- Former Israeli leader Ehud Olmert has warned 'people are going to suffer' and tells ITV's Rageh Omar the country will need to do something it has never done before to defeat Hamas.
It comes as the country's current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israel would “crush and destroy” Hamas in response to its attack.
Mr Netanyahu said every member of the militant group was a “dead man" as Israel mobilised more than 360,000 military reservists near the Gaza border ahead of a possible ground invasion.
