Been lucky enough to be on all 5 ships thus far. Surprised at the high score for the Wish, the new layout (elevators, location of adult bars/areas, etc..) just didn't make sense to us and thought the food was just okay. My rankings from favorite to least favorite would be Wonder, Magic, Dream, Fantasy, Wish. Really love the smaller ships.
Remember everyone: Everyone has their own preferences for cruises so some may be more calmer and others may be more childish and energetic. This totally depends on your choice!
I took my family on the Wish last year, and was so disappointed with the experience. The ship was really poorly laid out, and the food was just okay. But by far, the most disappointing part of this ship was the adults section in the back which was way too small and made no sense spatially.
Make sure to stress that this is a ranking BASED ON ONLY A CERTAIN TIME PERIOD. When you use ports as a criteria, that has just recently changed. prior to this May, it was the Magic that had all of the European ports as well as Bermuda and Canada. Prior to that, the Dream was doing the repetitive 3/4 Bahamas cruises. Also, Wonder has always had the Alaska and every few years the Hawaii, but this year added Australia and New Zealand for the first time. It also used to be the one going through Panama Canal but Magic did so this year to cover for the Wonder. The Fantasy continues it's 7 nighters. Also important is the themed cruises that some ships do more than others Pixar, Marvel, etc..... Please stress that this is a ranking based on a certain time period of ports that will likely change from year to year....and YES THE MAGIC IS OUR FAVE!!
While I am extremely excited to go on the Disney Wonder, the ones I truly Wish to go on, are the Dream, and Fantasy. While the Wish looks great in its own right, those two are the ones that seem to be the most appealing.
This was so helpful thank you! I've been trying to decide which ship we wanted to try because we've never done a Disney cruise before! I've been leaning towards the Wish so it was nice to see the comparisons here
Little bit of an experience I had on the magic, When I was last on the ship (last year) I was 13 and wanted to go to Edge. Every time that I would go I was turned away due to max capacity. On all the other ships I had never had that problem before and still don’t to this day. Also, the Edge on the fantasy and dream is way bigger then the magic same goes for vibe
I’ve been on the wonder, dream, and magic. I just went on the magic and wonder last summer and had a blast in Mexico and Alaska! Even though the magic and wonder aren’t as big as the rest, I still enjoyed the experience as much as I did on the dream!
I feel like each ship is for a specific cruiser Magic-classic Disney/cruise fan Not only is this the OG, but right now it's the only ship that will go to both Disney islands and tangled has that classic "Disney Magic" even though it's newer. Also, panama canal is classic cruising. Wonder-Small ship, culture lovers The ship itself is a little worse than the Magic imo, but a lot of people love the small ship feel and again, the ports are amazing. Fantasy and Dream-DCL superfans These ship captured everything the die-hard Disney cruisers love, from the amazing kids clubs and adult areas to the MDA, there's always something for cruisers of any age. Only difference for these 2 is the Fantasy has a little better adult area and the extra MDA, but the Dream has the better ports, so you can kind of apply some of what I said about the magic to the fantasy and wonder to the dream Triton Class-parks fans/families/t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶i̶c̶h̶ It's obvious that they spent a lot of effort into the kids clubs and activities, as well as the sheer number of shops on board. A pro for families and a con for adults only cruisers are the adult only areas. It's not secluded and what there is is small. Also, there's 2 interactive dining rooms and only 1 that gives you a little break, but still wrapped in traditional disney fandom For the specific ships, this is what I've gathered: Wish-Magic Kingdom enthusiasts Even in all the promotion materials, this ship was promoted as DCL's Castle. The theming is mostly around your classic princesses and fairytales, even down to the stateroom themes. Treasure-Disney theororists Most areas are themed to properties that are S.E.A related, as well as pixar. Even the tower suite is EPCOT themed, as well as having the dining room that's unique being a Pixar IP Destiny-Heroes and Villains is the theme, pretty much all we know Adventure-all around big ship experience, encompassing the most IPs and utilizing areas, also pretty much all we know My ranking of what I've been on Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, Magic, Wish Tentative ranking including the ships not out yet Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, Magic, Treasure, Adventure, Destiny, Wish
Seriously don’t understand ranking the Wish first eapecially for adults - subpar experience all around for adults. And really disagree with Magic last. The food on the Magic and Wonder is far better than the Dream and Fantasy. I think the Wish is beautiful but th me itineraries are boring and too short and the lack of usable adult only areas plus no walking track is a joke.
keep in mind, the disney wish is a disney cruise line ship. Hence the words disney, disney products are more directed towards kids between ages 18-0. SO dont be surprised if there aren’t adult only areas on a cruise meant for kids. if you wanted an adult only experience, go on princess cruises or viking, and enjoy your time. don’t waste your time or money on a kids cruise line.
Yep. We cruise Disney all the time with our teens and will keep cruising with them after they move out due to many factors. All if the ships except for the wish have both robust adult areas and family areas.
We've been on both the Wonder and the Dream - both are beautiful! We're going on the Dream again next year to Norway - can't wait! What I'm hearing from this video is that you really can't go wrong, and you're going to have a good time no matter which ship you go on.
Yeah, I’ve been on a lot of the smaller ships before so for my first time going on a big ship I hyped it up a bunch but when the cruise actually happened it wasn’t that different I just had to walk a lot more
It seems to be changing as they bring on new ships. It used to be the Magic, this fall it’s the Dream, and next Spring it’s the Fantasy. The Treasure should be taking over the Fantasy’s routes, so I’m hoping they stick with the Fantasy.
@@disneeds Ah nice. I’d absolutely love to go on either the fantasy or the dream, especially on a transatlantic cruise. More time to have fun. So we’ll have to look into both of those. Also, must ask too, does it get very rocky out in the Atlantic?
I think the Treasure will be a great ship. I am partial to the Haunted Mansion as well as 7-night cruises though and the Treasure will have both of those.
Our first and only Disney cruise was on Fantasy and we heard from everyone onboard - both repeat cruisers and first timers - that the food was extremely subpar. Having been on many other cruise lines I was taken aback at how poor the food was in the MDR. Cabanas was decent but I wish they'd had it open for dinner as well.
Is the voice on all of your videos computer generated or something? I often hear these single words and even syllables that sound off, like they were cut in without making them fit, sounding very unnatural. I just wanted to point this out after watching some of your videos which often were helpful to me for sure!

Agree with the food part, the food on the Wish is just not good as other cruises
Fantasy forever!!
Yes
Completely agree
Completely agree w/ your rankings of Fantasy vs Dream (and the rationale).
Wonder has been my favorite too!! 🙌🏻🔥
Thank you, this is great - going on my first cruise ever!! and its on the Fantasy

fine to serve booze on a childs cruise n that
Love this video - so helpful

We are going on the 10-day Fantasy cruise in July and the ports are great! St. Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, BVI, Castaway and Lighthouse :)
Sounds like a great trip!
No way I’m on that same cruise
Can't wait to go these ships!
I hope you have a wonderful time!
I feel like I’m probably one of those people who feel that the ship itself is the destination, rather than the ports.
The ship is such a great destination too. And if you skip ports there are often less people on it during those days.
@@disneeds Exactly.

The old art deco theming and call backs to the golden age of ocean liners is better than the grand hall on the wish imo

Disney Dream is my fav, im going on Disney Dream next year to france, i live in England so
If you had to pick one to wish, or the fantasy is best for the kids?
Well the first one I went on was the Dream so obviously that’s my favorite

We had Marvel day at sea on Disney wonder in Australia 😍
The Fantasy is coming to Europe in 2025! Can't wait
I like the smaller ships much better.
Exactly you’re not getting blasted with theming and less people means more privileges and privacy

agreed they are so chill especially the wonder
Why? Are you bigphobic? That's racist
Yes
While I too like the Fantasy the best in a vacuum the Dream's ports and ship is best of both worlds. As for the Wish earning a 30... I dunno...
The transatlantic for the Dream was such a good move!
I need to ask, which ship is the main one that does transatlantic voyages to Europe?
It seems to be changing as they bring on new ships. It used to be the Magic, this fall it’s the Dream, and next Spring it’s the Fantasy. The Treasure should be taking over the Fantasy’s routes, so I’m hoping they stick with the Fantasy.

Wonder and Magic are the best.
For me, my ranking is
1. Disney Fantasy
2. Disney Dream
3. Disney Magic
4. Disney Wonder
5. Disney Wish
(Sorry I am late guys) do you guys remember when the Magic did Marvel day at sea
We have kids age 8 and 5. Which is the best for this age kids?
It really depends on preference. This might help decide: Ranking EVERY Disney Cruise Ship..
th-cam.com/video/FKDmwEU0rws/w-d-xo.html
1. Fantasy
2. Dream
3. Magic
4. Wonder
And very last: Wish
why so hard on the wish, overcrowded?
@@HansProbs beautiful ship. Weird design

Don’t want to spend extra money-kind of a ripoff. I only want to go to the carribean and want lots of kids shows for my grandkids
I been on all of them before

Dream and Fantasy adult areas suck. Pool is terrible.
