Perfect, I can now bumble down the trail with good lever position
lol
I set mine up so they're optimized for the most aggressive riding I do, but comfortably reachable for when I'm just bumbling down a trail.
😂 I love just bumbling down the trail
Im such a bumbler i dont even need brakes
Apparently us amateurs could also use a video about GoPro mount positioning
Fantastic, then we can watch each other just bumble down the trails.
No we should not film ourselves bumbling, there is already way too many of those out there! 😣
you guys aren't good enough riders to post on youtube. based on your suggestions, you should leave it to the pros.
This will be perfect for when I bumble down trails
And post it
Omg this is gold
So how many of you actually listened to that whole episode of the podcast that came out in September and got offended? I mean before a TH-camr who obviously thinks that he is not a good enough rider (constantly talking about how much harder the trails are than they look / putting an extremely wide angle camera on the helmet to make things look steeper / adding a steep alert graphic and so on) told you to be offended with the way he took those hot takes out of context and framed them accordingly? I guess not many, since this was obviously not meant to be taken seriously and only someone very insecure with their riding would take them as an attack. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Ryan is not a good enough rider to have the following he has, I feel like he thinks that. Not unlike another ex-youtuber, who became unwatchable because he always tried to convince everybody, that he was a better rider than he was. I (and most other viewers) don't care, if a content creater is a good rider, just if the content is good. But if you think yourself, that you're not good enough, every bit of banter seems like an attack...
@@PatBKwow… no one’s gonna read all that🤣😭
Underrated comment.
Is there a guide for bumblers?
Why are we watching Henry bumble his way thru a tech video when there are so many better ones on youtube from actual experts?
Are you going to cover how to adjust your levers for 3 ball riders???
What’s a 3 ball rider?
You have to set the lever very flat, almost pointing up a little bit, it helps a lot.
Im also a 3 baller, so I adjust them flat af.
This also applies to the monoballs too.
If you know you know
I understood that reference !
Ah, a man of culture! Oui, oui
There not enough space on you tube for a mother brake position vid….
I too will be doing this when I get in from work. Got to have the bike set up right for my ambitious bumblings.
For decades I had my levers angled in line with my forearms because it seemed logically to be the strongest position with the least hand strain. I finally decided to try the near horizontal lever angle after seeing so many good riders using it, and wow, I feel so much stronger on the bike with that lever position. And it's not just when on really steep terrain. I'm a one-finger-always-on-the-lever-rider, I never death grip, and that lever position does something to my body position, even on mellower trails while not braking, that allows me ride more confidently and looser.
Where that lever position absolutely does not work in combination with my index fingers always on the levers is steep jumps. It does not allow for pulling the bars back to boost lips and forces me to push through and fly low. I tried death gripping but I dont feel comfortable with it yet, so I leave my levers untightened just enough to move down when I'm sessioning steep bmx style jumps.
@@irfuelLMAO
Anybody else leave you levers just loose enough to move them or they move in the event of a crash?
I learned this in my motorcycle and BMX days. Also keeps them from breaking on impact.
Yes Same Here. So many Crashes With my maguras and they still ok
Yes
Big brain move 🧠
Yep and I learned that before PB was a website
most of the braking force is needed when going downhill and I agree that setting them parallel to the ground when stationary and flat is extreme. This will however change when going down as your levers and bike will be at the angle of the slope and that may feel way more comfortable....
But if you watch the pro xc racers they drop their elbows while pedaling
can you make videos for us who bumble down trails??????
Ha! Jokes on you PB I prioritise brake lever position before any other part of my bike, my personal economy and the health & wellbeing of my wife and family
Will this lever position help stop me 'bumbling down a trail' ?
i am very sensitive to this one . a little bit too high and my wrist hurt a little too low and my finger will injure
There u go..wise man said " think twice before you said Somethings " Something else is sharper than a blade 👅
Bumble….
I feel like only a real racer can tell me this information, not some guy on TH-cam that does not actually have any say on bikes
You didn’t discuss the position of the brake left to right. That’s where I’m wondering atm
Where is Levy?
Where is Levy?
Bumbling down a trail maybe
Great, another brake lever video to clog up the internet.
Internet so clogged up, they should really free up some space!
HEY MUMBLER. LEAVE TH-cam VIDEOS TO CREATORS WITH ACTUAL PERSONALITY
I run my brakes quite flat and now I know why.
Vid for expert and pro riders only 😂
Back in the day the steeper the lever the cooler you were haha
I run mine facing backwards and use my thumbs. Cool as fuck
Hi Henry 👋👋
Tutorial on how to bumbling down a trail?
Ohhhh that would be amazing!! 😆
Two broken pinky’s so I approve of this message lol
Ride em like Barelli
Oh dear Henry. That was so lame and lacked any real meat🤦🏼♂️
Bumbler
Most riders are looking for 45° brake lever. You are welcome. ;)
I like my brakes like my women… extra squeaky
attack position for riding completely flat trails tho?? 🧐
They shouldve put this dude on leave instead of put out 2 videos of him mumbling into the camera right away
agreed. permanent leave, and not just because of the lame comments he's actually difficult to watch i find.
I'm glad he left embn. His dryness brought the channel down.
I prefer to go brakeless you get more speeeeeeeeeed 😂
Really difficult to watch this without feeling salty after the recent comments from Henry and Kaz on the podcast. Go watch Yoann "3-ball" Barelli's video on lever position and technique instead.
Too bad I can’t watch this video as I’m too much of a beginner and bumble down trails. Oh well.
just skip this and go to yoanns vid....simple. level levers show u know how to ride tech and gnar....down levers show u just cruise xc or wreck going downhill.... its simple. when u go downhill you don't need your wrist bent forward.
Probably for most people but for me I run close to vertical. When going downhill, it keeps my elbows forward, my wrists are straight and I’m evenly balanced over the BB. This just works for me and is very comfortable.
@BudoDave76 nice....just not pulling your 3rd ballstring correctly. or must not have 3rd ball
@@scottpink2013 I actually have 4 so it all works out.
@@BudoDave76 hell yeah let's gooooo
I only have 2 balls since I was born. Whats wrong with you guys?
running out of ideas.
5 minutes of mumbling to say absolutely nothing
💤
Ah just shush Henry
Some neeky yute
Thanks Hendry good to see you . i have always liked your videos
this dude should be replaced. so dry.
Couldn't agree more.
He's a closet roadie for sure. He can't just let people have their fun, so he must be.
Does it matter tho if your only an amateur u tuber what. Boring video brake position haha
Henry whats going on, since you left GMBN you have become and sound so dull , almost an AI robot. Zoro personality. Such a shame you use to make really good videos...
Stop bumbling about..
Man expecting me to take brake advice from someone running XTs 😅
What's wrong with XT's 🤔🤔
Inconsistency
I wasn’t impressed with shimano’s I run RSC’s
Yes those are for the people who bumble down easy trails.
XTR is for professionals.😂
Oh god.
Says the guy giving advice on YT to us mere mortals that “should stop uploading on YT” …🫵🏻✊🏼💦
