Our family of 4 sailed here on a spring break trip and we left out of Tampa Bay on a 51 Beneteau Oceanis that was decked out. It was an awesome trip finished off with 3 night stay at a marina in Key West. The kids still talk about it today and all the fish that were under the boat at night. The kids wanted to go for a quick dip at night and I turned on the underwater lights to show them why I said no. There was a smaller size tiger shark swimming around us among many other fish and nurse sharks. They understood right away! We got great video though. The snorkeling around the wall of Fort Jefferson was awesome. Epic trip to a beautiful place. We went in 2021 and the island took a direct hit from a hurricane a few years later.
