  • GeoGebra lets you create and manipulate vectors in fairly intuitive and flexible ways. In this video I'll show you the basics behind creating vectors, how to carry out the standard vector operations, and the relationship between vectors and points in GeoGebra.

Man, you could go crazy from here. Linear algebra as in the youtube 3 blue 1 brown linear algebra series. Also, Covariance vs contravariance, matrix operations etc.

I would be very interested in anything Calc 3 or Diff EQ-related that you would like to make a video on. I'm currently reviewing vector-valued functions, then headed into partial derivatives. But, plan to do a lot more review over the next few months.

Super! I was wondering how to use geogebra for vectors in 3D. Thanks.

Good video, thanks. It would have been good to show 2 vectors added head to tail with the resultant in podition. Vector(u, u+v)?

imo, u = a vector and U = a point is nice short-hand but true evil because it's that sneaky.
if I say u=( a, b) or A=( a,b ); neither abs (u) nor abs (U) work. Live site bug or something else?

Recommend not using such a large cursor, as it appears to be a geometrical object. Not a big deal, but something to consider. Great videos !

I still don't know why there are only the 2 methods of creating a vector. I mean the standard version we learned in school is that you have a point A and then a vector pointing away in some direction with a certain length starting on A it sits on. That way I can reach new points I DON'T know yet! If points A, B, D of a square are given, getting C is just using the Vector from A to B and placing it on D. Now its pointing directly to C. This however is impossible in GeoGebra. You can only create a straight line with A and a Vector, which is infinite without end so you wont point at anything but an inifite point. Completely useless to find a new point when knowing the lenght of the vector and its starting point A. The square ABCD has a middle Point M. The N-Vector on M is pointing 9 units of length to Point S. I can't find S with the explained limitations.

    Hello,
What if there is a vector with an unknown variable.
    (6,t,8)*(6,5,4)
how do i plot that in, in GeoGebra?
