Of course a grate guitar player...i heard a guy say as a hole most musicians tend sound very similar.."We built a large house but no one lives inside." Well Jays house is packed...true to His sound..thanks for the lesson.
i watched two videos and subscribed. fastest subscription ever. then, i find you showing me what you did with walking blues. thank you for this primer in slide guitar. our standing!
WAY COOL 😳😊 - I have been playing many years - but have never learned any slide - YOU have now definitely inspired me to break out my glass slide and give it a try - many thanks for this TH-cam lesson - GREAT JAM RUN 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊✌️✌️✌️
Great licks really enjoyed it but wish you would have played walkin' blues all the way through once to begin the lesson. Thanks again for posting this I enjoy taking everyone's ideas and playin with my own ideas also.
Hi Jay , when you start the vocals are you just strumming the open g chord then slide from the 1fret to the 3rd on the 5th string or are you doing some sort of pull off on the 4th at the second fret great lesson but just can't seem to get that right any help will do thanks .
Dude, this is great! came across a few of your covers (you kinda make them yours with your style...) and subscribed. learning the blues and slide and doin' it by feel. think that's why you caught my attention. I'm blind so lots of working out what various teachers are doing when they say something like, "ok, I'll zoom in so you can see the shape....". for the cight dependent I guess. if it works for you, would be grateful if you'd consider that some players like me are learning without vision, maybe a bit more description of what you're doing and where on the fretboard. I really appreciate your playing and passion for the music and trying to learn your tricks. little extra description would be greatly appreciated! thanks man. Billy Blue
Billy Spiry - Man, your message just touched me. I have an ecommerce website that deals with specialty products and have been working through the alt tags recently and this comment you left just made me want to continue cleaning up the alt tags even more. Not only that, but I also want to make it as blind friendly as possible so I'm looking at other ways to do that as well. If you read this, please email me at sburkett@avangc.com so I can get some advice on how to improve the website and make it more friendly for blind users. On another note, I checked your videos out and you play a mean harmonica and inspired me to get one and learn it too. keep on rocking the blues. -Shawn
Keep it up mate! I have some other lessons from many years ago about playing Blues. Check them out if you get a chance. They are a bit more of a primer.
It’s a tutorial on this version th-cam.com/video/jDPNBE4xCgo/w-d-xo.html And as I say in the video, I don’t play it the same every time so I am only giving the ideas behind the slide work and not the note for note transcription.
