    This interview was very interesting. As Muslims from East Asia, I am very close to Korean Muslims, and they are very confident, and I think Japanese Muslims have a lot to learn from them.Ayana has been a Muslimah longer than me, so I can relate to some of problems that she mentioned. And I also love Islam more after seeing Muslims in Malaysia and Indonesia. The interviewees' questions were very pertinent and I really enjoyed this interview very much. May Allah SWT bless you all.

    KINDRED STORIES IS ONE LEVEL HIGHER THAN KELUAR SEKEJAP.

    • @0900370pian
      @0900370pian หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree. Keluar Sekejap has more influences and although politic based, it touches various other branches as well such video of the week, reading of the week, number of the week etc. I learned more on Keluar Sekejap than Kindred Stories. Kindred Stories focus more on Islam related issues and the experiences of the guest.

    • @RoamingCosmos
      @RoamingCosmos 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Its depend on the contexts,. Because keluar sekejap is not focus on the person more to the issue/topic that involve certain individual, while kindered stories focus on the individual that involve certain issue/topic.. However this is just my point of view,.

    Ayana Moon's values are what we Korean Muslims want. It is completely different from someone who is a Korean Muslim man who uses his personal assets to donate to build his temple. Ayana Moon understands true Islam and believes in his values and beliefs. Bias and prejudices toward Islam are individual problems, not religiously. Korea also needs time to understand multiculturalism on the surface of ambivalence that is gradually changing into multiculturalism. Thank you for the interview~

    Very inspirational conversations...Ayana you're already an exemplary Korean muslim icon. Your vision, your mission & your future goals are so exciting to many Muslims, including myself. Congratulations. Stay focused on your determination to be a good example to other Korean Muslims. Your emphasis on being well educated as part of your journey is in line with Islam. One day inshAllah you'll be a very important Islamic figure in Korea, a leading Muslim politician who becomes the agent of change for all muslims in Korea. I'm so so proud of you.
    To KJ & Shahril, a thumbs up to both of you who are not only very polished in your English but also are well-versed in current issues, political, Islamic etc at global level. I become a fan of your Kindred... podcast already. ❤❤❤

    I saw that her thirst for knowledge which relates to what she said about akal, intellect, love to study, understand culture etc. had made her wanting to know more about Islam.
    Also based on her story. Its like Allah has choose her too to go through the path and eventually in future make a path for more Korean especially to maybe one day embrace Islam or at least be more visible and significant.
    Personal experience. Went to Korea in 2010 vs Japan. Korea seems like a closed door & foreign for Islam compared to Japan. Even their awarnes on Halal & Halal Food certified body came way more later.
    Imagine Seoul Central Mosque in Itaewon serounded with really "interesting" (read: lorong haji taib kind of) place 😅

    54:43 In Indonesia there is a mosque in the form of a linmas similar to Javanese Hindu culture which was built by the Wali Songo to say that Islam has not disappeared, of course culture does not violate religion.Wali Songo often spread religion with culture. There is also a mosque in the shape of a Chinese temple

    Thank you KS for doing the interview. It was interesting to know what it is like to be a Korean Muslim, the challenges that they face, the ongoing conflict that occurs in Korea, and the characters of a Muslim figure in Korea. I think Ayana did very well answering all the questions, and from her answers, it is noticeable that she has a strong personality (she can be a bit defensive as well) but that's what makes Ayana, Ayana.
    On a side note, I do feel like the guest needed some time to comprehend some of the questions (probably because before all of her interviews were short and less structured) and to have them answer spontaneously might lead the conversation to a bit more 'controversy' in some of her answer (i.e., her perspectives on Muslims residing in Korea).
    Suggestions maybe in the future, KS can study more on the guest background and try to adapt to the guest PR level and decide whether should you put metrics or steer the conversation to a more targeted answer or maybe KS can learn to smile more when the guest did not answer your question :D
