- Taken from a spot along Sailor's Encampment Drive on St Joseph Island east of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, this is the Wilfred Sykes from Cleveland Cliffs, upbound making the turn at Johnson's Point on her way to the Soo Locks and then on to Duluth to load ore
Conditions were terrible to do this but it's the Sykes so I had to make the effort to try
The most beautiful ship on the Great Lakes 🤩🤩. Thanks for posting and Happy Holidays!
LOVE THIS.
There's something very peaceful about watching this video
Great Video! Thanks!!
Thank you for being a wonderful “nerd” on shore for us. The fog makes it a bit surreal - nice capture. Hope you had a Merry Christmas 🎄
I have not watched your postings for a while. Thank you and Happy New Year.
I don't usually watch shipping videos but thank you for this. I use to spend my summers at Pumpkin Point across the river where my Dad lived. We could here these heavy's thumping through the channel all night. Good memories, and thanks again.
that shot of the Sykes coming through the fog and around the bend is so atmospheric. Well done
She's high in the water. Hope you and yours had a great Christmas and that next year brings some sense of peace. Being an ex-seafarer I love your videos.
The Wilfred Sykes is a beautiful old Laker! Love seeing the ships make that turn,
Thank you for sharing :)
They have some nice Christmas lights on this ship
