According to the Disney Channel Wiki, it's one of six along with Lights Candace Action, The Lizard Whisperer, Phineas' Birthday Clip O Rama, and Mommy Can You Here Me
Also the original roller coaster episode is (if I remember correctly) the only one where one of Doof inventions doesn't have the suffix "-inator" in it (aside from the "-not-inator" one)
@@jlr1357 And Phineas' voice is different, too. Because it was a pilot episode, they changed the actor's instruction because people found his original voice too high and shrill.
“How are they gonna get rid of all this before Mom shows up?” is a ridiculous question that gets a new ridiculous answer in every episode. Welcome to the P&F formula. There’s punch and cookies by the door.
You are so right every episode they manage to make the disappearing before Mom sees it ridiculous. This means there is probably a compilation of it all somewhere that Mathew should react to to experience the full majestic absurdity.
Even they notice how odd it is, one episode they make a machine that splits Candice's personality in half (trust me context helps) and they agree that if it does not just vanish they need to destroy it.
"They just luck their way through life, don't they?" Actually, yes. The show acknowledges that Phineas and Ferb are canonically surrounded by good luck.
To answer the question about parents never noticing what boys are doing: putting aside the running gag angle, Laurence does know and has contributed to their inventions in some episodes, he just tells them to be careful and writes it off as everyone else - them just expressing themselves in a creative way. As for Linda, it's never officially confirmed, but her VA does think that she knows and just pretends she doesn't
actualy linda didn't know as we saw them go to the future and the mom from the future was actually sorry that she hadn't believed Candance and how that mst have made Candace feel.

Phineas and Ferb is very self-ware and kinda meta. Its like, their whole thing. So if you ask "How can they do this?" the answer, in this case, is because thats what Musicals do (at least on TV).
It follows in the Looney Tunes and Animaniacs formula. There are a set of characters that do a certain situation but at the end of the day it all gets undone until the next cartoon happens to do it all over again. It also features off the walls pop culture and meta references and humor. 23:57 in a nutshell, basically.
The fun thing about "Carpe diem" is that the characters that appear in it are all the characters that appeared in the show up to this point! Thats why it looks so random to an outsider, but when you watched every episode you get every reference to the past adventures of the gang, its really heartwarming if you think about it
In regards to the question about the dancers, Doof does hire them. In another episode, he was kidnapped by another villain and held in a lair in Seattle. When he wanted to do a musical number, the dancers showed up in the villain's lair and did it all there. The villain wondered how they got there, and Doof's response was: "They're union, they travel."
Phineas and Ferb have never tried hiding anything from their parents. Their dad even knows about a lot of it, he gets involved in a few episodes. It's just that the will of the universe decrees that their mother can never see what they make. That's not even a joke, that's a real thing. Doesn't matter what it is, something will.always take it away before their mother sees it. The boys would be excited to show their mother if she ever saw it, but the universe says no.
The two Candace lookalikes were Candace from two different futures. I can't believe you noticed that and I didn't until you mentioned it. But you'd have to watch another episode to understand the context behind the two older Candaces.
I was actually re-watching this episode for like the 20th time a few months ago with my brother and then i noticed that and was like, “Hunter! Look! It’s future Candace from that one epiosde!” But then that had me questioning my life.
You should watch the other Phineas and Ferb special Summer Belongs to You, it's also somewhat of a musical and is about them trying to go around the world in one day and it's one of the best episodes of the series.
Exactly! She reminds me SO MUCH of Membrane from Invader Zim. He always says to Dib that Zim isn’t an alien and that he believes that him and Zim are friends and stuff like that. And Linda has NEVER seen Phineas and Ferbs inventions, and thinks they’re just imagining it, and Membrane thinks Dib is crazy. See my point?
Matthew really just needs to binge the whole franchise, cuz like a sht ton of his questions could be answered from them... And an even bigger sht ton of questions will spawn from it😂😂
That would also subject him to more of the INEXPLICABLE GIANT FLOATING BABY HEAD! *thunder and lightning* causing him to lose his sanity more. This needs to happen
To be fair, Candace's hell is self-inflicted. Her brothers never hide anything, and no one gets hurt, and everyone, including her friends, has fun. And whenever she DOESN'T try and bust them and just goes with it, she always has a great time. She actively sabotages herself by trying her hardest to stop it rather than having fun.
This was actually a major plot point in the series finale where Candice and Doofenshmirtz accidentally almost ended the universe by starting a time loop until Candice learns to let it go and have fun with Phineas and Ferb
The only episode where one of their inventions actually causes destruction is the one where Candace is actively dreaming of the day she finally busts them. Even there she admits she’d miss them if they were gone and would hate if they stopped.
To be fair, Doofs original goal was to rule the world, but after he went on a date with Phineas and Ferbs mom he decided to “start small, like with the try state area”. If you want answers to how doof and pnfs mom dated, watch “what do it do”. And yes, Charleen (doofs ex) is extremely loaded 😂
No Doof says that all the money Charleen is shown with (I’m pretty sure The episode I’m talking abt is this one) his money. He says “that’s my money she’s throwing away!” Edit: okay I just checked that wasn’t the episode but I’m pretty sure most the money Charleen has is Doof’s bc of that line
As a huge Phineas and Ferb fan, it is one hell of an experience to see someone who knows nothing about the show watch an episode that I know every line of for the first time
As a huge Phineas and Ferb fan, can you tell me why Perry is casually dancing on a stage with his host family as a secret agent? Because he’d need to be taken away or their memories would need to be wiped if they’d seen him…so why?
@@TokoFukawasWife So, the Carpe Diem song was meant to break the 4th wall. The characters are literally singing to us, the audience. So all of the characters gathered together and went out of character for the song
In regards to the 2 people watching from behind the car when they leave the store, they are both Candace, from when there was time travel shenanigans. And the end ensemble cast are people/references to past episodes.
The whole ending number is probably just non canon because everyone is there which wouldn't make sense since Major Monogram (MM) and the parents are pretty much never involved in Phineas and Ferb's inventions, and if Perry is seen as Agent P and if the Flynn-Fletcher's (Phineas and Ferb's family) find out, Perry will be reassigned to a different host family
Also, there were multiple O.W.C.A. agents and their respective villains, characters that can't be in the same place without fighting like Meap and Mitch, and also various characters that don't fit in the timeline like Jekyll Doofenshmirtz, pinhead Pierre, and Doofenshmirtz and his family when they were younger and in Drusselstein, and all the members of Love Handel but YEARS younger than what they actually are in the show.
personally I like to believe that the show and story are in and of themselves a Big Idea that the boys had. all the musical numbers and strange occurrences and evil scientists are planned. this isn't like an "it was all fake" theory, I think they are the little genius guys who make the big things, but they're also documenting it in the same way they did in out of toon
For note. The joke is entirely that Linda is oblivious to their actions. They will often just say what they did "wow sounds great honey" To the point that's its the formula for every episode
6:07, she’s that predictable. It’s actually a plot point in one episode that she tries to be less like herself because she thinks she’s become so predictable she’s boring
If you are interested, there is also an episode where phineas, ferb and candace try to figure out where everything the boys build disappear to. And an episode about the boy actually getting busted, the parents freaking out and sending them to a correction camp, losing all their creativity. But otherwise the parents just don't take them seriously when they say what they build
Apparently that last number must've been a celebration of the show so far because all those random people that look crazy, they appear in different episodes
This show is incredibly formulaic. Virtually every episode begins with Phineas and Ferb under the tree, Phineas says I know what we're gonna do today, Linda leaves to do something or is otherwise occupied, Perry sneaks off to his underground lair and gets a mission from Major Monogram about stopping Doofenshmirtz, someone says "where's Perry?", Doofenshmirtz creates an "inator" to take over the tri-state area, explains some aspect of his tragic backstory, gets foiled by Perry or his own incompetence, and says "curse you Perry the Platapus", Doofenshmirts also always fails to recognize Perry if he ever takes off his hat, Isabella comes over and says "whatcha doin'?", Phineas often gets asked "arent you a little young to be ____?" to which he replies "Yes, yes I am", Cadance attempts and fails to call attention to whatever her brother's have done, some combination of Doofensmirtz, the universe, and random people that want whatever the boys have made manage to clear away everything the boys have done seconds before Candice can bust them for it, Perry comes back and someone says "Oh, there you are Perry", and Ferb typically has one line of spoken dialogue at some point, and there's usually a song at some point in the episode. They sometimes play around with the formula and do some clever things with it, but at least 95% of episodes follow this exact formula.
23:29 That's foreshadowing another episode where Candace travels through time to bust Phineas and Ferb. I can't remember what the episode is called, but if you watch it, it'll make more sense.
When Candace says that she's in charge conditionally, Phineas asks if the condition has anything to do with a mousse, like the hair conditioner. It took me forever to get that joke, and to this day is one of my favorite all time puns.
8:07 funny you mention a death ray. They did build one by accident (their blueprints got mixed with doof’s) they had wanted to make an ice cream machine
23:30 watch Phineas and Ferb Quantum Boogaloo for the answer to that, also it was a mistake because it was meant for the original Rollercoaster episode not this one
At 23:30, those 2 girls in the background are both Candace's from the future. In one episode Phineas and Ferb fix a time machine and visit the future. Future Candance goes back to the first day of summer (the pilot episode) and successfully busts Phineas and Ferb by showing Linda the rollercoaster. Then she realizes in the future that the future is awful because A) Children are put in storage until they're adults. and B) Doofenschmirtz is Emperor of the world, and everyone is named Joe and wears the same outfit as Doofenschmirtz. So she goes back again and stops herself. The reason they both show up here, is because they're literally doing the first episode again, but as a musical. As such, it means Future Candace once again comes back and busts Phineas and Ferb, and then comes back a second time and stops herself again, all in musical form for this episode. However, that is never shown on screen. It's just implied.
Fun fact: in the show they are canonically incredibly lucky This was proven in one of Dan Povenmire's other shows Milo Murphy's Law following a kid with an effect that makes it so everything wrong that can happen will happen and it's confirmed that they have an effect that's basically the exact opposite making it so everything good that can happen will happen
23:29 with the 2 candaces is a reference to a timeline where future Candace goes back in time to get mom to see the roller coaster, causing a butterfly effect to a bad timeline and that bad timeline Candace went back in time to stop future candace from getting mom to see the roller coaster i never noticed that easter egg before though!
Mathew there are two things you need to do and know when watching Phineas and Ferb; "1: Turn off logic because it does not apply when it comes to Phineas and Ferb's adventures" and "2: Phineas and Ferb are oblivious they are making Candace look like she is crazy" P.S: Watch the show from the start to get the full context
Just a quick clarifier: Phineas and Ferb are never out to torture Candace. They build things for their own amusement or for the amusement of their friends. Candace usually just gets dragged into it by accident or through her own actions. Sometimes also indirectly through the actions of Perry and Doofenshmirtz. But the important thing is that Phineas and Ferb most definitely don't torture Candace for fun. One of the things she sings about in the song (lava flow destroyed my face) was even done for her... (Context: As a birthday present for Candace, Phineas and Ferb made the family go visit Mt. Rushmore and while there, they carved Candace's head into the mountain together with the presidents. And Candace actually loved it. The lava flow happened as a consequence of Perry and Doofenshmirtz's fight in that episode and it returned the Mt. Rushmore back to its original appearance before mom could see it)
23:28, a few episodes prior to this one Candace goes back in time to get her brothers busted, only to return to a tri state area ruled by Doof. She then goes back to stop her other self from trying to bust her brothers, hence, the two Candaces in the background. Noticed that the last time I watch this episode and I love the attention to detail.
Phineas and Ferb don't intentionally try to hide their inventions from their mom. They even tell her what they did in some episodes but she just thinks it's their imagination.
23:32 reference to the episode were candance time travel back to the rolercoster episode to make her mom see it, but then she comes back to her time to find everything is horrible and decides to go back to when she got back to stop herself from changing the past and then they wach the normal course of events happen from behaind a car?
23:29 Oh my god, they actually put that in the episode. For those unaware: that's two versions of future Candace. One here to make their mom see the boys, the other here to stop the original future Candace.
"You know what I love about our friends? We say stuff like "We're gonna douse you in ant pheromones!" and they're like "Okay, whatever!" They're so cool." -Actual Phineas Quote
The reason why at 23:33 you see those two people in the background is cuz it's setting up another episode. It's a time travel episode. If you do wanna watch it it's called Quantum Boogaloo
You were too busy picking holes to notice the “crepe Suzette” joke! Crepe Suzette is a type of food and they offered a crepe to Suzette, making a pun on the food !
As far as them lucking their way through life, that is actually a plot point in the spin off show Milo Murphey’s Law. That they generate a field where everything goes right for them.
I guess this confirms that the Giant Floating Baby Head is your sleep paralysis demon! 😂The cowboy part in the Hey Ferb song is a reference to the musical Oklahoma! The musical is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore of what was then Indian Territory in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. The musical made its Broadway debut in 1943 and was revived several times in in 1951, 1979, 2002, and 2019! Candace's voice actress is Ashley Tisdale who has quite the singing experience, so it makes sense her character's songs are bangers! Isabella's voice actress Alyson Stoner is also a singer! And the engineer singing in the Aren't You a Little Young? song is the co-creator himself Dan Povenmire! That's his normal voice! He's also the voice of Doofenshmirtz!
23:32 those are candaces from the future who are trying to bust phineas and ferb by using a time machine to come to the past and bust phineas and ferb. there is an whole 20 min episode focused on this
Yeah you got the Thing of Candace. She wants to bust her brothers by showing their parents what they make because she thinks that will affect something. That's her whole thing
In the original rollercoaster episode Phineas actually says to Ferb " We should have charged more." So yes they did make money off of the rollercoaster and according to Dan they invested their money wisely to be able to fund all of their summer adventures 😃
Here's some moose facts: Alces alces is called a "moose" in North American English, but an "elk" in British English. The word "elk" in North American English refers to a completely different species of deer, Cervus canadensis, also called the wapiti. Moose are the largest of all the deer species. Males are immediately recognizable by their huge antlers, which can spread 6 feet from end to end. Moose are so tall that they prefer to browse higher grasses and shrubs because lowering their heads to ground level can be difficult. In winter they eat shrubs and pinecones, but they also scrape snow with their large hooves to clear areas for browsing on mosses and lichens. And here's some snake facts: There are more than 3,000 species of snakes on the planet and they’re found everywhere except in Antarctica, Iceland, Ireland, Greenland, and NZ About 600 species are venomous, but only about 200, seven percent, are able to kill or significantly wound a human. Despite not having any limbs snakes can move surprisingly fast. The fastest snake in North America is the coachwhip species that can slither at speeds of up to 3.6 miles per hour. The fastest snake in the world is the black mamba which has been recorded at 12.5 miles per hour. Snake scales serve different purposes for different species. For most snakes, the scales help them retain moisture in the body. In other cases, the scales help with grip and reduce friction
Busting is the Roadrunner to Candace's Coyote... It's somewhat canon that there's a Mysterious Force that prevents Phineas & Ferb's "bustable" actions. Candace came up with this idea.
Phineas and Ferb are surrounded by good luck which is quite the opposite for Milo Murphy's law U should watch it sometime The main characters in the movie are just surrounded by bad luck and the two shows are actually in the same dimension and some characters have met each other
I see a lot of comments already about how episodes show the mom doesnt know - P&F actually tell her what they are doing, and she thinks it a toy version or imaginary (and dad actually thinks the boys have mom's permission because of miscommunication). I did want to add that P&F try to help Candace show their mom what they made when Candace asks, and they go out of their way to try and do nice things for her. They are just completely clueless to the fact that the stuff they do is what upsets her, or that their mom would be unhappy, because they dont think its dangerous. They just wanna say at the end of summer that their time wasnt wasted :)
It’s funny you say that about Doof not aiming higher, but it was on his date with Phineas’ mom in the 80s where he joked about taking over the world - and Linda told him to aim for something more realistic as a stepping stone - like the tri-state area XD
I dont know if anyone noticed but in 23:22 you can see future candice in the background before she creates(accidentally) the dystopian world where doof is the overlord.
To answer you about if the parent know or not, Lawrence is sometimes aware of what they're doing but is seemingly unaware 90% of the time and Linda is completely unaware of what they're doing because Doof (most of the time, occasionally it's other things) always accidentally make the invention disappear before Linda sees it. Why Lawrence doesn't tell Linda that Candace isn't making things up though I'm not sure. He's definitely seen enough of their inventions to be able to back up Candace and just doesn't and instead lets Linda believe their daughter is a liar
Phineas and Ferb was a legendary show. Me and my sister loved watching it more then anything together. (It was that and Gravity falls, invader zim, pokemon, and the amazing world of gumball.), and I will always cherish those memories. Those were the absolute best.
The dad knows and has partaken in some of their adventures its mom that never really sees there is one episode where she catches them tho Edit: they do tell their mother all the time what theyre doing/ going to do she just plays it off
23:27 I never noticed this on first watch but that's Candace from the future trying to un bust her brothers and it's a reference to this episode: "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo" The dedication the creators must have to put that in.
It's likely willful ignorance from the mother. In one episode there's mention in passing that Phineas and Ferb have seats on the city council, to which the mother is surprised, though given the context of the rest of the episode that may or may not actually be the case.
Every episode? I certainly didn't remember that. I thought it was like that old green-striped swimsuit with a face that appears randomly in some episodes.
Not EVERY episode, but it CAN be seen in the background in a lot. The episode it played the most part in was “one good scare ought do it!” Bc it has actual scenes were its displayed in the actual scene and very clear. In other episodes it can be seen. It can be seen in the episode “Happy birthday, Isabella” when Phineas and Ferb were getting stuff for Isabella’s you can see Phineas and Ferb in the background carrying it. In the episode “Night of the living Pharmacist, part 2 (or 1)” you can see it in the background turning into a Doof head Zombie. Another scene you can see it displayed in the background is actually in the first ever movie, “Phineas and Ferb: Arcoss the second dimension.” When they’re switching between dimensions, there’s a giant Floating Baby head dimension which it more then likely came from. I’m pretty sure it can also be seen in the background of “Monster from the ID” but I’m not sure.
IDK why, but my favourite episodes from this show (that I definitely recommend) are the wizard of oz one, the indiana jones one (where candace is actually just a reporter, mom is her boss, Phineas is an archeologist Candace tries to write an article about, yet fails to gain any photo evidence, and Perry is still an agent, but instead of a fedora wears a fez), and the medieval one which was just Carl reading a book to Mayor Monogram while he's sick in bed (Perry's a miniature dragon, Baljeet is an elf etc.).
@@Gamer-xy9rf Star Wars is a special episode, longer than normal ones... And it's not even that high on my list of special episodes. It's actually pretty low... close but not at the bottom actually... not a star wars fan, but I enjoy references, and the fact there's an actual hidden message in one of star wars written languages (which I don't know the name of) star wars falls under the same category as the night of the living pharmacists (which is on the top of my special episode list)
5:57 Now Matthew, this is usually when someone would call you out on not remembering the whole "It's the other episode but now a musical" thing, but ACTUALLY, your confusion is justified this time because in the original rollercoaster episode, the condition is a satalite falling from orbit onto the house, so Phineas' line actually makes less sense if you watched that episode
Somehow I didn't notice the adult Candaces in the background of the outside the supermarket scene, went "oh yes I remember that" then backtracked because those time traveling characters went to the actual first day of summer with the regular coaster not the musical coaster in this episode.
I lose it laughing when Doofenshmirtz starts singing like a heavy mental song. And meanwhile Perry’s reaction is like. Heinz. Why?! It kills me in laughter every single time! 🤭😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 14:33 to 15:05
Seriously, you gotta watch the whole show. It will add so much context, plus the Inexplicable Giant Floating Babyhead is only in about 5% of the episodes.
13:26 to clear up the confusion, the reason why he's asking if he's too young is because that is a running joke on the show whenever an adult sees Phineas and Ferb doing something crazy Adult: "aren't you a little young to be [insert example here]?" Phineas: "yes. Yes we are" And the adults usually just take that as an answer and leave them alone. And 23:26 are future Cadence's from alternate timelines. In the time travel episode they went back in time to the first day of summer and the roller coaster episode, so them being there was an Easter egg from that episode And 24:22 is their alien friend Meep from another episode
I have some Phineas and Ferb song suggestions: City of Love, Snuck Your Way Right Into my Heart, Big Honkin Hole in my heart, and Tatooine. City of love is Isabella singing to Phineas in Paris. Snuck your way right into my heart is the song that the band love handel (the band they are getting back together) sings for phineas and ferbs mom and dad’s anniversary. Tatooine is an amazing opening song to the Star Wars cross over.

About to say isn't it cannon from Milos that Phineas and Ferb are conduits for pure good/good luck energy to counteract Milos bad energy?

@@minecraftingmom wasn't that in a different dimension
The two Candace lookalikes were Candace from two different futures.
I can't believe you noticed that and I didn't until you mentioned it.
But you'd have to watch another episode to understand the context behind the two older Candaces.
The Quantum Boogaloo Episode to be Exact.
Omg same i didn't notice till he said something
I was actually re-watching this episode for like the 20th time a few months ago with my brother and then i noticed that and was like, “Hunter! Look! It’s future Candace from that one epiosde!” But then that had me questioning my life.
To be fair, it's only an animation issue. They're supposed to be around only in the first rollercoaster episode, so you probably just ignored it.
I have never noticed it until he pointed it out in this video. I had to pause like wait, wait is that for real
You should watch the other Phineas and Ferb special Summer Belongs to You, it's also somewhat of a musical and is about them trying to go around the world in one day and it's one of the best episodes of the series.
Yes he absolutely should! It’s such a good episode!
I wish I could like his a ton to boost it. I really want him to react to that.
And he should watch let’s get the band back together
It's like Around the World in 80 days, but it's Phineas and Ferb with Clay Aiken and Chaka Khan.
it would be great if he watches a few Phineas and Ferb episodes first to get used to the formula before watching the special 💕
Phineas and ferb actually do tell their mom the studf they do sometimes and shes like "you guys have such great imaginations"
@@TokoFukawasWife Now I want a crossover fanfiction story where Dib and Candace meet and team up.
Matthew really just needs to binge the whole franchise, cuz like a sht ton of his questions could be answered from them... And an even bigger sht ton of questions will spawn from it😂😂

@@wheresthecomedy5808 what epiosde was that? or was it one of the mini movies
@@suzie.bingham It's "Last Day of Summer" from season 4

@@G.Lonnietechnically that was perrys dream
To be fair, Doofs original goal was to rule the world, but after he went on a date with Phineas and Ferbs mom he decided to “start small, like with the try state area”. If you want answers to how doof and pnfs mom dated, watch “what do it do”. And yes, Charleen (doofs ex) is extremely loaded 😂
And doof made the device that help either corrects eyesight or help make the percription and gets checks for it
No Doof says that all the money Charleen is shown with (I’m pretty sure The episode I’m talking abt is this one) his money.
I'm a massive PnF fanatic and I agree
@@TokoFukawasWife So, the Carpe Diem song was meant to break the 4th wall. The characters are literally singing to us, the audience. So all of the characters gathered together and went out of character for the song
In regards to the 2 people watching from behind the car when they leave the store, they are both Candace, from when there was time travel shenanigans. And the end ensemble cast are people/references to past episodes.
Now i wonder, did they actually go to the second roller-coaster and not the first?
I would think so but at this point in the show doof is a incompetent bufoon comparef to his earlier incarnation😊
Agreed, it was more of a good old curtain call fanservise showcase
I’ve been thinking about this for so long, at least someone else pointed it out
For note. The joke is entirely that Linda is oblivious to their actions. They will often just say what they did
"wow sounds great honey"
To the point that's its the formula for every episode
And Phineas inherited that obliviousness hence not noticing Isabella's crush on him
6:07, she’s that predictable.
They weren’t actually busted in that episode
@@DifferentReader well no, but saying "but it was actually a dream inside of another dream" sounds weird

Apparently that last number must've been a celebration of the show so far because all those random people that look crazy, they appear in different episodes
The fact that the kids do actually tell their mother what they do, she usually just responds with “that’s nice boys”
@@erikbihari3625 most likely.
The Quantum Boogaloo
When Candace says that she's in charge conditionally, Phineas asks if the condition has anything to do with a mousse, like the hair conditioner. It took me forever to get that joke, and to this day is one of my favorite all time puns.
23:27 Without spoilers, it's connected to a big episode.
Good old time travel shenanigans.
In fact, he has to watch it because he thinks their mom is just being cruel to Candace, when she tries to bust them
Music can determine how much I like an episode and this is one of my favorites
8:07 funny you mention a death ray. They did build one by accident (their blueprints got mixed with doof’s) they had wanted to make an ice cream machine
23:30 watch Phineas and Ferb Quantum Boogaloo for the answer to that, also it was a mistake because it was meant for the original Rollercoaster episode not this one
25:01 They do, she assumes they mean something else or it happened in thier imagination
Fun fact: in the show they are canonically incredibly lucky
This was proven in one of Dan Povenmire's other shows Milo Murphy's Law following a kid with an effect that makes it so everything wrong that can happen will happen and it's confirmed that they have an effect that's basically the exact opposite making it so everything good that can happen will happen
23:29 with the 2 candaces is a reference to a timeline where future Candace goes back in time to get mom to see the roller coaster, causing a butterfly effect to a bad timeline and that bad timeline Candace went back in time to stop future candace from getting mom to see the roller coaster
i never noticed that easter egg before though!
Mathew there are two things you need to do and know when watching Phineas and Ferb; "1: Turn off logic because it does not apply when it comes to Phineas and Ferb's adventures" and "2: Phineas and Ferb are oblivious they are making Candace look like she is crazy"
P.S: Watch the show from the start to get the full context
23:30 HOLY SH*T! That is the best damn Easter egg and you don't even realize it! Thank you for noticing that, it makes this episode 100x better😂
Two keys to P&F:
There are non-canon parts where everyone is actors.
In canon, the boys believe they have permission for everything
Rushmore back to its original appearance before mom could see it)
Really thank you very much for saying it
"he just threw the guitar"
You'd be surprised what falls of the sky in Danville.
21:06, actually the Rollercoaster itself ends up nearly falling on Melissa Chase in the spin-off Milo Murphy’s Law
23:32 reference to the episode were candance time travel back to the rolercoster episode to make her mom see it, but then she comes back to her time to find everything is horrible and decides to go back to when she got back to stop herself from changing the past and then they wach the normal course of events happen from behaind a car?
According to one of "Where's Pinky," the Tri-state Area just has a history of spontaneous musical numbers.
The kids DO tell their mom what they do, she just thinks it's make-believe.
23:29
Oh my god, they actually put that in the episode.
For those unaware: that's two versions of future Candace. One here to make their mom see the boys, the other here to stop the original future Candace.
27:46 They're bringing everyone in because it's a special episode grand Finale
23:29 IN ALL MY YEARS OF WATCHING PHINEAS AND FERB I'VE NEVER NOTICED THIS OMFG!!!!!!!
“Well I guess people have never been tortured not against their will” Oh Matthew. So innocent. So naive
23:30
Omg i have never noticed the two furture candaces before what ?!
23:32 those are candaces from the future who are trying to bust phineas and ferb by using a time machine to come to the past and bust phineas and ferb. there is an whole 20 min episode focused on this

LMAO
23:26 oh wow, I don't think I ever noticed that they appear in the musical too lol
Sometimes the boys do tell the mom what they did, and the mom is like "wow you boys have such a great imagination" and then walks away.
23:29 Thats actually an easter egg from a different episode. Future Candace gets a time machine and goes back to bust her brothers
Watch Quantum Boogaloo next! It’ll give you answers on what happens if she does see it. It also gives you answers on who those people are.
Yeah you got the Thing of Candace. She wants to bust her brothers by showing their parents what they make because she thinks that will affect something. That's her whole thing
23:28 OH MY GOD I NEVER NOTICED THEY INSERTED THOSE TWO IN THE BACKGROUND OF THIS EPISODE

20:56
"What do you think, a perfectly good electric guitar is just gonna fall out of the sky?"
😂 My favorite running gag!
In the original rollercoaster episode Phineas actually says to Ferb " We should have charged more." So yes they did make money off of the rollercoaster and according to Dan they invested their money wisely to be able to fund all of their summer adventures 😃
I love how most of the questions he asked can be answered with "it's a musical"
8:57 idk why, this is my second favrioute and the song at 11:21 is the best one
Why random moose facts?
Busting is the Roadrunner to Candace's Coyote...
It's somewhat canon that there's a Mysterious Force that prevents Phineas & Ferb's "bustable" actions. Candace came up with this idea.
23:28 They were there in the episode?! I never knew that until now, that’s so cool!!!
23:27 That moment when you spot casual time travelers in the background and you have no context, hahahaha!!!
Phineas and Ferb are surrounded by good luck which is quite the opposite for Milo Murphy's law
U should watch it sometime
The main characters in the movie are just surrounded by bad luck and the two shows are actually in the same dimension and some characters have met each other
I see a lot of comments already about how episodes show the mom doesnt know - P&F actually tell her what they are doing, and she thinks it a toy version or imaginary (and dad actually thinks the boys have mom's permission because of miscommunication).
24:59, they do but Linda thinks it’s just make-believe
It’s funny you say that about Doof not aiming higher, but it was on his date with Phineas’ mom in the 80s where he joked about taking over the world - and Linda told him to aim for something more realistic as a stepping stone - like the tri-state area XD
I dont know if anyone noticed but in 23:22 you can see future candice in the background before she creates(accidentally) the dystopian world where doof is the overlord.
Was that episode before or after this
To answer you about if the parent know or not, Lawrence is sometimes aware of what they're doing but is seemingly unaware 90% of the time and Linda is completely unaware of what they're doing because Doof (most of the time, occasionally it's other things) always accidentally make the invention disappear before Linda sees it. Why Lawrence doesn't tell Linda that Candace isn't making things up though I'm not sure. He's definitely seen enough of their inventions to be able to back up Candace and just doesn't and instead lets Linda believe their daughter is a liar
Phineas and Ferb songs are certified classics imo
Love seeing your reaction to em❤
Phineas and Ferb was a legendary show. Me and my sister loved watching it more then anything together. (It was that and Gravity falls, invader zim, pokemon, and the amazing world of gumball.), and I will always cherish those memories. Those were the absolute best.
The dad knows and has partaken in some of their adventures its mom that never really sees there is one episode where she catches them tho
Edit: they do tell their mother all the time what theyre doing/ going to do she just plays it off
23:27 I never noticed this on first watch but that's Candace from the future trying to un bust her brothers and it's a reference to this episode: "Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo"
The dedication the creators must have to put that in.
It's likely willful ignorance from the mother. In one episode there's mention in passing that Phineas and Ferb have seats on the city council, to which the mother is surprised, though given the context of the rest of the episode that may or may not actually be the case.
Fun fact: The Giant Floating Baby Head™ is in just about every single episode of Phineas and Ferb! :D
Every episode? I certainly didn't remember that. I thought it was like that old green-striped swimsuit with a face that appears randomly in some episodes.
It cursed us all
Not EVERY episode, but it CAN be seen in the background in a lot.
Don't forget the Star Wars one.
@@Gamer-xy9rf Star Wars is a special episode, longer than normal ones... And it's not even that high on my list of special episodes. It's actually pretty low... close but not at the bottom actually... not a star wars fan, but I enjoy references, and the fact there's an actual hidden message in one of star wars written languages (which I don't know the name of)
star wars falls under the same category as the night of the living pharmacists (which is on the top of my special episode list)
opinion on tri stone area/doof dynasty?
In the original (non-musical) version of the episode, when the ride rounds the first hill, Phineas asks “you all signed the waivers, right?”
Explanation for the 2 candaces is revealed in an earlier episode when Phineas and Ferb get busted and basically earth gets destroyed
Matthew..... the baby head shows up in almost every single episode you cant escape it
5:57 Now Matthew, this is usually when someone would call you out on not remembering the whole "It's the other episode but now a musical" thing, but ACTUALLY, your confusion is justified this time because in the original rollercoaster episode, the condition is a satalite falling from orbit onto the house, so Phineas' line actually makes less sense if you watched that episode
"Summer belongs to you" is another great episode (my favorite), with many songs. You should react too.
3:49 Danville is known for its spontaneous musical numbers.
14:33 to 15:05
Seriously, you gotta watch the whole show. It will add so much context, plus the Inexplicable Giant Floating Babyhead is only in about 5% of the episodes.
There is an episode of PnF where it’s kinda like a what if episode where the mom does see one of the creations and what happened when she saw it
13:26 to clear up the confusion, the reason why he's asking if he's too young is because that is a running joke on the show whenever an adult sees Phineas and Ferb doing something crazy
Adult: "aren't you a little young to be [insert example here]?"
Phineas: "yes. Yes we are"
And the adults usually just take that as an answer and leave them alone.
And 23:26 are future Cadence's from alternate timelines. In the time travel episode they went back in time to the first day of summer and the roller coaster episode, so them being there was an Easter egg from that episode
And 24:22 is their alien friend Meep from another episode
I have some Phineas and Ferb song suggestions: City of Love, Snuck Your Way Right Into my Heart, Big Honkin Hole in my heart, and Tatooine. City of love is Isabella singing to Phineas in Paris. Snuck your way right into my heart is the song that the band love handel (the band they are getting back together) sings for phineas and ferbs mom and dad’s anniversary. Tatooine is an amazing opening song to the Star Wars cross over.
23:31 those are adult versions of Candace from the time travel episode how did I never notice them here 😂
We have seen it from their perspective too
0:16, you did it was “Mom, look”.
