My favorite brands of all time are TM Racing, Honda, and Yamaha because of rideability and reliability...and I own the first two now with a TM Racing EN300ES (modded with MX VHM Cylinder head and MX 28mL insert ( among a little of other mods) even though it's the enduro racer so it can race GPs, Sprints, GNCC, WORCS). That thing was a ripper too!!! BEAST MACHINES!!!
One of the hardest bikes to kick over are the infamous XR650R's. Such powerful beasts but have an insane amount of compression in them. Takes a real strong leg to kick it over properly. All of the XR's are beautiful bikes but require a good leg unless it's the 650L that has an E-starter
Yep, my XR from the '80s was horrible to start. 2nd gear down a slope, much easier. That bike sucked if it stalled going uphill on dirt. But didn't have that cool 2 stroke sound, but I liked the single cylinder thump, and the torque!
Totally agree, two stroke engines are relatively easy to kick over if you know the basics. The newer ones are also much easier too. I had a 92 cr 250 (loved that bike) that was a bit harder to kick than my actual beta 300, probably it's designed at a different compression ratio. I had also a 1998 kx 125, funny how the tiny kick lever was easy to push down (proper compression in the engine, but it's just a small 125). Would love to have a 500 to start but I think I could do without too much trouble, one just has to know how to look for top dead center and kick from there. I see lot of guys just fouling plugs kicking wide open. Old four strokes are the real hard stuff. Also kick backs are rare if the ignition timing is correct.
@@ChiTuSai i had a buddy who found an extremely mint CR500. He traded it for an old 7.3 work truck he rebuilt. That bike was so big even my buddy at 6’ tall looked at it and goes damn. I go “A 96 CR500 why?” He told us when these were brand new he actually had more people than we’d think show up because they messed up their ankles on those beasts. The CR!
I love 2 stroke engine 🇮🇩 😌 🏍💨
my Dad always said that to me "if you can start it" 🤣.
Edit: I just realized that's what I tell my boys now 🤣
Thats what i say when guys want to ride my Honda XR650R
Yeah I bet lol. I own a 650L I thought about adding an R to round out the stable. I bet the R tears it up
@@innerverse1809 ohhh yeah
yeah my 85 kxf tecate 3 i remember when i would do a rebuild that first kick was always everything u got in you😂
And that is why i ride KTM 250 sx-f Factory!!!
That Zook looks amazing with the yellow frame. Dam nice.
hotth8hott6hott8hoterss😢🎉90 1890 jessauseuss.
😢😮😅😊😂❤🎉🎉😂❤
Nobody knows "how to feel it" anymore lol
You mean top dead center?
250 2 strokes kick over easy, no excuse!
Not as easy as 125’s, it’s also heavily dependent on how much compression the bike has.
@@dylanmonnelly9539 So freaking true...my 2019 TM Racing 300 with FULLY modified engine feels like a dog when trying to start with the kick-start...that's why I use the electric most of the time. lol
@@jonathondavis170 e start must be nice lol my 16yz250’s kicker is really well designed to kick and strong splines into the crank. And it runs on race gas lol.
@@dylanmonnelly9539 I LOVE YZs...they really are built well...had one of those, and a 2020 Husqvarna before buying the TM Racing...it just has an insane amount of compression because I spent an extra $5500 on the engine, and it really should have a decompression switch, but it's not too bad kicking over with a boot, but it is nice to have both for sure! The Honda is a 450. I'd love the new YZ125, but got no more money for extra bikes. haha I spent my savings I had to get my dream bikes.
I REALLY have been looking at those 22 YZ125s and YZ250s - can't wait to see them redo the 2 stroke X platforms. Did you see Twisted Development's 58HP to the wheel 22 YZ300 on Vital??? That thing was a ripper too!!! BEAST MACHINES!!!
When you know you know 😏
Almost like it wasn't getting spark.
It takes a real man's man to rock the Ugg boots and skinny jeans.
The sweet sound of a 2 stroke engine ♥️♥️♥️
Lol i can relate to this so much
Since when were two strokes the hard ones to kick over? Such pansies today. Try kicking over a four stroke like the old XR 350.
He tried kick starting it without finding top dead center. We had to explain to the doctor how he REALLY broke his ankle. He told the doctor he stepped in a hole and it snapped, he didn’t want to be embarrassed that he couldn’t start his bike. We told the doc and he goes “I know, the break in his ankle isn’t the same as it would be if he tripped in a hole” we asked how he knew and he asked what kind of bike it was. I go “A 96 CR500 why?” He told us when these were brand new he actually had more people than we’d think show up because they messed up their ankles on those beasts. I want one of my own so badly but Ive never owned a dirt bike nor do I think ill ever find a 500cc
@@synshenron798 Back in the day my CR500 kicked back and ripped through part of the sole and the, I guess it's called the waist, of my boot. (The section where if you put your feet together would be about center) Very few people could even start that bike and did occasionally injure people.
Me: slaps my kid in the fuggin face for wearing skinny jeans then again for floating the valves on my fresh top end rebuild.
Remember the old dirt bike rule, I f you can't start it, you can't ride it.
I had a 93 kx500 growing up and only me and one other person could start it loved watching people bust there shins open
Push that plug wire back on lmao
Gay
I'll take the RM250 anyday, had an 08 better than new when brought,I thrashed it for 5 years most days of week changing nothing but tyres & oil + air filter & still went like knew when sold.Wish I still had it...
Nothing better than a two stroke . That's the problem with the younger generation they want easy but good things are earned
My 99RM 250, takes a man's leg to kick, even after 80+ hrs💯
dope garage. goals.
It's tuned perfectly, it sounds soo nice
That 4 stroke sound was heaven
Spontan Jiwa 2tak ku terjaga❤
That's a nice dad and daughter video
