shirt. As for the collar, if you fold on an ironing board, you can have the collar overhang the edge of the board. When you stack two shirts, stack them with buttons facing each other with the collars at opposite ends. If you don't have the shirt bags, the plastic bags from the dry cleaners work great or even larger plastic grocery bags.
That's brilliant. What a simple thing to learn after I've been ironing my own shirts for 30 years and filling my wardrobe with them on hangers.. Thank you, Mr Francomb, that's a real help.
Always nice to see someone who knows what he is doing. I used to keep the cardboard that came with the shirts for folding the shirt and they used to put a th8n cardboard piece under the collar to keep it’s shape great help for storage.thanks for the video.
2:07 Why oh why do these video editors insist on showing us the instructors face? We want/need to see what he's doing that's all. All we need is the instructor's voice and a close-up of his hands.
Uncle Meat If you need a close up to fold a shirt then somethings off. This video is for the technique of how, steps. Not a play by play of what your hands should be doing. Be a man, learn through experience what his hand movements are.
It's supposed to be an instructional video. When you are watching someone demonstrate a technique, students watch his hands and listen to his voice, they don't stand there like morons staring at his face. Uncle Meat is correct.
OK the chopping board tip is handy but 'then fold in the sleeves'? Is that it? Ironically, it's a T.M. Lewin double-cuffed shirt I was trying to fold that brought me here and it's the folding of the sleeves that is giving me a headache.
never liked folding proper shirts. im just too fussy with the slightest crease, and not matter how well u fold a shirt, its still a fold. so it'll still have creases. oh well, hangers/garment carriers are cool too!
Ha ha ha haaaagh! (Sorry, but the thought of the wrinkled shirts in a bag was too much. Folding a shirt like this takes about a minute. I think we can all find a minute in 24 hrs.!)
Hello, thanks we are glad that you enjoyed our video. Unfortunately, we do not stock the products that you require, but you should be able to purchase them from a department store. Hope that this helps.
Amazing.....ive struggled all my life to fold shirts and within 5 minutes ive just folded and packed 5 shirts into my weekend bag...perfectly. p.s. I just used a magazine...worked to a tee. Thanks.
To secure, tuck shirt tails into gap formed behind collar in back of shirt during the folding process - instead of just folding shirt tails under as shown in video as the last fold. Also, not sure I understand why the sleeves are folded so many times (like ribbon). Seems unnecessary and produces additional creases. I DIY'd my own folding board by trimming-to-size a thin plastic flexible kitchen cutting board purchased inexpensively at Walmart. Due to its flexibility, the board can remain inside the shirt and together they can be slightly bent while inserting into the plastic shirt bag. Remove the board after the shirt is properly in place inside the bag. The shirt ought not become disheveled during insertion, due to the support of the board (and easier to accomplish). My dry cleaner gave/sold these plastic dry cleaner shirt bags to me. It's been so long ago, I can't remember which. I'd guess they were free bc we're good customers. (I'd switched from folded to hang-up service but an occasional trip required folding at home)
It's 1AM, I'm here watching a man fold a shirt and I'm okay with that.

4 am here
It's 5 a.m. here and ditto.
😂😂
They used to have a packing video that he presented but I can’t find it 😢. That was pure ASMR heaven.
I have that exact shirt from T.M Lewin as well, this tutorial couldn't possibly be more relevant haha
Thank you very much for this video.
Ikea 6 litre zip lock bags fit perfectly.
Thanks
Any average sizes for the board?
Hi, What size is the wood board ?
He said about 4x8
thank you ^^
I think he said "about A4", not 8x4. A4 sheets are 11x8.5"

Hello, I'm looking for a navy shirt for war.
Wrong video, my friend
Federal Bureau of Investigation shirt not suit
@@cryptsofoldkur616 Yeah... but cool sense of humour.
Loved the comment
Haha I get that reference 🤣
Excellent stuff, I can see why Batman had him as a butler.
bluesteel8976 I logged in just to give a thumbs up to your brilliant comment. Thank you sir.
bluesteel8976 .
This is the perfect technique to estabilish your navvy suit for war
This does not work unless you have the cool English accent.
I think i have the English accent as well, but who hears tell i sound like an Indian😬i don't know why 😪
Still laughing.
That shirt looked so neat, that I got an instant urge to go and fold a shirt using that method! I don't care even if it's one o'clock at night!
Folded my shirts like this. Put them in a suitcase. Two airports and a bunch of stevedores later they came out of my case in excellent condition. Many thanks for taking the time to show us.
Raf! La?🎊🎉😱♥️🤩
I started using this technique with my dress shirts. Then my casual shirts. Then my t-shirts. Becomes addictive after a while.
Same here, I now use it for my T-shirts as wel, for my, underwear, for my socks, It happened that I even pack my electronics such as my laptop around a wooden plank now.
@@Goldendinosaur 😂😂😂
For those asking for dimensions of the board, he said it's slightly bigger than A4. An A4 sheet of paper is approximately 8 1/4" x 11 3/4".
AlumniWeaver I use my iPad Pro 😁
Thank you!!
You saved me from having to ask
He also said a magazine so I get my measure ments off and magazine
I´m on a streak watching every video on this channel and this man is a wizard.
this is relaxing.
ASMR

This man is the Gordon Ramsay of tailoring without the cursing lol
Can I use my ipad instead of the board?
lol!!!!
Yeah use it. It would be blast off
I have two of them. Thanks for the tip; it makes the other one useful. 😁
I use my iPad Pro for this all the time
I see he has established a shirt folding instructional video on how to establish the perfect fold.
Folding is just such a soothing thing to do, I used to work in retail and I still find myself fixing shirt piles in stores. 😆
Hello, mam
How much do workers get paid to work in your store? But I work in retail stores
I love the idea of a shirt folding emergency!
Can you use the board to help put it in the plastic bag in the end and then pull the board out?
bruh this guy really pulled out a chopping board to fold a shirt
That's brilliant. What a simple thing to learn after I've been ironing my own shirts for 30 years and filling my wardrobe with them on hangers.. Thank you, Mr Francomb, that's a real help.
Hi Rich, you can use a similar technique to fold other clothing items, like knits and polo tops. This option should work for most options.
What a brilliant technique, a Master Craftsman. Thanks for posting.
i believe most of the viewers are man. One of them is me.
yesterday you said your were a woman. You're not fooling anybody
Handy to know for when you work in Primark formal section
Hehe
What do you do in the normal section? The 3 second fold?
Always nice to see someone who knows what he is doing. I used to keep the cardboard that came with the shirts for folding the shirt and they used to put a th8n cardboard piece under the collar to keep it’s shape great help for storage.thanks for the video.
A striped shirt for war.
skip to 1:23
where's that bald brown guy with asmr voice
Hi Mohamed, we can unfortunately as it's a old video but 30cm by 20cm will work.
When you apply for stocks at a clothing store, but you weren’t prepared and are fairly incompetent, so you search “how to fold a shirt”.
2:07 Why oh why do these video editors insist on showing us the instructors face? We want/need to see what he's doing that's all. All we need is the instructor's voice and a close-up of his hands.

No, I get what he means. I got lost at the sleeve part.
It's supposed to be an instructional video. When you are watching someone demonstrate a technique, students watch his hands and listen to his voice, they don't stand there like morons staring at his face. Uncle Meat is correct.
A_Wise_Young_Man I can't believe you're actually whining like a bitch over this...
thanks spot on will help me for my job
Excellent, thank you very much for this!
Excellent! I also never thought Iwould be searching for this surely.
Great great thank you! really gets addictive!
I think this is a bit of obsessive.
I am wondering how some idiots have disliked this useful video!
Thank you so much sire for a such a great video. I liked it!
Same
Aryan Parsi There are always complainers....
Because it's not a secure fold. The shirt falls open the minute you pick it up.
Way to much talking and fluff is why. Just get on with it.
11 years ago and you just taught us how to fold a shirt
Well........that's okay!
I'm clapping my hands! Very useful. Thanks and receive my greetings from Brazil.
Thank you very much, extremely useful demo.
That shirt would go great with my navy suit for war
OK the chopping board tip is handy but 'then fold in the sleeves'? Is that it? Ironically, it's a T.M. Lewin double-cuffed shirt I was trying to fold that brought me here and it's the folding of the sleeves that is giving me a headache.
You are amazing!!!You gave me hope to iron and fold my boss's business shirts.Im not perfect yet but my work is much better!Thank you soo much!
I would do that for sure only when I'm able enough to purchase $1000 shirt that deserve that much care.
80 seconds of dire chat and some close ups of the guy's face. Then the actual folding is filmed from the side. An absolute waste of time.
I struggled and struggled with folding shirts. You made it look so simple. Then it struck me to check youtube.Thank you very much.
That's me in print I really hope this help
My work uniform shirts are Lewin ones - amazing quality!!
But remember you won't be able to patient it now as it's out in the public domain since Hugothebear just said it :)
You have some splendid videos, thank you for your help, I shall try to carry it with me for the future.
great can you come and do my sweatshirt please, i want to pull my own arms off it's so impossible 😫
I have about five shirts in my wardrobe...thats all. Oh, and two don't fit.
Thank you very much for this easy and clever way to fold a shirt! :)
Hilarious - aimed at over 50s I presume since no-one under that age even bothers to iron these days let alone fold.
never liked folding proper shirts. im just too fussy with the slightest crease, and not matter how well u fold a shirt, its still a fold. so it'll still have creases. oh well, hangers/garment carriers are cool too!
Overly tedious with the demo....😕😕😕😕😮😮😮😑😑😑!!!!
good idea thanks a lot mr.
It's not just a shirt.. It is an art
Ha ha ha haaaagh! (Sorry, but the thought of the wrinkled shirts in a bag was too much. Folding a shirt like this takes about a minute. I think we can all find a minute in 24 hrs.!)
I’ve watched this for 13 years and still can’t fold a shirt 🥴
I can’t seem to control what happens to my clothing once it’s in the suitcase- like a spin drier
Hello, thanks we are glad that you enjoyed our video. Unfortunately, we do not stock the products that you require, but you should be able to purchase them from a department store. Hope that this helps.
There is a danger that the shirt hanging out of the jeans will look scruffy, rather than 'cool' (which, of course, it is!)
Why haven't this channel posted any thing recently?????
They had loads more videos but they deleted them!
If you haven’t got a board you can always putabitapaper in
I learned this working at Banana Republic. I like this job, nice discount, learn how to dress, easy job, hot girls...
Amazing.....ive struggled all my life to fold shirts and within 5 minutes ive just folded and packed 5 shirts into my weekend bag...perfectly.
p.s. I just used a magazine...worked to a tee.
Thanks.
hes a shirt nerd!
Great video. Thank you. What a good idea the board is
I have established that this establishment is not established enough
Hello, how many shirts are you stacking on top of each other as this may affect the collar?
Hello, yes you must iron the shirt before you wear it otherwise it'll look messy.
even in an EMERGENCY you have used a plastic chopping board to fold your shirt? lol
I don't know why but I enjoy this video!
I dont like it... cause its TOO PERFECT!!
How do I establish the size of the board?
Do you recommend Shirt with Jeans tuckd out? im talking about dark jeans.
So is my navy suit ready already or not?!
a kitchen cutting board works just fine, and should be clean anyway..
Are you able to stack few to reduce the weight on the shirts?
I’m surprise this didn’t go down into “unintentional ASMR” because this really... *suits* the category
Thank you, much appreciated, yes it is a perfectly folded shirt, and it was like watching Anderson Cooper folding his shirt 😊
I love it! Thanks so much!
Not all shirts are regular, some are waisted. This appears to be more difficult when folding. Any ideas?
Hey! Can you remember Sheila Hearn?
To secure, tuck shirt tails into gap formed behind collar in back of shirt during the folding process - instead of just folding shirt tails under as shown in video as the last fold.

In an emergency he's used a Joseph Joseph plastic chopping board. An emergency. What kind of guy is this?
Excellent work. You made my work very easy. Thanks
Great skill. Thank you
Seems like this dude has lots of cash.
I buy most of my shirts from T.W. Lewin excellent product , and service
Love your videos! What are the dimensions of the board? Couldn't quite hear on this lovely tutorial. Thanks:)
then apartly you think its should be childs play :D
Sir you are my saviour! I trave a lot and I always have trouble packing mi shirts. From now on I won't have wrinkled shirts (sorry my English).
