If Alex acted alone, why didn't Lori report him and why wasn't she looking for her kids? Why did she tell Melanie Gibb that her kids were safe after they were dead?
I think Lori maybe thought, even before they were dead, that her kids' true spirits had gone to some sort of spiritual afterlife. She says they are "safe and happy". She never says they are alive. She tells Colby that she misses them, and I think that is partly true. She misses her kids, but she also killed or was complacent in the deaths of their bodies, once they were possessed by dark spirits. In many ways, I think Lori thinks of herself as the main character in a supernatural story, and she thinks she sees and understands much more than most people, like people who can see vampires living hidden among regular folks.

I can feel how much you, Dr. John & Banks love Jamis. I want you to know that a friend of mine came out of a coma 8 months after a car accident. I want you to know there is hope for your beloved brother. Your family will remain in my thoughts & prayers 🙏 Lauren, I would also like to extend my sympathy for the loss of Logan. I will never forget you sharing what a wonderfully unique person he was. I respect the fun idea of "keeping it jazzy" because of how Logan had a jazzy style all of his own. I think Lori was just waiting for her chance at greatness, so much so that when Chud came along and offered it to her she embraced it with both hands, and she did not care whom it harmed, she just took it and ran. The way she treated Joe Ryan and the custody of Tylee Ryan she must have been a mean and vengeful person long before Chud came along ! Thank you both for all you do....☺

I don't think one or the other is more at fault! They are both evil! But the idea that it's all Chad's fault , to hear these two say that just makes me angry! That is ludicrous!

When Lori says, "I have been told" it isn't necessarily from Chad. She could have been "told" by whatever voices she thinks she is hearing... which I think is her own imagination.
Yes, I agree but it could be Chad. The reason Chad tells Lori the people in her life are dark is because Lori knows all the right things to say to Chad in order for him to declare someone as dark or a zombie. Chad was eating out of Lori’s hand. In my opinion. She would go on and on about the people standing in her way, because she knew how Chad would classify them.
Agree. It was probably SOMETIMES Chad, but not exclusively Chad. She and her group of women followers would have “castings,” which is a form of satanic ritual/“black magic.” They were seeking to communicate with a spiritual realm and very likely tapped into some very dark/demonic energy. When they speak of “portals,” they MAY have believed that they were communicating with beneficent forces (or they may have been fully aware that they were communicating with dark entities?), but the end result of all of these murder victims amongst their family members, spouses and former spouses CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES that they were dealing in VERY DARK energies here. And Lori provided all the information on the people rated. Rating system came out all from Lori’s perspective before Chad met any of the victims-except his wife but that was convenient and done to pacify Lori again.
@Cami Kay The first thing Investigators do, is try to establish who stands to gain what. We know the answer is Lori and Chad. Lori thought she was going to get Charles' $1 million Life Insurance, thank God he changed the Beneficiary. Lori also gained the Social Security Benefits from Tylee and JJ, Chad gained $400+ thousand from Tammy's Life Insurance, which he'd increased only weeks before her death. Case closed!

I think that Lori knew how to use poison, and used it on Tylee and others, like Joe Ryan and even Charles. And she also had a brother that would hurt people for her, and was told that he was her protector. I think then, she met Chad who gave her a religious reason to get money and anything else she wanted. And that they could do it in Christ's name. They were the perfect storm when they got together.
Exactly. Knowing now that the email rating light and dark came from Lori originally and the name Ned Schneider did as well really push me to believing she was the leader in all of it!
@@gracejones2831 I do! I think she ( or she and Alex ) were responsible for Joe Ryan's death prior to all of the other victims and prior to meeting Chad. My thought is it was easy and she got away with it, so the next time she needed money that was her go to move. I believe the religious aspect was just something that gave her purpose, and a validation for her feelings and actions and a way to get others involved ( aka Chad, Zulema, Melani x2 and others)

Lori's pre-Chad husband was shot to death in July 2019. Both kids were in the house at the time. The kids are last seen in September 2019. I'm wondering if Tylee could eventually testify about her stepfather's murder, which was the big reason she was murdered.

Fascinating to hear John explain some in-depth psychoogical subject matter in lay terms. I particularly enjoyed what he said abouit the narrative element in jury deliberation and decision making. So great to hear him mention Willem Wagenaar, whose work I admire. I'm so looking forward to his and Lauren's comments on the trial. Theirs is not just another voice in the true crime choir. They provide valuable background and real insight.
Here's another thought. Charles rang the alarm, but no one saw or believed Lori to be mentally ill? She was evaluated before they killed Charles, and she had no signs of mental illness. So, I do not believe she is mentally ill. It is not something you can just turn off and on. I believe she is a master manipulater. I believe she is a narcissist to the core. She knew Kay and Larry would gladly take JJ, and Tylee had friends who offered her a place to stay and finish her last year of high school. It's comes down to power, control, money, and lust. Lori has played the system from the time they started asking, "Where are the kids?" and she will continue to play the system. At any point, if things don't look like they are going her way, she will be deemed incompetent... Again.
Just started listening to this podcast series. And I am already hooked! Being someone who has an interest in the psychology behind people and their behaviors, and also some true crime (most especially Lori Vallow) this is fascinating so far! WOW!

She was in a coma for 2 months, and life support. 3 years on she is here to tell the tale with a year of her memory missing. She is working and living a normal life again ! From what I have learned about Lori and her history, I think she has been on the verge of crisis all her life. And each time she gets too close, she kills (or has killed) the person who is threatening her ‘way of life.’ Going to jail did push her over the edge and has been brought back to a kind of sanity, but she always has been narcissistic.

No one should tolerate Froot Loops like Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell. What a horrible end for Charles Vallow, Chad’s poor wife and those children - all for NOTHING. They didn’t deserve the kind of evil they received from those delusional people.
I have to respectfully disagree about Chad really believing. I absolutely love you two! And I am often amazed at your incredible insight!! But I honestly believe that Chad was caught up in having a beautiful blond cheerleader who he never thought he could have gotten before, he was addicted to the small amount of fame he was getting, he noticed that when he said these things were true, that got him more followers. I think he was so caught up in the “glamour” and money and potential sex with a “goddess” that he went with it. More than anything in this world, Chad wanted to be rich and powerful and important and respected and for the world to acknowledge that he really was as special as he had always believed himself to be. Lori made him feel all of those things, so he did whatever it took to keep that coming. I don’t know for sure, but he doesn’t seem to me to be acting like a true believer anymore. He’s certainly distancing himself from Lori. And if he was still a true believer, wouldn’t he be sticking with her? Lori on the other hand does seem to still be a true believer. I think if Lori had never come into the picture for Chad, he would have spent the rest of his life playing his little Dungeons and Dragons-ish make believe but never acting on it. Also, I will never believe that Joe Ryan died of natural causes. No matter what the coroner said, by the time they got Joe’s body there was absolutely no way to know for sure that he died of a heart attack. I think they just assigned that cause because it seemed plausible. But I will never believe that Lori didn’t kill him. Which (to my way of thinking) means Lori had already committed murder before even meeting Chad. She was the one making things happen. Chad, on his own, never would have done anything.
Also, just because Chad said he believed these things were true doesn’t really mean he actually did believe. Saying he believed gave him street cred. If he really believed, why did he never act on it? Lori on the other hand had no problem acting on it. She was all about acting on these teachings!
Also to add insight into Chad Daybell. His first book publishing customer said Chad never mentioned to her about his near death experience of which that is what she was writing a book about. He only started the near death story after this lady wrote her book that he published.
Alex killed Joseph. He went to prison for his taser attack on him. I think incestuous Lori and Alex first killed their sister and hence her closeness with Melanie Boudreaux.
@@goldsbym Exactly! Chad saw that her having a near death experience got her attention and helped her sell books. He knew he’d never really had this happen to him. But he claimed it for the rest of his life because it got him closer to what he wanted. And if you tell a lie for long enough, you can start to believe it. But deep down, he knew it was a lie.

As a FYI....an air (gas) embolism can cause a pulmonary embolism. This can occur by injecting air into a vein or artery. Simply put, introducing atmospheric air into the bloodstream. These happen occasionally during surgical procedures, especially brain surgery; however, are immediately corrected by health care personnel monitoring the patient. If not corrected, these can cause a stroke, pulmonary embolism and even death. These can occur with only 1 to 2 ml of atmospheric gas (air) is introduced into the bloodstream; however, usually 20 ml of gas produces a larger occlusion in the bloodstream effecting dire consequences if not properly treated. Additionally, during a thoracentesis, which is utilizing a needle inserted between the ribs attached to a thin catheter to collect a small sample of fluid in the pleural space. Therefore, although, very rare, there is a way to cause a pulmonary embolism or stroke by way of injecting air into the circulatory system with nefarious intent (homicide). As a retired RN....I spent my entire professional career cognizant of this danger while performing procedures necessary to care for my patients. Definitely, nurses are very conscience of doing no harm to our patient!

I think Lori has an extreme case of (high and malignant) narcissism, and has always seen herself as better than other people. She is very much about appearances and put forth a "good" image, but appearances arent always reality. Nothing made her look more superior than taking in a child on the spectrum, who was largely being raised by her daughter Tylee. Her behavior after her husband was murdered is who she really is. Manipulative, charming, lacking empathy for her husband and her kids. She had been manipulating Tylee against her step dad. Tylee was probably desperate for any acknowledgement from her mother. Yes, she was already cruel. She met another malignant narcissist who was just as manipulative as she was and they were exactly two peas in a pod. She loved the idea that she was this Goddess, or Warrior for God because this confirmed her belief that she was superior to all other humans, except Chad of course, because women know their place in LDS. (I hope you listened to her podcast). Chad came up with that rating system where of course he was at the top and she was the next highest under him, and of course at the bottom of all that were their obstacles to their ultimate honeymoon in Hawaii, all the "zombies" were their spouses and their kids. Yes, she was delusional, but she always was, even before Chad. That woman having a perfect honeymoon when her kids were missing and dead is who she really is. She has no love, no empathy and no remorse. She was instrumental in manipulating her brother to do what he did to have this new life she wanted, and had that honeymoon on their blood. She deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life.

I wondered who Tylee stayed with in those months Lori took off and abandoned her kids before she murdered Charles. For some reason I knew it was Alex. I just heard her uncle Adam say that in his phone call with the Arizona detective. It was Alex. Just imagine Tylee being called a "zombie" by her mother for disagreeing with her, knowing exactly what happens when Lori decides someone is a zombie, and having no one else to turn to but Alex Cox. I wish she called Adam or her brother, but Lori had probably manipulated Tylee against anyone who could help her in her family while manipulating all the toxic family members against Tylee. I just cant imagine what Tylee went through having a malignant narcissist as a mother, especially in those last months. Lori probably emotionally neglected, abused and gaslit Tylee her whole life. Tylee was the one caring for JJ while Lori sought followers and "prayed" for peoples deaths (including JJs) in the temple. I am certain Tylee came here to break the trauma cycle in that family. Its so incredibly tragic she never got the chance. Tylee continues to stand in the shadow of her mothers narcissist attention seeking ego at her own murder trial.

I think Lori was obsessed with and terrified of the end times and Jesus’s return.. and Chad provided her with power to be a “warrior goddess” for Jesus instead of being terrified. Also Lori was looking for her spiritual equal and she said Charles just wasn’t it..(because of reading all these horror stories about end times and being a “latter day saint” it was right now.. finally …) which of course Charles thought she had gone over the edge.. which she had..
Lori had serious issues going on in her life decades before she met Chad. She has a trail of dead people as well as four other marriages behind her. She broke bad a long time ago and she was the impetus for Chad breaking bad. Not understanding how you think she isn’t as guilty if not more so than Chad in all of this. Makes no sense. Chad was weird but none of this started for him (deaths) until he met Lori. They are both dangerous people and I would say Lori is a psychopath. Maybe that’s not what you meant and because you cut your episode short, it wasn’t clarified….?

Agree chad were on a roll with his end of days beliefs but had a quiet life up to meeting her ....after they met she fixated on him and he could not say no to a beautiful woman and fell hard for her....their beliefs then turned into lust for each other and greed for money....the two of them then created their own belief system to be with each other....
I think Lori was well on her way to being an evil sociopath. Especially when you hear the audio of her telling how she was planning on “murdering” Joe Ryan. Just the sound of her voice gives me chills. I think that Chad was the fuel that catapulted her to an entire new level of “evil”.

Why do you think Lori tried to have Joseph Ryan murdered by her brother if she were only influenced/told by Chad to carry out certain things? That occurred long before she met Chad yet she already had murderous intentions at that time. She says as much on audio recordings. So her murderous beliefs & desires were already in place. I don't think she was just a follower. She didn't think she was going to die with the apocalypse, she believed she was a translated being who would lead the 144,000. So I don't by that she felt the need to do what she did because she'd die & it wouldn't matter anymore. His system may have been used but she's just as culpable I think what Chad does will depend on how Lori's case goes. If she's found guilty I think it's possible he might take a plea deal. If she is not found guilty I think he will take his chances with a trial. The fact that the cases were severed is a huge benefit to Chad since he can now watch what happens & see what evidence they have, how the prosecution lays out their case, etc

If Chad is texting to Lori that she’s a goddess, then how is he not “breaking bad” because of her? He fell hard and fast for her, to the point he cheated on his wife and lied to his kids saying he met her in Hawaii after Tammy’s death. Agreed he was all about power. He also felt pressured by Lori to murder his wife, as evidenced by her constant hounding of wanting Tammy gone.

It helps some of us with narcissist family members in general & how important it is to keep a distance but keep an eye on these types of behaviors for the safety of those around them. In realizing that their are varied Pshychopathic & Narcassitic behaviors here combined with a disconnect. ..so complex. I think it's valuable how these two were raised & were different from their own siblings & how a church can be used to validate controlling & dangerous behaviors. In addition Why ""others"" do not want to see red flags sooner.
I suppose the defense _could_ say that Alex acted alone, but how will they explain why Lori and Chad bounced right after the welfare check and didn’t report the children as missing and didn’t assist LE when they were looking for the children and Lori even ignored the court order to produce the children. None of that are the actions of people that don’t have anything to do with what happened to those two kids.
Two friends of Lori’s said that Lori told them she paid Alex to kill her husband Joe Ryan, and this may be true. She may not have been caught but if this is true she was very bad before Chad, imo.
Lori is really starting to look like her mom. This trial is not about looks, but I think people make comments because she makes such a big deal about how she appears to people. She puts it above everything else. This whole thing has been a fiasco from the get-go. Maybe she thinks her looks (which are quickly changing) will in some way help her out of this. It looks like it did when she was younger. She still thinks she's got it. All these people that believe in zombies are really twisting the true word of God. It's hard to believe people are easily misled. Their belief is so farfetched.

I think Lori maybe thought, even before they were dead, that her kids' true spirits had gone to some sort of spiritual afterlife.
She says they are "safe and happy". She never says they are alive. She tells Colby that she misses them, and I think that is partly true. She misses her kids, but she also killed or was complacent in the deaths of their bodies, once they were possessed by dark spirits.
In many ways, I think Lori thinks of herself as the main character in a supernatural story, and she thinks she sees and understands much more than most people, like people who can see vampires living hidden among regular folks.
Because she knew all along what the truth was. She knew they were dead, PERIOD!
I believe Alex was Lori's hit man.

Lori also gained the Social Security Benefits from Tylee and JJ, Chad gained $400+ thousand from Tammy's Life Insurance, which he'd increased only weeks before her death. Case closed!

I think that Lori knew how to use poison, and used it on Tylee and others, like Joe Ryan and even Charles. And she also had a brother that would hurt people for her, and was told that he was her protector. I think then, she met Chad who gave her a religious reason to get money and anything else she wanted. And that they could do it in Christ's name. They were the perfect storm when they got together.

Lori's pre-Chad husband was shot to death in July 2019. Both kids were in the house at the time. The kids are last seen in September 2019. I'm wondering if Tylee could eventually testify about her stepfather's murder, which was the big reason she was murdered.

Fascinating to hear John explain some in-depth psychoogical subject matter in lay terms. I particularly enjoyed what he said abouit the narrative element in jury deliberation and decision making. So great to hear him mention Willem Wagenaar, whose work I admire. I'm so looking forward to his and Lauren's comments on the trial. Theirs is not just another voice in the true crime choir. They provide valuable background and real insight.
Here's another thought. Charles rang the alarm, but no one saw or believed Lori to be mentally ill? She was evaluated before they killed Charles, and she had no signs of mental illness. So, I do not believe she is mentally ill. It is not something you can just turn off and on. I believe she is a master manipulater. I believe she is a narcissist to the core. She knew Kay and Larry would gladly take JJ, and Tylee had friends who offered her a place to stay and finish her last year of high school. It's comes down to power, control, money, and lust. Lori has played the system from the time they started asking, "Where are the kids?" and she will continue to play the system. At any point, if things don't look like they are going her way, she will be deemed incompetent... Again.

She was in a coma for 2 months, and life support. 3 years on she is here to tell the tale with a year of her memory missing. She is working and living a normal life again ! From what I have learned about Lori and her history, I think she has been on the verge of crisis all her life. And each time she gets too close, she kills (or has killed) the person who is threatening her ‘way of life.’ Going to jail did push her over the edge and has been brought back to a kind of sanity, but she always has been narcissistic.

I have to respectfully disagree about Chad really believing. I absolutely love you two! And I am often amazed at your incredible insight!! But I honestly believe that Chad was caught up in having a beautiful blond cheerleader who he never thought he could have gotten before, he was addicted to the small amount of fame he was getting, he noticed that when he said these things were true, that got him more followers. I think he was so caught up in the “glamour” and money and potential sex with a “goddess” that he went with it. More than anything in this world, Chad wanted to be rich and powerful and important and respected and for the world to acknowledge that he really was as special as he had always believed himself to be. Lori made him feel all of those things, so he did whatever it took to keep that coming. I don’t know for sure, but he doesn’t seem to me to be acting like a true believer anymore. He’s certainly distancing himself from Lori. And if he was still a true believer, wouldn’t he be sticking with her? Lori on the other hand does seem to still be a true believer. I think if Lori had never come into the picture for Chad, he would have spent the rest of his life playing his little Dungeons and Dragons-ish make believe but never acting on it. Also, I will never believe that Joe Ryan died of natural causes. No matter what the coroner said, by the time they got Joe’s body there was absolutely no way to know for sure that he died of a heart attack. I think they just assigned that cause because it seemed plausible. But I will never believe that Lori didn’t kill him. Which (to my way of thinking) means Lori had already committed murder before even meeting Chad. She was the one making things happen. Chad, on his own, never would have done anything.
Also, just because Chad said he believed these things were true doesn’t really mean he actually did believe. Saying he believed gave him street cred. If he really believed, why did he never act on it? Lori on the other hand had no problem acting on it. She was all about acting on these teachings!

Also to add insight into Chad Daybell. His first book publishing customer said Chad never mentioned to her about his near death experience of which that is what she was writing a book about. He only started the near death story after this lady wrote her book that he published.
Alex killed Joseph. He went to prison for his taser attack on him. I think incestuous Lori and Alex first killed their sister and hence her closeness with Melanie Boudreaux.

But he claimed it for the rest of his life because it got him closer to what he wanted. And if you tell a lie for long enough, you can start to believe it. But deep down, he knew it was a lie.

As a FYI....an air (gas) embolism can cause a pulmonary embolism. This can occur by injecting air into a vein or artery. Simply put, introducing atmospheric air into the bloodstream. These happen occasionally during surgical procedures, especially brain surgery; however, are immediately corrected by health care personnel monitoring the patient. If not corrected, these can cause a stroke, pulmonary embolism and even death. These can occur with only 1 to 2 ml of atmospheric gas (air) is introduced into the bloodstream; however, usually 20 ml of gas produces a larger occlusion in the bloodstream effecting dire consequences if not properly treated. Additionally, during a thoracentesis, which is utilizing a needle inserted between the ribs attached to a thin catheter to collect a small sample of fluid in the pleural space. Therefore, although, very rare, there is a way to cause a pulmonary embolism or stroke by way of injecting air into the circulatory system with nefarious intent (homicide). As a retired RN....I spent my entire professional career cognizant of this danger while performing procedures necessary to care for my patients. Definitely, nurses are very conscience of doing no harm to our patient!

I think Lori has an extreme case of (high and malignant) narcissism, and has always seen herself as better than other people. She is very much about appearances and put forth a "good" image, but appearances arent always reality. Nothing made her look more superior than taking in a child on the spectrum, who was largely being raised by her daughter Tylee. Her behavior after her husband was murdered is who she really is. Manipulative, charming, lacking empathy for her husband and her kids. She had been manipulating Tylee against her step dad. Tylee was probably desperate for any acknowledgement from her mother. Yes, she was already cruel.
She met another malignant narcissist who was just as manipulative as she was and they were exactly two peas in a pod. She loved the idea that she was this Goddess, or Warrior for God because this confirmed her belief that she was superior to all other humans, except Chad of course, because women know their place in LDS. (I hope you listened to her podcast). Chad came up with that rating system where of course he was at the top and she was the next highest under him, and of course at the bottom of all that were their obstacles to their ultimate honeymoon in Hawaii, all the "zombies" were their spouses and their kids. Yes, she was delusional, but she always was, even before Chad.
That woman having a perfect honeymoon when her kids were missing and dead is who she really is. She has no love, no empathy and no remorse. She was instrumental in manipulating her brother to do what he did to have this new life she wanted, and had that honeymoon on their blood. She deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life.

Just imagine Tylee being called a "zombie" by her mother for disagreeing with her, knowing exactly what happens when Lori decides someone is a zombie, and having no one else to turn to but Alex Cox. I wish she called Adam or her brother, but Lori had probably manipulated Tylee against anyone who could help her in her family while manipulating all the toxic family members against Tylee.
I just cant imagine what Tylee went through having a malignant narcissist as a mother, especially in those last months. Lori probably emotionally neglected, abused and gaslit Tylee her whole life. Tylee was the one caring for JJ while Lori sought followers and "prayed" for peoples deaths (including JJs) in the temple. I am certain Tylee came here to break the trauma cycle in that family. Its so incredibly tragic she never got the chance. Tylee continues to stand in the shadow of her mothers narcissist attention seeking ego at her own murder trial.

It took a LONG time before he was out of the ICU.. several operations.. he is in his late thirties and is now two years later thriving... good juju and healing thoughts

I think Lori was obsessed with and terrified of the end times and Jesus’s return.. and Chad provided her with power to be a “warrior goddess” for Jesus instead of being terrified. Also Lori was looking for her spiritual equal and she said Charles just wasn’t it..(because of reading all these horror stories about end times and being a “latter day saint” it was right now.. finally …) which of course Charles thought she had gone over the edge.. which she had..

Lori had serious issues going on in her life decades before she met Chad. She has a trail of dead people as well as four other marriages behind her. She broke bad a long time ago and she was the impetus for Chad breaking bad. Not understanding how you think she isn’t as guilty if not more so than Chad in all of this. Makes no sense. Chad was weird but none of this started for him (deaths) until he met Lori. They are both dangerous people and I would say Lori is a psychopath. Maybe that’s not what you meant and because you cut your episode short, it wasn’t clarified….?
I completely agree. Lori is the evil. But Chad wld never have done all this until he met lori. Her crazy goes way back. I don't think everyone's done there research. Obviously.

Agree chad were on a roll with his end of days beliefs but had a quiet life up to meeting her ....after they met she fixated on him and he could not say no to a beautiful woman and fell hard for her....their beliefs then turned into lust for each other and greed for money....the two of them then created their own belief system to be with each other....
I think Lori was well on her way to being an evil sociopath. Especially when you hear the audio of her telling how she was planning on “murdering” Joe Ryan. Just the sound of her voice gives me chills. I think that Chad was the fuel that catapulted her to an entire new level of “evil”.

I trust your judgment but I believe you are being way too easy on Lori. She is a long history of getting what she wants everybody else be damned. She's a prolific liar and very manipulative. This didn't just come along with Chad Daybell. It seems everybody became a zombie once they were no longer on her team. Just saying...

how do you think this all starts with Chad Daybell? Didnt you hear the recording of Lori before she met Chad ,talking about false claims against her ex husband..im pretty sure she offed her Xs and collected the insurance money, before she ever met Chad

So, I went to sleep. Why do you think Lori tried to have Joseph Ryan murdered by her brother if she were only influenced/told by Chad to carry out certain things? That occurred long before she met Chad yet she already had murderous intentions at that time. She says as much on audio recordings. So her murderous beliefs & desires were already in place. I don't think she was just a follower. She didn't think she was going to die with the apocalypse, she believed she was a translated being who would lead the 144,000. So I don't by that she felt the need to do what she did because she'd die & it wouldn't matter anymore. His system may have been used but she's just as culpable
I think what Chad does will depend on how Lori's case goes. If she's found guilty I think it's possible he might take a plea deal. If she is not found guilty I think he will take his chances with a trial. The fact that the cases were severed is a huge benefit to Chad since he can now watch what happens & see what evidence they have, how the prosecution lays out their case, etc

If Chad is texting to Lori that she’s a goddess, then how is he not “breaking bad” because of her? He fell hard and fast for her, to the point he cheated on his wife and lied to his kids saying he met her in Hawaii after Tammy’s death. Agreed he was all about power. He also felt pressured by Lori to murder his wife, as evidenced by her constant hounding of wanting Tammy gone.

I think 🤔 that it helps to sort out this type of abnormal human reactions to life & self. It helps some of us with narcissist family members in general & how important it is to keep a distance but keep an eye on these types of behaviors for the safety of those around them.
In realizing that their are varied Pshychopathic & Narcassitic behaviors here combined with a disconnect. ..so complex. I think it's valuable how these two were raised & were different from their own siblings & how a church can be used to validate controlling & dangerous behaviors. In addition Why ""others"" do not want to see red flags sooner.
I suppose the defense _could_ say that Alex acted alone, but how will they explain why Lori and Chad bounced right after the welfare check and didn’t report the children as missing and didn’t assist LE when they were looking for the children and Lori even ignored the court order to produce the children.
None of that are the actions of people that don’t have anything to do with what happened to those two kids.

Two friends of Lori’s said that Lori told them she paid Alex to kill her husband Joe Ryan, and this may be true. She may not have been caught but if this is true she was very bad before Chad, imo.

Lori is really starting to look like her mom. This trial is not about looks, but I think people make comments because she makes such a big deal about how she appears to people. She puts it above everything else. This whole thing has been a fiasco from the get-go. Maybe she thinks her looks (which are quickly changing) will in some way help her out of this. It looks like it did when she was younger. She still thinks she's got it. All these people that believe in zombies are really twisting the true word of God. It's hard to believe people are easily misled. Their belief is so farfetched.

So her defense is she has an Alibi.... But ACTUALLY, the last time JJ was seen was at Lori's when Alex brought him back!!!!!! Just because they didn't see JJ the next morning doesn't mean he wasn't there, upstairs dead or drugged and dying. DID they check the other bedroom? Lori's bedroom, did they check it? She said Alex came and got him, but no one WITNESSED this. I hope the defense raises this issue. Melanie and David both clearly said they never heard him having a freak out as Lori claims. Cold-hearted to the core. Mental illness, NO. you dont hide facts if you r mentally ill. You state things as they r as u believe them to be. Premeditated, calculating, and soooo many lies! Carrying on with her life in Hawaii! I hope the jury is smart enough to see through her BS. Chad may have fueled the fire, but she knew and let it happen, maybe even gave JJ the drugs.
