I can't thank you enough for this series on how to make a veil. It was very easy to follow, and helped me make a beautiful veil for a young lady that my family has come to know as a daughter. It really meant a lot to her that I was making her veil, and I am so proud of how it turned out. Thank you for helping create a new family heirloom!

How wonderful of you to make the veil! I'm very glad the videos helped. And congratulations to the young lady.

Thank you very much for the Making a Bridal Veil Series that you have on TH-cam. I am making dresses for American Girl dolls and will use your instructions for the doll's veil also. You do such a good job of explaining and demonstrating all the steps of making the veil. The samples of attaching beads and trims is also very interesting and well shown. Thank you again. Glad I could help, Rebecca! That's what's great about the tulle being so inexpensive...you can try different things until you get exactly what you want.

This is very helpful. Thank you. I dont want a blusher though. I might add some embelishments to the comb piece. I dont know yet. Gotta do some experimenting. :)

Errr but what if there is no blusher , and wide lace all around :S

Cynthia, you could cut the tulle in a half-oval or half-circle shape, use lace only on the curved edges, and attach the comb to the straight edge.

Im not sure I follow! I bougt a 3m long veil, it is spanish style with a large lace all around. No cutting involved on my part! Hehe! Would i scrunch anything up? Do I new the comb onto the lace(closest to the tulle or on the complete outer edge of the lace...dont this the later would be nice thats for sure)

Cynthia Olivier I understand now (thought you were making it "from scratch.") It depends on how you want to wear it. A lot of people attach it with a hatpin (straight pin with an ornamental head) instead of a comb...then you position it so the lace frames your face. You could also fold the veil in half and attach a comb at the folded center, which would make it like a 2-tier veil and the lace would be at the "bottom" of the veil instead of around your face.

I'm also gonna make my own dress. Or at least design it and get someone else to do the actual sewing.
