“Bring on the dancing girls and put the champagne on ice…” That’s how Bon Scott lived. What a larger than live singer! He was THE best! R.I.P. BON! We miss you 😏
Misogynist!!! Haha
@cheechdubinsky6709 nope. Ha ha
This song is one of their best. RIP Bon Scott 🤘🏻
Rock in Peace
And R.I.P. Malcolm Young
Powerage is my favorite ac/dc album. Banger all the way through. The AC/DC trifecta is Powerage, Highway to Hell and Back in Black. Very few bands have put out three consecutive studio albums that are that strong!
Facts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Ladders and snakes, ladders give, snakes take…” what lyrics! The songs of my youth! Great times! Love you Bon and Angus! 😎
Bon spittin bars like only Bon could! Cheers brother
the 70's and AC/DC what a time.
show me a non sinner and i'll show you a liar.....Malcolm and Angus combined will never be duplicated! nothing but love for these guys
glad you saw the light on where this album ranks, has always been my favourite but then again they are all great.
Band members on this album
Bon Scott - Lead Vocals
Angus Young - Lead Guitar
Malcolm Young - Rhythm Guitar
Cliff Williams - Bass Guitar
Phil Rudd - Drums
These 5 were together from 1977-1980
Sin City is what paved the way for the song later. Highway to hell. Just in a darker feeling.
First song I ever heard from AC/DC. It was a live performance on The Midnight Special. Then they came to my home town Vancouver, Canada and opened for Aerosmith and halfway though Aerosmith's "performance" the crowd was chanting for AC/DC to come back on!
Hahaha that's hilarious!
@@oscillatewildly6553 For real. Aerosmith was kinda fucked up on drugs and we were having a hard time even recognizing some of the songs they were trying to do but AC/DC were friggin' awesome. This was in 1978.
@@blanewilliams5960 Ya',. did the Aerosmith concert in Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens in 1977. Man, they were bad!!!
Then again,. so were we!!!!!
Cheers.
@@jeffhack6839 Cheers! It was worth it for AC/DC in any case.
Forever BON!!!! The 100% voice of Rock´n Roll....
You’re exactly right, Biz. Vegas is called sin city. Our history is that of plentiful opportunities to indulge in what most places have made illegal… and we’re proud of it! 😎
My favourite album, My favourite band. God I love this band... AC⚡DC FOR LIFE ✊😁🇦🇺
You got that right brother
My absolute favorite ac/dc song.crap, forgot about long way to the top( if you wanna rock and roll),bag pipes just rip man
First AC/DC song I ever heard. They had me hooked! Love this song!
The Bassists name is Cliff Williams. This was his first album with them. The previous bass player was named Mark evans. He was ok but nothing compared to Cliff. Cliff gave them that edge. Not technical but a solid player. He is great.
Yes! I would even say Cliff is the original bassist of AC/DC. I know he technically isn't but he has been in the band 46 year! And he just fit in and never left!
I have this album on vinyl from back in the day. Great album
ACDC just fucking rocks.... mercilessly! They're so good it gives you chills.
My favorite Bon song every time cranked up to 11! Has a feel of Bo n driving a broke down Cadillac down the strip! Killer baseline and drums rock out!!!!
@2:21 when they horse trot that riff right into some of the best feel-good Rock-n-Roll grooves ever created. Brilliant lads.
Rich man, poor man, Beggarman, thief are both novels by Irwin Shaw and Fingers Freddy was a british rockabilly musician, pianist and vocalist.
"Women to the left of me, and women ..." is a reference to "The Charge of The Light Brigade". Too many literary references to count in Bon's lyrics, he actually read. Highway to Hell was dumbed down by Johnson. He has fun with these images, never affected. The greatest bar none. Roger Waters reads "Animal Farm" and it becomes a pretentious distraction from an album. No Gollum or evil Orcs for Bon.
BRO!!!! I get so much enjoyment watching you react to the greatest hard rock band ever! I can see it in your eyes and your smile that you really like AC/DC. I love this band.
Love your channel, Biz! Keep up the AC DC reviews. I love Brian Johnson but there was something magical about the Bon Scott era. My favorite album is Highway to Hell
🤘🏿🤘🏿
AC/DC should always be live!
This album is not for the weak. It's dark & broody and REAL! Miss your reactions Bro!!!
Greatest Rock Band ever!!!🙃
When bon Scott died I was 16 years old I was very sad that day Bon is still the best voice I've ever heard and AC DC's my favorite band forever
Same, 16 years old and on that day I was at a Def Leppard concert and they found out just before going on stage, they announced it, they were devastated as they knew them and had just been supporting them.
Terrible night. I will never forget it.
I knew you'd love this album Biz. Wait till you get to HIGHWAY TO HELL next. That album is a banger as well.
Cant wait
as the brits say... banger reaction as always. "well i tied my baby to the railroad tracks...." oh, wait, thats the next song. wait.... for..... it...... your gonna like. maybe more than dirty deeds? soon you will understand why i meself cannot blurt out my favorite. its hard for meself to pic the top five, and i suffer a mental breakdown picking 10 or more "favorite". its a curse and a blessing
You are on my favourite acdc album. So glad you are enjoying it.
Love the channel and your reaction seem sincere.
Keep it going
ac/dc top albums #1 back in black 9.9 rating #2 highway to hell 9.8 rating #3 powerage 9.7 rating all awesome incredible all-time albums
Keep ‘em coming!! What’s Next To The Moon next, please!!!
BIZZ, being the ACDC FREAK FAN that I am, I’m just gonna give ya a huge THANK YOU. You are the only REACTOR TO DO THIS EPIC VOYAGE!! I think I still have a couple of Bonn Scott era songs to catch up on. But I also need to say something else. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with all you so called ACDC FANS out there. To do what Mr. BIZZ has done, and to see only a few hundred likes?? Shame on you!! What BIZZ has Done, NO ONE ELSE HAS!! To me this is EPIC!
Thank you 🙏🏿 very
Another song I would listen to every night on my way home
Biz, you rock brother!
One of my favorite memories of going to Vegas in 2018 was looking out the window of the MGM Park hotel at the plaza below, where they were getting ready for a hockey game against my hometown Tampa Bay Lightning. They were blasting this song and you could hear it for blocks. A great way to warm up the crowd. But it didn't work, the Lightning won.
This song was preformed live on the MIDNIGHT SPECIAL TV Show , Need to also check it out !! AS GREAT PREFORMANCE !!
You're right Bizmatic Las Vegas is the theme here but there is a city in South Africa called Sin City , don't think its about there 😎
Vegas is definitely known as Sin City. Drugs, hookers, gambling, etc. Sin away!
My favourite AC/DC song
Still after all these years this is the song that pops in my head when I think upon and his voice.
Yeah Vegas baby
One of my favorite tunes ever!!!!! Bon’s penmanship really shined in this song and the vocals were spot on and fit his style so well in my humble opinion!!!!! Oh and BizMan don’t stop at 6 albums please. ACDC will help you get to 100,000!!!! Just saying. So says Austin Tx!!!!! 😎🍸
Sounds like a great plan! He's gonna get there because he's determined and he speaks it out loud. I'm a firm believer in manifesting what you desire by speaking it. Btw, I've heard Austin is the place! Another place I gotta experience! Peace!
🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
💙💙💙
@@tammieparrishmiller3669 Come on down!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!! We don’t bill our town as the music capital of the world for nothing!!!!! If you like live music Austin is the place to enjoy it!!!!
@@SWTSU Right on! We plan to travel as soon as my husband retires and Austin is one of the places I'd like to see and enjoy. I even have a couple of old friends who live there. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
Check out the live video of Sin City on The Midnight Special. It was a great music show that ran through the 70s to the early 80s. Think it came on at 1 am. Good weekend
Sin City is also a name for Sydney. But probably referring to Las Vegas in this song.
Las Vegas baby!
Can't wait to see you review the Highway to Hell album, all killer, no filler
John Mutt Lange Their New Producer Worked Hard To Get Bon To Really Sing Not Yell/ Scream Sorta' Plus The Production Budget RECORD.label Finally Got Behind ACDC More So In The USA N. American Market...😅🤔✌
My favorite AC/DC album, it never gets old
When they were on top of their game.
Sin City is Las Vegas which the song is about. Shangri la is a fictional city in Tibet where everything is perfect.
in an old interwiew i read it was dedicated to Hamburg - Reeperbahn redlight district.
Bon Scott, the best Rock & Roll frontman of all time.
This a desert island choice for sure. This album busted my AC-DC cherry!
This was our going out song. Rip Bon
Little piece of trivia, at the time when this was done most people outside of the U.S. considered Paris to be Sin City.
Sin City is usually code for Vegas, but that's a bit flash for AC/DC so I like to think they're singing about Reno.
They don’t miss, another. Banger
Before Vegas was known as Sin City or this song was written there is a City in Massachusetts that has had a saying about it before either of Las Vegas or the song. The City is called Lynn. It goes like this. Lynn,Lynn the city of sin. You never come out the way you came in. But as far as the song goes. It is my all time favorite song..
im amazed it took america 50 years to actually get what acdc are about , lol but im glad you found them lol
Sin City is Las Vegas." I'm gonna win", "diamonds and dust "(desert)
6:53 As a begginner bassist this just brings the tears of joy and happiness in my eyes!😂 Awesome reaction!!!
Thank you
Loved this shit! This was one of their first tunes that really gave the fans a hint of what AC/DC was bringing to the table. They was quick to let people know this wasn’t Donnie Osmond or Leif Garrett. 😂😂😂 They was bad gutter boys
shangra la is an imaginary place where everything is perfect . 🙂 a hotel company uses the name also , for that reason .
im not reading all the comments but I'm pretty sure Angus and Mals older brother George played bass on the recording. it was when Cliff WIlliams was just joining the band
Yep. Las Vegas is the place.
There's probably parts of most cities that could be called sin city. In Sydney Australia at the time it would have been Kings Cross. But I suspect the songs just more about the concept of those extremely decadent party towns or environments.
Wow! I never look up the lyrics.
Always thought it was
"Poor man lust,
Rich man fuss!"
Think that works too?
🤷🏽♂️😆😅😂
Also, it always seemed clear that the song was about
"Viva" Las Vegas
Sun City resort is South Africa's Las Vegas.
AC DC all night long! Check out KIX..awesome rock band from Maryland...if you like AC DC you will love their energy
BizMatik...one can be rich and successful without being greedy , and many who think that all rich and successful people are greedy forget that envy is also a sin. :)
That is a fact.
Love this song!
1. Back in Black, 2. Powerage, 3. Dirty Deeds, 4. Highway To Hell, 5. Let There be Rock, 6. High Voltage. I don't agree but that's my guess.
You are outta the loop your answer is YES.😂😂😂👊🎼🎵🎶♩🎸🎻🎺🎤💖
Met my wife dancing to this song. Next song was 30 days in the hole. Then I went ring shopping!! Asses don't move that way!!
Watch their performance of this on Saturday night special killer
Sun City, is in South Africa, a big fancy hotel casino complex. Sin City bro well thats all over the place I guess.
Great reaction my Bro...But despite low radio play the album Fly On The Wall showcased their last best musicianship recorded...Tight drumming with ripping guitar solos to be hammered to.
My favorite AC/DC album… favorite song, Kicked In The Teeth
One of the most bad ass guitar solo s ever
Biz, you are not silly, just too young!! In the 70s to the 90s Vegas was “Sin City”!!
ShangriLa was a cheesy 1930s movie and also, a cheesy 70s cocktail for the ladies, like a Sea Breeze or an Apple Martini in the 90s.
Like Mezcal or Absinthe today.
Shangri la means heaven or heavenly place btw...you probably know by know though 😊
cliff williams who also playedf in group home
You can see a live version on the Midnight Special
Definition of Shangri-la
1 : a remote beautiful imaginary place where life approaches perfection
What's up Biz your reactions are 100% real and the best that's what I love about you bro so LOL speaking of hookers my first concert I was 14 years old went to an AC/DC concert with my mom in Philly back in the late '70s early '80s I don't remember haha my mom's girlfriend came along for the concert who was 22 years old and definitely treated me too my first BJ it was amazing 🤪😃😎💯 oh and of course my mom didn't know until years later good times good times!!...
😂😂😂🤘🏿🤘🏿 thatz crazy, shes a hero
Anything ACDC is great!
Sin City is a name for. Vegas. Listen to the lyrics back it up
Awesome song .
One word bruh , Powerage
Las Vegas / Atlantic City (NJ) = Sin City ,
Ps I Still ❤️ this album
Hell yes!!
Speaking of shangri-la, Biz, you should check out The Kinks 1969 concept album ARTHUR (OR THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE which contains the greatest ever song about suburbia, "Shangri-La".
I thing it'a refernce to Sun City in South Afrika
Where is Sin city in South Africa?
Sun City (South Africa) - Wikipedia
Sun City is a luxury resort and casino, situated in the North West Province of South Africa.
Yeah. I'm enjoying everything you're doing right now. Just so ya know. 😎
Thanks fam 🙌🏿🙌🏿
AC⚡️DC-TNT
Yo Biz: that’s Cliff Williams on that bass. I read a retrospective of this record, and the band’s original bassist and notorious bad boy, Mark Evans, insists that he played some bass on “Powerage.” The only people who would truly know would be Angus & Malcolm Young.
He might have for some songs but I doubt they used his parts on it. You can clearly hear Cliff. Much more solid and advanced playing than on dirty deeds or LTBR.
Yea 🇵🇷 i was in SIN CITY in San Juan Puerto Rico is Real 👺
Vegas is Sin City, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas baby.
Cliff Williams-best bass guitar tone in the business!
Great song and the basic rif is pretty easy to play on guitar.
sin city is just everything allowed dawg
Vegas baby
Shangri La is paradise
