I'm wanting to put together a new board and I've been going back and forth for months on an ambient reverb. This one seems to be the most solid and less gimmicky than a few cheaper ones I've seen. I had an RV5 at one point, and this is a serious upgrade.
I have been in love with the dynamic mode on this from day one... very much my “go to”. I also own a digitech polara and digitech supernatural .. they are great, but I use my rv6 much more.
The same. Cheap ones either sound digital and or clip in an unuseable way when given a hot signal. The Hof2 actually turns itself off if you drive it hard! I like the simplicity of the controls. I want to perform and not have yet another learning curve. My only gripe is it doesn't have a hold or infinite sustain.
Thanks Perry, been thinking about this pedal for a while now, have you tried the new Boss one - the RV500? I'm only interested in battery powered pedals for outdoors playing :)
great vid..im new to the pedal world...can you please help me understand in plain English. The guitar connects to the 'input' and the 'output' leads to the amp. That I understand. But what is the purpose of the third cable plugged (upper left) in to the pedal as per your video? thanks
Hi! Compliments!! Great sound! I would like to know how the pedal process the mono dry signal in the input to the stereo outputs? Is the dry signal splitted to both left and right outputs adding reverb on each side?
If im using an audio interface do u plug my guitar into reverb into audio interface into speakers or would i have to plug both my guitar and reverb into the audio interface using two preamps then into my studio monitors? Plz asking for a friend

are some of these effects created with an expression pedal / volume pedal or does the slow fade into the full sound happen from the pedal? I totally want an rv6 after watching this lol
The best setting to emulate the Bigsky is to buy a Bigsky 🤣 Man, it's impossible to have that same sound with this pedal, you can try to emulate it with the shimmer mode but you'll never have that sound.

@@RoccoSaviano secondo me va paragonato all'Hall of Fame 2 che è in quella fascia di prezzo. Tutti e due non sono ideali totalmente per fare ambient, ma per un motivo forse banale, ma pragmatico, non hanno il 100% wet.
I actually have the rv-6 but I use it for my synthesizers I initially got it exclusively for the shimmer reverb but I found that the mod reverb works beautifully well too..🎹🎛️🎧👌

@@doodmikey Actually if it’s a stereo pedal (2 outputs) you can run it into 2 preamps in your audio interface. Whichever suits you.

No man, you can't have a full wet sound with the RV6, the swells you hear are created with the volume knob of the guitar.
