- In this video I show you how to change out your satellite radio module to fix a no audio issue. I perform the work on my 2008 BMW 335i. It is an E90 but I ended up using a module from an early E60 and it worked and saved me a lot of money.

Do you have a satellite radio or no? My car seemed to have the satellite snatched out of and i have no sound even with the loop
@@ThatBlue92 i did not do the loop. i purchased the system as advised in the video and it works perfectly. I did buy a new one from BMW. The hook up was easy, believe it or not. Instructions from video is PERFECT!!!! don't do the loop. Worth investment to do it the correct way! But it's your call. Glad I went with the tips from this video.

Sat radio has died again for me, second time in 5y ownership. I may just go your route and get the newer version, might even just keep the antenna disconnected rather than hacking up the part since I don't actually use Sirius radio and just want something that I won't have to replace in a couple years and that won't drain my battery. hey great vid. My e90 335i has sound but it is very low, and will not go high. i changed the amp, but same problem, any idea what it could be?
So what was in memory for error message when comms restored with replacement unit?

old video but im searching a parasitic drain and ive done the fibre optic loop fix for my sound cause i dont use the satellite radio. how is my unit potentially draining my vehicle battery as i get that time reset ???? do i need to totally remove the satellite module?
Thanks for the video, but I would have appreciated seeing how to remove that little pink plastic connector, and explanation on the black one. Finally figured it out on my own. Took a while. I haven't pulled the module yet. We'll see.

How do I remove the power cable from the satellite receiver? In the video it shows you using a Screw driver but I can't tell what you did.
How did you get INPA in English? My wife actually left my E60 trunk open in the rain and the Bluetooth module was wet and I have the same problem. Can that be my problem? My satellite module was dry.
my sos signal is lit, my bluetooth no longer works, but my radio and cd player do still work. Any advice?
I'm going to have bmw dealership do a diagnostic to see what's wrong. I have sound from seatbelt and door and cluster...My 2006 bmw 330i CCC navigation unit display was going out and lost the sound from my phone but pairing song paused and just nothing since April 2020
Brought a new display hooked everything up played music from my phone to the unit no sound from the car? But playing on my phone. Idrive spins freely So I remove the new display and put the old display back in and it just blinks simultaneously with above SOS light indicator near sunroof.
Now November 2020 I hear a sound from CCC almost like a sound when you insert a cd into the drive and it goes on every 10 seconds .so I heard a Optical loop bypass can fix the problem by hooking it to the logic7 amp. Does your idrive work with that new Sat radio for you display? Need help
I have an e39 1995 bmw 740i and my satellite amplifier is not in the floor of the trunk as shown. I have the cd player in the trunk driver side. Where else do I look.
I have zero sound in my 2013 750i everything works as it should, just zero sound. Any suggestions?

Hello. I have one E90 and the PDC audio stop working. I went to my mechanic and he tested the sensors (front and rear), which are working well. Do you have any idea about what happened and is preventing the tipycal beep from working? Thanks in advance.

Is it safe to assume that if you don't have sat radio then it's the amplifier with the same symptoms?
If you replace the Nav unit do you need to encode that? I just replaced mine with a used one and the Nav system works now but now the sound is gone :(

How much HP and torque are you running? I think you have MHD stage 2 or 2+. I’m guessing you have downpipes & and an upgraded FMIC plus colder plugs? I know you have inlets & outlets with an Alpina Flash tune.
I made 400 WHP and 490 WTQ on a Dyno Dynamics, on a Dyno Jet that would have probably converted to 440 maybe 450 WHP and 520+ TQ. It's a custom tune running E50 targeting around 20.5 PSI, down pipes, intakes, colder plugs and intercooler with charge pipe and inlets/outlets. Typical bolt ons.

My idrive froze and radio has no sound and sos on dash. Methanol leak flooded area around amp back left side of trunk. Didnt know it was leaking turned on car everything was working for a minute then stopped. Tried the Most fiber bypass still didnt work. What # is the fuse for the amp? 08 335i e90
@@raymondtj999 I did, my amp was fried, picked one up on ebay now everything is working perfectly

Hi, my e90 has brief sound and cuts out then back again about 2 second intervals. Does this on all fm, aux etc. Any thoughts?

@@charityborero3592, I disconnected the battery overnight and it worked the next day and has since. Not sure if it is just a fluke. Wish I had better advice on the fix.

One more question...did you have to reset the system after disconnecting the battery? I am reading that needs to happen for the car to read the battery correctly.

No the car works perfectly fine just that it doesn’t display if I’m on park or drive or anything. But everything works

So im getting the SOS symbol but I still have radio and sound. I recently did try installing an aftermarket dash display which was giving me no sound at all so could this be the problem? I did order they bypass cable since I dont use sat-radio. Any help would be helpfull.
Same here I have the SOS light but I still have radio and sound but I have a popping cracking sound coming from the speakers

@@davispaul82 sorry to bring up an old topic but did you ever end up fixing it? Sometimes I’ll get an error and it won’t play Bluetooth and sometimes it won’t play radio or Bluetooth at all
@@E90Kane your combox is probably going out and you can with jump the fiber optic cable or replace.

Did you ever find out the problem? My E60 is doing the same as yours.
@@DjDestinyChicago Yes. The driver side tail light was incorrectly mounted and was allowing water to leak in. The large amp underneath the carpeting in the trunk was completely destroyed. Replaced it and all is working now. My car is an E92 though so I am not sure if this will be of any help.

My SOS light is on with no sound -- but my screen also wont load past the BMW logo -- could it still be the SAT radio?
I'd say there is a very good chance. My iDrive wouldn't hang at the BMW logo but it would lock up.
2007 bmw 335i no sound, sos light, bmw logo on nav, no door chimes, e brake light on. New used tcu, no luck. Tcu bypass plug from amazon hooked up, no luck. Please help.
(*SOLUTION IN COMMENTS*) i dont have any red light at all for any unit, its like im not getting any power when it comes to the radio stuff. i changed the battery,fusebox,fuses,amp. im so lost :(

@@gatiyovideo I fixed it, it was a special fuse in the fuse box that looks like a black fuse. It seemed missing on my fuse box as soon as I put it, everything worked
