Hey, I just read an article about you using the Yamaha soundcard on DOS, pretty cool! I happen to own one. Now I'm here checking out your music, love it! :D
Aquarius.a2m has a lot of bass, I am playing it on my retro Pentium 133 DOS/Win95, 32mb ram, SB16 CT1740, S3 Trio 64v+ rig with my logitech z623 2.1 speakers with a subwoofer and it sounds good.
When you buy it on bandcamp, does it give you a option to get the raw files? I have a Pentium MMX 233, 48MB Ram, Sounblaster Pro 2.0, Diamond S3 Virge DX (2D Card), and a Diamond 3D Monster (3DFX Voodoo 1 3D Card) id love to play it on.
How do you create all these great sounds? If I am not mistaken, the a2m tracks of yours that come together with AT2 are all 2OP, aren't they? Greetings from Germany and keep up this great work. Thomas.
@@DiodeMilliampere yeah cool!!! I ask because I am writing currently on a Retro DOS game in Quick Basic and I found a free source code of an adlib tracker written in Basic also, called Beni Tracker but it's 2OP only. I achieved some nice results by just combining 2 channels for one instrument and enhancing the code to use OPL3s stereo mode and the additional 4 waveforms but not the real 4OP mode but now I know what's possible with just 2 OPs. Thank you very much!
@@DiodeMilliampere thank you very much. I do understand how to programm the 262 to use 4OP mode, thats not the problem but reprogramming Beni Tracke to utilize all 18 channels and 4OP connections is too much. I'd like to concentrate on my game itself so I wanted to know if your songs use 2OP FM only. That's definitely some good quality. So, thanks to you I know that I can create very cool sounds using 2OP only. Again, thank you very much for this great conversation.
@fr_schmidlin Sorry but I don't fully understand. Do you plug electric sound sources straight into the cochlear implant or what? Why does it sound better?
Still promoting you every chance I can. Thanks for everything. *edit* And if you ever need another Toshiba Libretto, I'll give you mine for a new album. Battery still holds charge. New screen. CF HDD. Not in use, stored... waiting for you. @166... Adlib Tracker II loaded, ext floppy, dock, psu, ps2 mouse/KB adapter, and 2.5 to 3.5 adapter. Just have to have one song names: "It's Okay (if this is it)" Whatever that means to you.
Amazing album
Diode, whenever I'm depressed (or sick), I come to your music, hands down. I want you to know that. Your music is medicine.
still so good
Thank you : )

@Rufus im now using a Aztech AZT2316, has the same OPL chip, it seems to be like that SB Pro but with Windows Sound System support

Yes. All 2op! I made some paper guidebooks. They are on my bandcamp

I can't believe how good your albums sound via a Cochlear Implant! Usually music sounds totally distorted when hearing it via IC.
frschmidlin wow this is probably the best compliment I've ever received thank u so much :)

@@bakatoroi Maybe because fm music is known to be cleaner. Too many subharmonics (mud) in natural music...
this is fascinating and awesome, glad to hear dude!
