Got my 2023 Kia Niro Ev 'Limited' in July. since then I have driven from Winnipeg to Vancouver island (and back) and from Toronto and back. ONE improvement I have added: I replaced the 'sub woofer' speaker in the trunk with a full size spare! Other than that I have found the car to be 100% what I want in ac car... NO playstation in the front seat!, just a very functional Infotainment screen AND lots of buttons that do all the things I want easy access to... heated seats, mirrors, heated sterring wheel, etc etc. REALLY just like a car but so much so much more fun AND CHEAP TO RUN. Great range! and when I was in B.C. I found the Re-Gen to be unbelievable! Totally satisfied. RE: spare check out '2023 Kia niro spare tire' on youtube!
I wouldn't drive Tesla if they were free. Tesla owners are as annoying as militant vegans and the new anti vegans who only eat raw meat and butter. They also have poorer fit and finish than a Lada...
Sure get a Model Y but you are also buying all the flaws of Tesla cars. The Niro is 'screwed together right' the first time, and Kia does not charge you extra for "X,Y,Z" features, Kia has REAL customer service, REAL places for service{where this writer is its a 02 hour drive, or tow, for services.] & more. This writer has the 2019 model, and its a true winner.
@@harriettanthony7352 That same Kia that marks up cars at the dealership, adds on stuff you don't want, has millions of cars recalled for fire risk, and just lost a class action suite over the cars being stolen? No thanks. Have you even seen the Tesla order page? There are no options except paint colors and wheels.
The “Aeroblade” is hideous. My wife got the SX Touring in all black so you can’t see it. BTW we love it. We’ve had it three months and we’re averaging 51mpg.
My Niro Aeroblades are the same colour as the car, BUT those aeroblades actually are responsible for extending your range by creating turbulance behind the car that eliminates much of the drag!
Have they fixed the Scheduled Charging so that you can charge the car on off-peak cheap electricity? Kia knows about this problem yet there is no solution, they get owners to update software, uodate headunits etc. etc. yet there is still no solution. Seems an easy software fix to start and stop charging at given times, what’s so hard?
You’re looking to buy a 2023 Kia Niro hybrid, my advice is to purchase literally any other car. Three weeks into my four year lease with the temporary tags and plastic still on the floor mats, this car just abruptly stopped in the middle of the road saying hybrid system failure. It has 1100 miles. What a joke.
Apparently it needed an all new major part that allows the hybrid system and fuel system to communicate. This happened to a brand new vehicle with less than 1000 miles. It needed to be in the shop for 2 weeks and, the kicker, is they won't let me return in even though it was deeply traumatizing. I recommended NOT KIA if you can help it. Super disappointed in this company.

I want my SUV to look like a sturdy/utilitarian family mobile vehicle that can pull it's share when the zombie apocalypse hits. This looks like a French Terrier, ain't scaring anyone. :)))
@@manthony225 True true. I did give it too much credit, it's a mixed class mutt : ) Hence why the ''French'' from the French Buldog, and ''Terrier'' from the Boston Terrier. :))

Always bugs me how Kia puts their rear turn signals way down at ankle level.
It’ll result in an expensive fender bender
I don’t have any problem with it.
The Carolina squatters will never see those turn signals.
@@lance_r72 heh heh
It's Korean law, I think
Nice vehicle, aside from that terrible glossy black center console.
What if Kia replaced the Niro EV with the EV4 SUV?
Same price as a Tesla 3.
For a few thousand more, you can have a Tesla Y.
Where’s Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Toyota’s versions?!? Hyundai/ Kia OBVIOUSLY way ahead of the game!! Love my EV6!
Seems like that price is a bit high for what you get. A Tesla Model Y long range is only $43,495 if you qualify for the tax credit.

C, those are C-pillars
$40k and $45k.... I think I will wait!
Its $51K in the UK for the top spec - I have one.
Rented one and it has severe torque steer when floored. EVs have a lot more torque and it seems Kia used gas car front end.
Overpriced. I'll buy when the price reaches reasonable levels of 31k
wheres the PHEV test?
For that kind of money, I'd rather wait for the Chevrolet Equinox EV.
A $30k car for $40-45k
