    I want to thank you for making videos. I have a Monster, too, and I ALWAYS find that yours are the most detailed, instructive videos on TH-cam. They also inspire me because you don’t present yourself as a professional know-it-all. You seem like a regular guy, and I always tell myself, if he can do it, so can I. Nothing wrong with that. Thank you, once again.

      You’re welcome and thank you - you mailed it, that’s exactly my thinking as well. I’m not the best, but hopefully I can help someone.

      @@ducatinyc I am! I just got back from riding mine, it rides beautifully. There is one thing I found though, it runs rich in the first two gears. Any ideas for that? I took it for a long scenic ride and it performs amazingly. Love this bike, and it came with a great exhaust

    Hey, did you replace them because they were squeaking like crazy? When i lightly brake with front brakes they squeak a lot. Im new and wondering if i should replace the pads.

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, no, I replaced these because they were worn out - however - yours could squak due to being worn out too. How old are your brake pads, do you know? They could very well be shot, i would clean the disc rotor too.

    Hey Ducati NYC!,
    Greetings all the way from Ireland! , I have a question relating somewhat to maintanance , I too am an owner of a monster 620 , however during the rain , she runs rough, cutting out and running on one cylinder , or stalling out completely, so as you have experience with this bike , did you ever have this happen to you during encounters with rain ? This issue is driving me insane 😠
    Kind regards ,
    Martin

      Hi there!
      Unfortunately yes. It always acts like that when wet or after a rain, some days better, some days worse. However it got really bad for me after 5 years of abuse and riding whenever, I took the bike to the shop last week to have this figured out and the mechanic can see to put a finger on it. Will update when I know more.
      It's annoying but it never stopped me from riding, however last week it got really bad.

      @@ducatinyc Thank you for the reply !! sorry to hear that your experiencing problems with your Ducati aswell, funny enough i just watched the DRZ 2 UP vid where you dropped off the beast at the shop. Please let me know if the mechanic finds anything. Ill give an update if i find anything to.
      I relocated most of the electrical connectors from the bottom of engine right up under the tank, hoping that water wont be able to get into the connectors. I still haven't pin pointed the cause of it yet however.

      @@sdpsajdasd yea, the mecahnic is not sure what it is either. i had a major service recently so she went through valves and belts and spark and coils and all that. CPU is next. man o man.

      One idea... check the fuel overflow hose underneath the fuel cap. This drains fuel if you overfill the tank, but it also drains rain water that often seeps in through the old seals. Very easy for the hose to clog and prevent the drain from working. The standing water then gets into the tank and causes the symptoms you briefly described. I have the same bike and figured this out after several months of issues in the rain.

    Hey man, I need some help. I did put the new pads in the one brake caliper, but the second front when I push one piston, the other comes out, the other two have gone back enough, but this problem can’t let the pads fit in. If I push the one the other comes out and the opposite. Any help? Thanks

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is odd, can you try to push both out at the same time? I've never come across an issue like this. Use a hard tool to push the calipers in - not just your hands.

    It feels like you are in a great rush to finish this jod.. plus you should put a cloth around the brake fluid reservoir. You don't want to ruin your paint, since the brake fluid is very corrosive
