I did a little bit of weight lifting and MMA when I was in the Marines, so I always felt like a strong guy. I went to visit my cousin at my uncles farm. He wanted to do an arm wrestling contest. I 100% thought I was going to win. I was bigger than him by quite a bit too. After all, he's just a farmer. Nope. He won and made it look easy. He wasn't an arm wrestler with good technique either. Guy was just strong from years of daily work.

Farmers work their whole body so all of their muscles are equally trained and the muscles they work with are the one that actually help you to do stuff. For example, grip strength of humans don't depend much on biceps or muscle mass. There is a spefic muscle in the wrist that determines the grip strength.

See people like bodybuilders don't understand that true strength comes from 2 things; muscle size, and neurological training. Muscles take a lot of energy to function. If you have super big muscles but terrible neural training, you aren't putting out your maximum strength. That's why a lot of times you'll see more compact and smaller people or larger more fat individuals who have a higher output of strength. I have nothing against bodybuilders but bigger doesn't always mean you're stronger. If you want to be in shape that's great, it's just annoying seeing gym bros think they're the shit when in reality, they just have Hollywood muscles for looks.

I know this one guy, he's a year older than me but likes working and just in general farm work is his favorite. Every summer he helps farmers around us with lifting hay stacks onto tractors.
