Weight and strength don't always correlate and in a proper tug of war the weight is balanced by limits. I, at 180lbs could probably beat the average 260lb man at tug of war, the same way a featherweight fighter could beat them in their specific sport. Technique matters.

Farmers aren’t extremely fit unless they be doing most things by physical labor and not machinery. They are strong though as they lift heavy things etc and a lifetime of heavy things usually since they were teens. Bodybuilder VS Farmers is a fair challenge but I’d say body builders because body builders with strength but farmers with endurance.. they gotta work longer days etc sometimes into the night. But it stops being stiff about 15 mins into the shift . But the repetitive action long hour days brute strength. U can spend 3 hours at the gym. Farmer live at the gym quite literally.

Weight and strength don't always correlate and in a proper tug of war the weight is balanced by limits.
I, at 180lbs could probably beat the average 260lb man at tug of war, the same way a featherweight fighter could beat them in their specific sport. Technique matters.
