@@conniee. Never heard that saying, but clearly it makes sense. We should collectively stop entertaining the bad as the viewers, but the thing is it’s just not that easy, especially when it’s stuff that’s happening close to home. Many stories from my town never make the news, so that just means more towns are in that same position as far as things not making it to the news. So I guess it’s safe to say that there’s most likely more to choose from in the negative stack than it is the good stuff, sadly enough. 😞
Such a good lady that puts things into perspective. Well done!
This is REAL LIFE and I love it, not staged, not sanitized, heartwarmingly unpredictable!
The best stage is one that appears real. The owner could have intentionally let the dog loose and then later acted like it was an accident. After all, the owner was well aware of the dog’s behavior and perhaps wanted to see what the dog could do in a meet.
@@jakemccoy the owner "could" have trained the dog to race, the girl "could" have owned the dog, the dog "could" be after some food it smelled, the race "could" have been rigged by the high school, the camera work "could" be deceptively edited.....
get a better life.
@@jakemccoy Scepticism is not logic.
@@billtuqoise1343 In order to believe this story is true, you had to make a lot of assumptions that simply are not in the video. And who said anything about training the dog? The owner could have simply let the dog off the leash knowing full well what the dog would try to do. Is that really an impossible scenario in your mind? Give me an honest answer. Is that like Martians landing to you?
@@jakemccoy Too bad for you my life is happier than yours. AND ALWAYS WILL BE.
Gracie: "They like me! They really like me!!"
Dog: "Hold my beer.."
Just think, that dog has average speed among all dogs.
plus he was just jogging. That dog has much more in the tank. A standard house cat can outrun the fastest humans in a short burst too.
No coincidence Dog spelled backwards is God , you can tell the young lady running has both in her heart
That hound can bolt. She was moving! 🤣
Seems to me they need to include the dog in their training program!
look up canicross, it's a thing
Enjoyed seeing the dog run. Lovely
Plot twist: Holly will not be able to compete in Tokyo because she tested positive for taking THC dog treats.
Hilarious 🤣
Considering THC is toxic to dogs I'm not surprised
@@BenReillySpydr1962 ...and that too.
Plot twist: Holly once competed in the Puppy Bowl and scored 3 touchdowns.
Holly Mayweather is also an undefeated boxing champ
Dogs are so awesome and adorable ❤
Wow! I'm so glad we all got through this tragedy. God Bless everyone.
What a surprise that the track race participants will talk about for years to come.
Breaking news: Holly gets on a bicycle, and takes the lead in the Tour de France!
Was the dog tested for drugs
Holly is the perfect size for the Tour de France - she'd slip right under any sign-holding attention seekers!
Alez Opi Omi!
This video is too cute!😍 The lil doggie was so happy running.😁
We don’t deserve dogs. They are just so pure.
The secret to be a sprinter, trained with a dog chasing you
Imagine thinking the crowd is going crazy for your athletic abilities! When in fact a mini golden doodle was the real star! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This dog is hilarious! I was at a football game and a squirrel took off running for the goal post. The crowd went wild, the football players were so confused because after they scored the crowd was still yelling, Go go Go! They looked and saw the squirrel running for the goal post like a champ. LOL
The best part is that she thought people were cheering her on for a hot second lol.
That was absolutely brilliant and adorable!! 😁😂💚🥰
"Brilliant"? Choose your words more thoughtfully.
@@judithrandall4690 nope I thought it was just as I said. My opinion.
@@judithrandall4690- Words like adjectives do not always follow narrow literal definitions; in the UK for example, "brilliant" is often used as the colloquial equivalent of "awesome". Besides, the dictionary also has it meaning "bright" & thus it could equally apply to bright & happy things (& moments, ppl, places, etc), the way it describes light itself. Why harp on ppl's word usage in FUN contexts? Let everyone shine _brilliantly.._ ♡
@@SimbiAni OK.
@@SimbiAni
The bright description in the dictionary is referring to light… as in “the brilliant sunlight.” But yeah, it is indeed a common descriptor used in the UK to say something is fantastic. Judith was quite ignorant to not know that.
I like Holly"the real underdog"- for a little dog, she sure is fast! Congrats to Logan girls for their 1st place, and Laney the final leg winner, who was also so good natured!
Parents: Go Gracie!
Dog: Hold my beer

I hate reporters like that.
@@kristyw89 Most reporters couldn't care less about animals period! I was witness to that in NYC when a cat got stuck inside a building.
Great video! Something wholesome on this site is rare but inspiring
2 years later.. still a great classic story
Thank you for sharing. 💞🌟🕊🌺💯
That is fascinating. The dog waited until the final runner was in the race. He started exactly at the right point in time.
I was hoping the owner would run after the dog screaming, "Fenton!!"
😂😂😂
🤣🤣 you caught me off guard. Glad I was not drinking anything!
God I love internet callbacks
Sorry young lady the medal goes to this 4 legged runner.

NOPE!
For sure!! Won it fair and square!!! 😂😂😂😂

She will lose the law suit because she was not officially on the team.
