Well worth the wait. The river can be an exciting place, had carp to 26lb from my local river and they truly are a different beast to lake fish. Great editing mate, the quality of your content is getting better and more professional all the time :)

Any chance of a shout out on your next video for me ian and my daughter Grace who after seeing your videos we are tackling a river in essex with a float rod and a cheeky carp rod. Some carp seen but can travel between locks. There are a couple of lakes that border the river and years gone by have flooded so there are some carp I know that are certainly 20s and the odd 30 I am sure. Great videos ....all the best from the Essex subscribers

Eels, like pike n perch go for carniverous baits. Luckily most other fish are omniverous...so depending on ur bait selection really. Never knew an eel with a sweet tooth. That said there are some really big uns in the thames. Might b worth having a go at

Nice vid. Is that the latest Fox bed /bench? They may be small eels, but that size is at least five years old!
