I love how every game of this set was on a different stage, you have so many sets that are exclusively on ps2 or small battlefield, that it gets stale.
I feel the same. More so for ps2. It’s gotten very aggravating only seeing people going to ps2. I go to local events from time to time and even when playing friendlies offline with people, they still wanna try and play all friendly matches purely on ps2. 😒
Granted I don’t think sonix back airs to hit the opponent a lot, more so to get out of an animation like spring or spin dash and he lust aerials in the direction of his opponent just in case his opponent does run at him
The reason sonic players throw back-air out of spring is to reset air speed which is reduced when he uses up-b. But yes, it does look a little silly seeing back airs in a different zip code than the opponent being throw at the top level.
@@Aj-hb4ml yeah thats a better way of explaining it. Personally im an advocate of using aerials for recovery just for horizontal momentum. I use this for doc and bairing my way to the stage certainly helps a lot cuz i dont have to burn through down b too early
FULL credit to tweek. But it’s also crazy how Sonix constantly chokes. You start to see some flaws in his game in crucial moments like how he was just not covering tweek’s landings on FD of all stages and how he was getting punished for swinging at ghosts after spin and up b

I can't unsee how often sonix back airs noone now. Tweek seems to be one of the only ones not letting him get away with it

Marss pointed out on his stream how Sonix is constantly back-airing ghosts, which is typical sonic main behaviour
Personally i see sonic doing bair as to help recover out of spring. I tried it myself and it certainly helps with recovery

At 16:00 Tweek read the landing aerial and used Fsmash to space and punish, also covered the lag if sonic airdodged away
I've noticed that a ton of the hyped up sets this year have been 3-2's with a Sonix loss
this set was so tense, it was amazing! Tweek and Sonix with a lot of clutch moments
This might be the first time I've seen a set go 5 different stages, that's pretty neat!

Gawd damn that’s some good movement
Anytime i get to see a sonic lose im locked in for the whole video haha
@@snix2921 Both players are insane, definitely the pinnacle of their characters.
Watching them charge spin dash for half of the game sucks though.
Ever seen is crazy
13 seconds and no views?? The falloff is crazy
Brawl Matchup ! (brawl newcomers) brawl = Iconic ❤🎉

Cranking out five to seven videos per week is why I'm not subscribed.
How do you know he’s cranking out that many vids if you aren’t following?
Isn’t a content creator supposed to make content?
What?
You, my friend, are just a hater 😊
Why does that matter? Just watch someone else or turn off notifications for ESAM
