I spent 2 months in Sri Lanka in December and January and I am a solo traveller, so I spent about $3,000 Australian Dollars for the whole trip and I travelled around the whole country too. But I always backpack so I was staying at hostels and homestays and with family. Also little tip to those who are looking to travel cheap, go to Skyscanner and find the cheapest flight options. I travelled with Air Asia and I always travel with budget airlines. Also I often go to google flights and put my current location and see where in Asia would be the cheapest place to travel to and then see if I can take a plane from there to Lanka for cheap. Also on Tuesday nights flight prices drop and its often cheap to travel on Monday-Thursday. I travel to Sri Lanka at least every year or twice a year, that is why I am not too keen to go to fancy hotels etc. Prices in touristy places in Lanka are ridiculously expensive. I spent a week in Ahangama and food is as expensive as in Australia there. So are surf lessons like US$25. That is where I spent most of my money while in Sri Lanka.
Its a dream of ours too aiya to spent a lovely life like urs aiya. Striving hard to achieve a life like urs. One step is over n moving on to the next step in life. We went to Sri Lanka last December. It was way too expensive. Hotel prices were good. Mostly taxis were expensive and charged extra. Overall, most people in Sri Lanka in general have this attitude that we get money by doing nothing. They are the ones who tries to get money for doing nothing. Here we study, while working, perhaps doing two jobs, yes it's good money of course.
This is not much.after 7 years.this is shows onething very clearly.this is the life in western countries.see they are very serious about 10000 dolars.but they have to work hard to earn this money.hope they will visit sri lanka again 10 years. I have spent within one year just for air.ticket 16 lacks.but i didnt feel coz im living in sl.if i lived in other, i would definitely act like this.
$10,000 is not that big of an amount in Australia. But we are very conservative and that’s how you save and invest 🤗❤️ check my money101 playlist for more
