- My tribute to Eire, the Emerald Isle.
This video has long been in the making, and though the labor was often intense, it was well worth it. The actual idea for this project came from a vivid dream that I had early one morning. From there, it was a matter of taking a vision from the mind's eye and giving it life. I have always wanted to make a tribute to several countries and cultures that I have loved since I was a child, and of the many before me, I chose Ireland to be the first, mostly because of my own heritage ( I am part Scottish and some of my ancestors lived on the eastern coast of Ireland ), and also from my intense love of Celtic lands and ways. I have relied much on Celtic mythology and legends in my novels, and it seemed fitting to me to upload a montage about something I have long dreamed to actually visit. I sure hope that the video pleases you the viewers, but especially those of my viewership who are Irish. And I hope that this posting invokes a little of the mistique, glory, wildness, and sweeping majesty of your country. My most sincere thanks to each and every one of you for watching. . . . And yes; all of the photographs are of Ireland. Sláinte!

I am Australian and yes as the boring old story goes i have Irish blood, my grandfather, bless him, and ever since i was a little girl i have felt lost. Australia is my birth home and i love it dearly but my soul does not belong to this land
When i was a child i was drawn to anything of Ireland like a magnet and i felt yearning for something i could not understand untill i grew up.
My Irish blood line is very very old and you can not erase that in just a generation or two.
That fire still burns.

I am proud to have been to Emerald Island more than once. This tribute helps me to rekindle the memories of the good times among the liveliest people I ever had the pleasure to know.
I enjoy being a tourist even in my hometown. It's a way of seeing things. Actually, Eire is called the Emeral Island due to the fact that it's green all over. I believe the nickname refers to both Irelands, though.
@@AlbertinoFigueiredo theres only one (1) Ireland, british rule in Ireland since 1171 AD, us Irish are still oppressed by British rule, we Catholics dont consider Northern Ireland as separate just because the british government say it is

I was born in america but heritidge is irish, and i am extremely proud of that, and nothing can ever change that. my mom's side of the family came to america during the irish potato famine. while dad's side of the family came a few years after. when dad's ex-father-in-law came to america he didn't have any money and when he got on the train to take to the city he told the conducter that he had no money, and the conducter gave him a peace dollar and he gave it to my dad and he will pass on to me.

there’s a band that plays at a pub that my family and i used to frequent before covid. even knew the waitress who would serve us. she’s seen both me and my sister grow up. this reminds me of it so much. i would tip the band after my dad would give me some spare change. it’s fond memories. they have a picture of my papas old house in ireland before it was burned. happy it wasn’t destroyed after the riots.

You're Mexican and your grandfather is Irish? Is he your real grandfather? I can't see the two cultures and races mixing. I'm of Irish descent from my father's side.
You must be American. You’re nice people, but you guys really need to learn a bit more about the world outside your own borders… Mexico, just like the US, is largely a country of immigrants. Thousands of Irish arrived there, along with Italians and Spaniards, and even Germans and Scandinavians. It’s actually quite common to be Mexican and have Irish ancestry. Anthony Quinn, who directed Lawrence of Arabia, was an Irish Mexican.

I used to Irish Dance when I was younger, and to hear this music again, and to watch Riverdance- Lord of the Dance again... I feel like I used to: filled with joy & excitement! I don't know what my mum was thinking when she made me quit dancing!? I really need to sign up again, just so I can dance to this lovely sound again. :)
