I think vacuo has the crown if I’m correct, I’m excited to see what happens next! I hope Rwby can complete its story arc I want to see it finish, I want to see the plot twists, the shock moments, the winning and seeing what happens to these characters. Have to wait and see but I’m happy that the Rwby community is staying strong and hoping for that conclusion! Awesome vid brother!!!🌹
I’m exited I’ve been missing it, and for an American anima it’s my favorite one, Ruby rose is my favorite character and I’m happy they found a home and they can finish the story, I got a bad ass Ruby rose shirt and phone case and I’m happy it wasent a waste because I’d be sad if it was over.
Here’s my simply overview of RWBY being acquired by Viz Media. 1: Kerry Shawcross is the only show runner currently confirmed to be running for main director. 2: Viz is also looking into other IPs for RWBY. This is good because to be fair, RWBY hasn’t.. gotten the best in terms of story telling. Let’s be real and critical here for this. Let Kerry be director for sure, but I don’t want Miles Luna to continue writing for the show. Viz technically doesn’t need to write for the show for sure, but at least make the story better then what we got as disappointment for volumes 6-9. Those are shitfests. Good things that Viz could do; 1: Casting would be 100 percent be the easiest thing for Viz. Viz has connections to Jump/ Sentai/ Crunchyroll. However, Viz and Crunchyroll over the years have been abusing voice actors. Case and point: Wendee Lee, *Vic*, Laura Post and Kyle McCarley and David Lodge are good examples of this. But other VAs such as JJG for Tyrian would absolutely would come back for the show. 2: We could possibly get a 2D animation style sort of like: MHA’s Viglante/ Qrow’s retelling story arc or even the Maiden story line that follows the 4 maidens after they receive powers. They could meet a whole new cast of people in each section of the world. 2: Viz also has a other issues more recently, a issue with Anime Expo in regards to copyright is one of the biggest issues I have with Viz. 4: there is a possibility of shilling within Viz as of recent. I’m only hoping Viz scraps most of the writing team for actual writers that do care for the story. 5: Localization is another thing, over the years plenty of.. shitty localizers have been ruining translations of manga and anime as of a recent, Viz certainly has this problem with OPM manga and Sailor Moon Remake. Viz has some issues which I hope they do fix most that shit. But, Viz could make RWBY better again with it’s new home. I keep my expectations low instead of high before we get any more information. A lot of people are jumping like Yay! Viz got RWBY now! It can be good! We don’t have any more information besides that and besides RWBY.. has some quality issues even I can’t defend. I’m excited for Viz Media, because they worked on bringing Bleach, Naruto, JoJo, and Sailor Moon over to the west. It’s those little details that could make things *worse then expected.* however with the manga, I have no issues with. If you love reading manga, Viz will do you Justice. They have done some excellent translations over to the west and even the official guide for the show is pretty decent enough. We can’t jump the gun though, I already heard that some fans are already attacking others because RWBY got bought by Viz. Viz also added a FAQ for anyone who is interested. I’ll also copy and paste them here: What will happen to the official RWBY social handles? The official RWBY X account and RWBY Facebook page will remain active for fans. These will be your best sources to follow for news. The official RWBY Japan X account will also stay active. What does VIZ have planned for the future of RWBY? VIZ is exploring the production of new chapters in the RWBY saga and we will make announcements as soon as we can. Has RWBY Volume 10 officially been confirmed? There’s no news yet on a new season of RWBY. Please follow the official RWBY X account and Facebook page for the latest updates! Will VIZ use former production team members in the future? Kerry Shawcross, series showrunner and co-creator, will be involved with the next phase of RWBY. Where will RWBY Volumes 1-9 be available to watch? Stay tuned for updates on where to watch! VIZ is exploring wider distribution for the series, including home video releases, additional streaming platform releases, and more. Will RWBY merch continue to be available? We have lots in store for future Official RWBY merch, so stay connected to get updates. Will the RWBY Original Soundtracks be available to stream and/or to buy? Please stay tuned for more news about the return of RWBY’s music catalog.
You make good points. Though I didn’t mind volumes 6-9. 1-3 were peak. But 4-5 were my least favorite. I don’t dislike them, they just weren’t the best. I did talk about earlier that we’ll probably get a strict budget from Viz. And I’m sure there might be some hurdles along the way, but either way I’m excited that RWBY has a bit of direction.
