    In addition to a 2.5 mm jack (3.5mm source), this will also accept signal from its USB C charging port. So any phone or computer with USB C can play music to these cans. This was a feature on the Momentum 3s as well. I own the 3 and they are fantastic, I can't wait to get my hands on a 4! Thanks for a good video.

    • @Musewhisperer
      @Musewhisperer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you know this as a fact or are you just guessing? Because I was led to understand that you can't have signal through the Type C port since it's only designed for charging, but you can use the wireless while it's charging, and you can connect the 3.5mm jack to get sound while you're charging as well. It sounds dumb, but it would already be an improvement from other models and manufacturers.

      @@MarianChicu I see your point about it being absurd to see a technical regression from one model to the next, but I've seen more aggregius downgrades in the past. Most people would say that not being able to fold the device is bad enough.
      I wouldn't use the previous model having a feature as proof that the following one has the same disposition as well.

    I got the momentum 4's a few days ago and the noise cancellation was slightly worse than the Sony 1000xm5's until I turned the wind noise reduction off. The wind noise reduction is bugged so when it is on max it decreases the noise cancelling instead of increasing it. Now it is just as strong without it on.

    I saw in many reviews that the sennheiser ANC was worse and it's true.
    However, it's like saying you got a car that go at 300km/h and then the other goes to 280km/h so the latter is obviously much worse.
    The ANC isn't bad at all, it's just a 8.5/10 instead of the 10/10 of Sony or Bose.
    HOWEVER.
    This is an headphone, i guess we usually pick these to enjoy our music, videos or whatever media we're playing and that aspect : it's the best i ever used period. It's honestly insane the difference from other in its price range : mainly, Bose QC45 and Sony Xm4 and even the XM5 which is much more expensive.
    Frankly didn't expect that level of sound quality.
    So yeah, the ANC isn't the absolute best but its sound is and to me, that is by far the most important.

    I tried these headphones in one of the audio shops, and to be honest i really like the sound, and also the ANC. I own a momentum 3, the ANC is not the best on these headphones, but on the momentum 4 it is really nice, close to the XM5-s (i own one this one as well). It felt comfortable, the sound was similar to the momentum 3. I want to sell my XM5 and Momentum 3, then buy the Momentum 4. I think it merges all the good things about these headphones, and leaves the bad thing behind. But i dont really like how manufacturers are using this modern look, i mean it is not bad, but feels really cheap. I owned a XM3, it had leather earpads, also the momentum had leather, i understand that we really want to be enviromentally friendly, but with the vegan lether and this really light plasticy feel it feels cheap, when i hold these new headphones. My Momentum 3 is a 3 years old technology and design, but feels premium. The XM5 and the Momentum 4 just doesnt.
    Dont get me wrong i am not against these new enviromentally fridendly things, but to me this looks like a marketing act, i bought a WF-1000 XM4 earbuds, it is packed within recycled paper box that cannot be closed ever again how it was, you can just trow it away, and store your accessories where ever you want. It cost 85 000 in my currency, while i can buy the Linkbuds S with normal, shiny package, that can be repacked and it costs 70 000.... and the Linkbuds are the newer earbuds. This also happens with the XM5 you get a paper package.... But if you dont buy the premium headphone, then you can have the shiny box that can be closed... If i want to resell my product, then a good closable box is better then a trowaway paper box... Does this mean that you can only save Earth with premium products?

    Thanks for the review! I just wanted to ask you a question. I bought Momentum 4 and used it for 2 days. I noticed that when I turn my head around, I can hear a plastic click inside the earcups, both left and right. I come from Momentum 3 that was in steel, no plastic at all.
    Do you feel the same? Try it with no sound, just wear it and turn your head around. I don’t know if it’s my product that is defected, but if it’s a common issue, I think I’ll return it to Sennheiser.
    Please let me know, thanks!

    What any influencer FORGET to mention about this model is the FIRMWARE UNSTABILITY...which is very annoyng
    - smart pause and head detection is terible...wont detect when i remove my headsets, only if i put them on my neck....also not start/pause automatically
    - the headset also suddenly shutdown even if is streaming....randomly
    - sound is good but not as hood as expected and the app even if usefull, could break the sound if you dont know more about sound quality.
    I am a bit dissapointed but is still acceptable to keep them because of sound and battery.
    It seem You didnt test them too much...

    I just bought the Momentum 4's. I own: Momentum (original wired), DT770 Pro 80ohm, DT1990 PRO, Sony WF-1000XM3 and have listened to Airpods Max and highend HIFIMAN + HD800s. I am really happy with the momentum 4's. For the money they sound great. Bought online without ever seeing or hearing them. Don't regret it at all.
    P.S Airpods max are crap compared to all my listed headphones because the treble range is disgusting and sounds metallic/tinny. The mids and bass are quality but the treble makes them sound cheap.

      Momentum 4 are the best in 2023 in wireless headphones. Nothing could beat it. To have a more balanced sound put eqaulizer to Flat
      Regarding Anc - Its nearly good as Xm4 but my home is silent and don’t wanna use Anc
      However I encountered a problem. It made my ears warm very fast. Sadly I didn’t find any earpad replacements on the internet as these earpads are glued to a plastic frame and comes out like what apple did with Airpods Max
      Sadly i had to return it. So if this didn’t made your ears warm. Go for it 💯 percent
      Hope Sennheiser will release velour or hybrid velour earpads replacement sooner or later. When that happens i will buy them again
      Sadly i had to settle with Audio Technica M50X-BT2

    Not sure what you people are using as a source for the music, but anyone hoping to get good quality audio from these cans with a Samsung Galaxy phone will be sorely disappointed (As I was).
    For some unknown reason Samsung has removed all compatible codecs from their phone except SBC (garbage) and Aptx, that's it. No Aptx adaptive or Aptx (HD) and bizarrely these things are NOT compatible with LDAC.
    So, you're basically listening to high bitrate Mp3's at around 330kb. In other words, they sound shithouse.
    They're no good with iPhones either, best codec you can expect is a lossy AAC which sounds equally horrible.

    I have a Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphone. I use it when it's hot or for casual running, but unfortunately, the headphones eventually get moist from sweat. The problem is, the Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) seems to stop working after the first bit of sweat. It's disappointing that headphones costing over $400 aren't even mildly water-resistant, especially since sweating is a normal part of exercise. Even DJs can get wet from jumping and dancing!
    Aside from the sweat issue, the overall quality feels lacking. The sound is the only truly good aspect of these headphones. The ability to pair with two Bluetooth devices seems like a useful feature, but in practice, it's unreliable. You get noises and glitches whenever the second device connects or receives sound, and the audio quality suffers badly when both devices are playing. The ANC itself also feels ineffective.
    In essence, you're paying a premium price for just the good sound quality. Everything else, from the software to the build quality, feels cheap. There are other headphone brands out there that offer excellent sound along with better features and durability. This particular model just isn't worth the money.

    Im excited mine just shipped out ! first time splurging on a pair of over ear wireless headphones. Now that I have an office that I work in I feel like having some comfy cans will be super nice. I was looking at potentially getting Air Max’s because of my Apple setup. But I took the leap of faith on these because My Momentum True Wireless have served me well.

    Hi, would you say the 4 is a big step up over the 3?
    I had to send my momentum 3's back to the shop recently and I have been wondering whether to replace with another momentum 3 or upgrade to the 4?

    • @system2213
      @system2213 ปีที่แล้ว

      What did you end up going with? Btw what was wrong with your Momentum 3s? Seems like Momentums suffer a lot of tech faults. I hear a lot of people need to return them, and my Momentum 2s just completely died on me.

    • @oliverholland7236

      @@system2213 so I had to send the 3s back cause of an issue with the mic. On phone calls people couldn't hear me very well.
      I eventually decided to get the 4s, I think that the 4 are better than the 3 and I'm glad I upgraded.
      The 3s look better and more stylish but the 4 is better overall, better battery, more comfortable for me, to me sound is a bit better, but, maybe I need to do a proper A B test to be sure.

    Hi, just bought new Momeentum4 and have the following issues. I bought a reputable brand "3.5mm to USB-C" adapter (Anker) to hook my Momentum 4 headphones to my Samsung S20+ phone. I know the adapter is good because I compared it to a Samsung genetic "3.5mm to USB-C" adapter and it sounds better than it, but I did this initial comparison with other wired headphones.
    So, when I tried the new adapter on my Momentum 4 headphones (via the included 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable) they sounded worse than when paired via Bluetooth. The sound is more hollow or muffled. (one note: when listening via this cable and my new adapter the headphones are switched off). Is it possible that via Bluetooth connection the sound is better than via the cable? How is this possible? Everybody says that wired connection is better than Bluetooth connection sound wise.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

    • @tomofthepops
      @tomofthepops 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure if you were still confused but bluetooth will always sound better on wireless headphones because the headphone will do digital sound processing and when your using an adaptor like you tried you are taking a digital signal to an analogue signal and back to digital again so it won't sound as good.

    My first thought they may b premium but they don't look premium. In all honesty they look like they cost £50 and I know its all about the sound and anc but if I'm throwing £350.00 on a pair of headphones then I'm sorry but I want them to look the part.

      @Imstarshine ปีที่แล้ว

      @davidscoots2007 I'm in the same boat as you. I have seen SOOO many reviews from Audiophiles to Joe Blogs and Influencers. I have also scoured the reviews for many devices on Currys, Amazon, Argos and I've googled various problems that have been reported with many devices. What does it come down to? I guess it depends on what exactly is most important to us personally. For me it's ANC and build quality. I've seen reports of the XM4 and XM5 models breaking easily but the ANC is King on the Sony's. I thought to myself, well, perhaps I could mitigate the build issue by being super careful, OR by jumping ship and going for earbuds with ANC. But then, I'm not sure, and that's where I'm left. What about you, what are you weighing up?

    I absolutely loved my momentum 2s! The stainless steel cup sliders with black leather and yellow stitching. I dropped them a few times and damaged the cup sliding mechanism. I sent them back to sennheiser and they said they arent able to fix them! So they kept them and gave me my money back. I told them I would rather have my headphones back but they wouldnt send then! I havent forgiven them for that yet

      My Momentum 2s just died completely. It was impossible to charge them so I took it to a repair shop hoping it was just a slightly faulty charging port but he said the whole thing is buggered and it won't be worth fixing them. I honestly didn't even use them much and I took care of them so seems pretty poorly made if they broke. Nonetheless, I did find them comfortable and sound quality great so considering the Momentum 4s to replace them.
