A question regarding point in Oneworld: does flying with JAL make one gain avios? Or rather, when flying with JAL ,one should insert another Company (Oneworld of course) memberhsip number?
Nice review thank you, we're flying this next year from Sydney. Why did they block the window seats on a full flight? I hope they don't on my flight I booked with them to try this seat.
Window seat in this particular configuration is considered as superior since it's much more private and it comes with direct aisle access. That's why JAL always block the window seats on their 787-8 (international configuration) for their higher tier members
If you have a Business Class ticket on JAL and any other Oneworld carriers, you Oneworld Status is irrelevant when accessing the Cathay Pacific Lounge. Oneworld Satus is only relevant if you are trying to gain entry into a lounge if you are flying Economy Class.
@@adamli8774 You might want to check the official Oneworld lounge entry rules. Do you actually know of any JAL business class passengers without Oneworld Emerald/Sapphire that got denied entry? Sometimes front line staff are not well versed in the official Oneworld rules and you need to push them.
@@adamli8774I look at other review, the status is for access to Cathay’s first class lounge. JAL business class ticket should allows you to enter their business class lounge
I always keep at least USD 1,000 cash in my wallet just in case I don't get a window seat in business class and use it to pay another passenger to trade with me!

Basically yes but sometimes airlines and airports have different rules.

I believe if you hold a JAL business class ticket, you cannot visit the Cathay lounge at Heathrow if you are not Oneworld Sapphire/Emerald member
