imagine feeling nervous but taking a risk and heading into that car meet blindly. only to be welcomed by the best panther interviewer on TH-cam. love this well done sir
I got videos on how to replace bulbs, lights, and the grill and I think it’s easier on the Town Car. Anyways good video. Somehow he is right with all he says but thinks her don’t know much about our cars haha
07:30 it's called the driver's door module, it still has the code on it for the keypad, starting in 2006 the code is no longer printed on the DDM, early mostly still have the door code on the trunk hinge. 2002 and older 99% have the code on the trunk hinge, early 03s 75% do, regular 03's 15%, 2004 5%, 2005 2%, 2006+ 0.0005% remember 2003s were a 2 year car coming out in Feb 2002
My 03 is being brought back from the dead, previous owner did not care about the car which just leaves me speechless. Its a tank! I just replaced the intake manifold, full tune up, all brakes and rotors, all 4 tires...still gotta do all rear control arms, all 4 sway bars, differential gasket and fluid, tranny gasket filter and fluid...i even got her some new smoked perde headlights and ddm tuning leds. Having a mechanic come to my house to do all the work helps too. Poor thing, she was left to rot with only 136k miles. Even with all the hell shes been thru she has NEVER left me stranded. As a single mother thats really important to me. Doesnt leak any fluids and tranny shifts great! I knew i could save her. Alot of ppl just shake their heads at me "dumping" money into this car but i just chuckle bc i know she will go for another 100k. ❤ i also have a dashcam in mine as well.
Wow super cool story! Thanks for sharing. Only panther owners will understand that “dumping” money into their panther is really just maintenance because theses cars will and do outlast anything that’s on the road today. My 06 Mercury has 133k and my 08 Lincoln Town Car has 405k miles. I’m ok with “dumping” money into it! Need dash cam in mine 😀
I have the same car, 474,000 miles. This is an early 03, made in 2002. You can see the white X with 3 dots above it on the front of the valve covers(this means this car has metal timing tensioners), early 03s still have an under hood light, they have front seat map pockets under the knee area, they have a clock out side of the radio and lots of other small things.
@@saheed305 usually on an 04 they added leather seat skins to a GS, this would have been done at the dealership..or added leather to an LS using left over leather kits for an 03...

My Ford/Mercury dealer was able to install new LED light bulbs WITHOUT taking anything apart. At least not that I know of.......It only took 20 minutes so I doubt that they had to take anything apart. I recommend upgrading all of your vehicles with LED light bulbs. They did not require new 'fixtures' and the light provided will save you from many close calls. Just sayin'.
I agree. I have videos on the channel of unboxing and install of led bulbs. There’s a lot of good affordable options out there that really level up the lighting from halogen.
@LoveWhatYouDrive nicer paint than mine. It's showing it's age. Easier to change read shocks. There must be some improvements on a newer model. Lower miles.
There's a TH-cam channel called Tony T i think it is he does everything Ford Lincoln Mercury on how to install every option Ford has keypads keyless entry how to install it to much to explain anything and everything that you want to add to your Ford vehicle keyless entry anything and everything every option Ford Lincoln puts in their cars You want to learn how to install heat has a videos on how to install it on TH-cam I've learned so many things on his channel on how to do stuff too my town car and I've saved so much money He knows what he's doing
Oh super cool, I’ll check it out! There’s so much to learn about these cars, especially that their popularity is growing rapidly it seems! Thanks for sharing. If you can drop a link to his channel that would even be more helpful. That’s why I love the panther community, everyone always trying to help one another (sincere panther community)
So cool... Dude just rolls into a Panther car meet-up and lands an interview. Says a lot about the community.

If I didn't have my 96 Impala, I'd love to have a Grand Marquis. Nice car.

He said that he wants to replace the exterior key pad. The code is stamped onto the trunk lid arm.
06 and newer don’t have that option anymore. Now have to go to dealer to get it. My Mercury is 06
