Still loving Ben too❤️❤️. These two were magic together. Great video although it makes me cry. For Pete. For Ben and his friendship. For all of us.❤️😥. I was thinking the other night when SAG honored Sally Field that Pete should have been here smiling at her, so proud of her. He should be here getting older and hobbling around like the rest of us. He shouldn't have left us so long ago, so young.❤️😥
Very beautiful video. I got tears in my eyes. Great old time, when Pete and Ben played Hannibal Heyes and Kid Curry. I love this episodes and these both guys, but specially Pete💓🥰😍. Can' t believe, what had he done. Fifty one years ago. 🤦 You' re missed, Pete. All the time.💕 😢 R.I.P. Peter Deuel .
Loved this vid . Absolutely on point capturing some beautiful moments from these 70s legends of Alias Smith and Jones . Pete Duel and Ben Murphy . Thank you guys for giving me some of the best moments of TV when i was young boy . Truly loved both of them and Pete dying broke my heart.Lovely Emily . Just perfect :-))
@that beginning clip was from a 1990 something special on Pete duel. I taped it don't know where it is but it was a fantastic special and the most incredible thing about the special was that Pete sister was on and she was gorgeous woman gorgeous God I felt to her immediately Ben Murphy was on Rodger Davis was on and then they had two co-stars that will kind of regulars I forget their names so five of them all five of them at one point of this in the special was sobbing sobbing uncontrollably when talkin about his death. I'm crying right now. The fact that 25 years after the fact five people on the show a sobbing is a testament to how he was loved I've never seen that before in my life with someone talk about somebody who passed the one character actor who is one of the regulars on the show said they would always go out to the bar after the after the show and pete😢 was always the last one to leave the bar. So was I used to drive my girlfriend's crazy thank you forever whoever put this on his magnificent the way it was done with the song just a wonderfully done
I absolutely loved Alias Smith and Jones, and so sad when it ended. I also am such a hugh fan of westerns , and I very much appreciate seeing these videos!!! Thank you soooo much for sharing these wonderful videos!!!!
My Dad refused to let me see the newspaper on New Year’s Day. I was 8, but then he sat down and told me of Pete’s death. I was brokenhearted and I still think of him fondly. Sleep well Pete 😢
I was lucky enough to see some of the filming of the pilot of this show at Universal Studios in Oct. of 1970. I was on the tram ride and we had to stop because they were setting up an outdoor scene. Saw Dennis Fimple and Earl Holliman. Wish I could have seen Pete and Ben.
It is a lovely tribute and I was struck by how brave and powerful were the close buddy moments, sharing genuine brotherhood - beautifully directed and acted - reflecting a bond of human love and solidarity.
The ABSOLUTE BEST video of all the Alias Smith and Jones videos 'out there'...perfect song portrayed by perfect video clips. Thank you, Emily. I have about 45 videos of ASJ featuring both of our outlaw friends, and yours, is BY FAR THE BEST!! I play this 2x a day--to smile and to remember, with sadness...our old friend, Pete Duel.
I was 14 when my favourite western tv show aired for the first time in the summer of 1971. I still watch episodes of it today but on new years eve or perhaps new years day i cant remember id been out with my friends and when i got home my dad broke the news about Pete Duel. Season 2 episodes didnt seem the same knowing he was no longer with us and when Season 3 aired with Roger Davis it took me a long time to get used to him. It was years later when a repeat showing with the episodes of Season 3 shown in its proper running order that i looked on Roger in the proper light. But it was Pete Duel who had the biggest impact on me and Season 2 my favourite Season. One episode inspired me to write a novel of my own about 2 brothers who were bounty hunters characters loosely based on Heyes and Curry but more so on myself and my best friend. Although ive got the whole story completed, after 51yrs the book hasn't been published. My life has been riddled with quotes from the show but the one ive used most has been the one I've used at every wedding ive ever been to: " The only thing in life you ever have to learn is love. Everything else you can steal "
Just watched this again. Beautiful. The clip you used of Ben Murphy at the start is lovely. Gives the whole video a context and story. Memories. Amazing choice of clips and a wonderfully coherent whole. Perfect
Gosh I remember that show....was sad when He committed suicide. Makes you think about what could make a person feel so lost and hopeless.I know sometimes people do let us down or they just don't understand what is going on. But we always have Our Lord and Savior and he will never forsake us , he is always a friend pray and he will answer.it's a spiritual experience. I hope he is at peace.
De nuevo por favor! Creo que la pasaban por canal 2. hace poco me enteré de su muerte de chico no entendí porque lo habían reemplazado sin explicación (en aquella época no había Internet)..
I think it was a mistake putting Roger Davis in the part of Hayes, his Character was too different from Pete Duel, and he had played the horrible Danny too well in the Episode Smiler with a Gun!
Davis didn't want the part. Larson was going to end the show with the last eposide that Pete filmed the network threatened to sue them if he ended the show so they had to.
Our beautiful Pete❤️❤️❤️ We still love you and miss you. Always will. ❤️😥

He is still a very handsome man
Ben and Pete both played their parts so well but I also think there was true friendship and trust as well. Love what Ben said at the beginning
Memories of easier times
Ben y Pete, ¡Qué bellos recuerdos!!! Mis heroes, nunca os olvidaré. ❤
My Dad refused to let me see the newspaper on New Year’s Day. I was 8, but then he sat down and told me of Pete’s death. I was brokenhearted and I still think of him fondly. Sleep well Pete 😢
Absolutely beautiful x
So sad and beautiful, may God rest Pete's soul! ❤

I love the smiles and looks between them, it's like they just lived in their own bubble. Lovely :)
Excellent and perfect. THANK YOU, Emily.
It is a lovely tribute and I was struck by how brave and powerful were the close buddy moments, sharing genuine brotherhood - beautifully directed and acted - reflecting a bond of human love and solidarity.
Luv’d these two actors n the characters they crafted for this show! Pete’s death was hard for me to accept. Pete deft left us too soon.

Thank you!
I got my picture taken with "Peter Duel", in Gatlinburg, Tn. Gold Rush Junction, before it became "Dollywood".
Qué suerte!

Deberían pasar esta serie.
