There is no hitchhiking culture in China, so most Chinese drivers don't understand your intention of standing by the side of the road.
Brave Indian girl, I wish you all the best.
Yes, especially the language barrier makes hitchhiking more difficult.
I said the same thing, but she said there is, and actually a word for that. I guess she meant 顺风车shun feng che, however, it mostly and actually means free ride with someone you know, NOT hitchhiking.
You can hitch a ride, but it's very far from Yunnan to Sichuan. Unless you hitch a ride on the expressway, you can only hitch a ride in sections! ! !
There were 2 Indians YT travellers who entered China through Boten, Laos. Like these 2 dudes, yes, actually you can hitchhike, but first, ask the local people to write down something like " help me ride for free" on a cardboard in Chinese and show it to the passing drivers.
She knows China is safe. But I am sure she won't do this in her own country India.
There is no free-rider culture in China. Because public transportation in China is very developed, there are various buses for short and medium distances, which can cross cities, and railways, high-speed rail, and airplanes for long distances. Of course, you can also choose to use taxi software, such as Didi, Harrow Hitch, etc., similar to Uber, suitable for short and medium distances.
Of course, you may have your own reasons for choosing to hitchhike, and I'm just offering advice and wishing you a nice trip.(Use translation software to translate)
She said it’s boring to take a train (I believe her personality is something she always want to try different things, but the problem is she should write a board and let the drivers know what she wants, erase the mindset “Chinese should speak English “ . Drivers will be nervous or hesitat due to the language barrier too
@@weizhang2834 Yes I was also about to comment something similar that she should get a board and write on it in Chinese "I need lift" then may be few more cars will stop.
In China, drivers are generally reluctant to pick up strangers because if something happens, the driver will be held legally responsible. For example, if a passenger is injured or killed in a traffic accident, the driver will be held responsible. Even if the driver dies in an accident, his family will have to compensate the passenger.
You are the bravest Indian girl I've ever come across on social media or in real life. True Sikhni brave lioness
I have been driving in China for more than 20 years and I have never met anyone who wants to hitchhike. Chinese people would find it strange that people would hitchhike when transportation is so developed. Is there some ulterior motive?
This is what travel vloggers do, for genuine interection.
Hitchhiking gives local experience and is a nice way to understand a bit about the country.
Love you bro 😂😂
me too。We are more inclined to help you buy a train or bus ticket
If you have any difficulties - find the police. Three year old children all know
@@WanderingWithPaint I understand what you mean. I want to express that fewer people will park their cars.
ek akeli ladki china ghum rahi hai.. aur yahan meri maa bazar se dur jaane nahi deti..😂 proud of you behen❤❤
Akele na bahar Jaya karo o o ooo nazarr lag jayegi she don't know she don't know Munda yono decrazy she don't know she's don't know ...........bhul gaya song😅
haan janab yeh India hai aur humare yahan aisa hi hota hai 😒😔

@@anishgupta1083😂😂 areh Bhai areh bahai😂😂
Tumhaari mataji is liye ghoomne nahi jane deti hai kyunki tum India mein rehti ho or wo China mein hai, jahaan crime rate against women is almost zero.
Thanks!
You are such a brave girl.
1. There is no hitchhiking culture in China, so it is difficult to ask for help.
2. When hitchhiking, you need to find a vehicle that is not too dense and suitable for parking, because in some areas, the traffic rules do not allow parking.
Stop instead of “parking “
very nice! You don’t have to worry about being robbed when you come to China, and girls don’t have to worry about being violated. In India, all animals have to wear pants, and Indians don’t even let lizards go.
😂😂
Salute to parents of Garima, who allows their daughter to travel solo wherever she wants, other parents should learn from them to make their children fearless
HITCHHIKING is no popular in China, so it is expected you will be hard to has car stop for you. moreover, normal Chinese seldom use English, even somebody had finished college, but will be very hard to understand Indian accent. maybe you can has somebody to write down you destination in Chinese.
lovely Indian girl, wish you all the best.
Salute your courage, it's really tuff to normal human being, even strong men
rural china looks neater than developed india
This is rural western China, one of the poorest places in China

Wonderful vlog! Thank you for showing the beautiful scenes. I just can't believe you are hitchhiking alone in rural area. Is it safe for you to do the same in India? enjoy your trip and hope you bring more videos in China.
You are the most beautiful ordinary Indian girl I have ever seen. I am from Tibet, Tashi Delek!
Good luck Garima. Enjoy your tours.

As an Indian girl, you are really brave. Wishing you a pleasant trip to China.
You can come a few more times instead of going to overly popular cities every time.
The bravest girl ... Salute 🙏❤
Hitchhiking in China seems really tough but still u managed nearly half the distance by hitchhiking, Superb Ma'am.

Garima Sister, You are really great for hitchhiking in a new country. I am really appreciate for your patience for asking lift. You are a brave girl 👧. Beautiful video ❤❤❤❤. Happy Journey 😊. Keep your health. Time to eat. ❤❤❤❤ 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Girl, wish you all the best. I am Chinese and have been driving for 7 years. No one has hitchhiked on the road, so it's strange to see strangers hitchhiking on the roadside. I may not be able to park.

Garima you are a brave girl.
Hope to add English subtitles soon, enjoy your trip
I'm lucky to see your video. You are a very brave girl. Welcome to my hometown Yunnan. China does not have a hitchhiking culture, so it is very difficult for you to hitchhike from Lijiang to Chengdu. I really admire you for visiting so many countries. China is relatively safe. I wish you a pleasant journey.
good going..Garima...👏🎉👏
You are bold girl God bless you.
You are truly adventurous my dear ❤ keep safe
You might wonder why Chinese students have English classes starting from middle school, with at least five classes per week, yet most of them seem unable to speak English. This is because the majority of English education in China is still focused on exams rather than communication.
As someone who has been through the system, what you are saying is indeed true, besides, most of them don't get enough chance to use it in their daily life, just like your high school geometry, if you don't need it, you probably have already forgotten most of it.
@@user-pl7ed6ci6l The biggest BS I hv ever heard 🤣🤣in South East Asia, even the poorest country, people are able to understand basic english and at least speak a little of it, regarding English education, everything else is the same like China if not worse, but China, zero!!.
One more thing: non sense gibberish ENglish printed on t-shirt, bad and non sense English printed on notice/sign/warning board in public park, etc. You will never see this in other countries anywhere. English education in China FAILED BIG TIME. Period!
@@handaxia1251 You can't compare China to the former British colonies, people in China learn and use English as needed, for example, I went through that system, I work for American companies, my English is perfect, however, my high school classmates, who went through the same system as I did, but they have no need for English, so they have already forgotten most of it, and that doesn't mean they are less successful, as a matter of fact, many are doing much better than I am, they just have no need for English in their line of jobs, or as they have secretaries that can translate for them.

What a courageous girl,I'm waiting for you in Chengdu
You might have better chances if you hold up a big sign indicating your destination for a free ride because the thumbs up hitchhiking signal doesn’t mean anything in China. Although people don’t hitchhike in China, I applaud your courage for trying. Wish you safe and happy journey in China.
Garima I always waiting for your videos😍
Sure
This girl is crazy, luckily China is safe enough for her idea
Love 💕 from ❤ Assam.
In China, Indians often ask strangers for their names as soon as they meet. I have reminded Indian travel bloggers many times that in China, it is impolite to ask a stranger's name directly. In China, it is generally more appropriate to ask for a person's surname when meeting for the first time. In India, due to the caste system, asking someone's surname can be inappropriate. However, in China, where there is no caste system, asking for someone's surname is considered normal social behavior.
Well done Garima ji. Purpose of the painful hitchhike. I give an example. A Indian origin entrepreneur in Singapore recently moved back to Bangalore. Reason he said was that his daughter is 12 year old and Singapore is so perfect that his daughter is not learning any uncertainties of life.
I found a good excuse for failure.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@dxJ-qt2th Good for you but the guy has a successful story. He is moving his base to Bangalore.

Good Garima Jee🤩

You are more of like wandering in small town/villages in China, not much hiking on the dirt roads, or mountain paths, and its not very nice weather wise , this is the hottest months in China, remember to drink lots of water.
And yeah 99.99% of Chinese don’t speak English(why they have to????), China is not like India or other English/American former colonies where English is widely spoken, other tourist countries like Thailand, our even Japan and Korea, most people don’t know English neither.
So sweet🎉
I love your video, well come to east of china
There is no hitchhiking culture in China. Almost every family has a car and public transportation is very developed.

China is a safe country, but a girl traveling alone without speaking Chinese should be very careful. If budget permits, take public transportation instead.
Your Nice journey by take lift and take lifts you are very beautiful in Train take care and take rest love you Garima G never mind on my English my English is same chaines
Excellent👍
Hitchhike is a patience work, keep it up.
Nice Keep it up 😊
❤❤❤Awesome 👍👍 👍 ❤❤❤
China doesn't have hitchhick culture. Because public transportation is very convenient and loading stranger may cause trouble.
I wouldn't recommend a foreign firl doing hitchhiking in China especially in the western part. Because some hitchhikers use sex as exchange for the ride, the driver may think he can take advantage of you. Raping is rarely happen in China especially toward foreigner, but just to be on the sahe side, take the train.
