Without a doubt, one of the best interviewers out there. Kudos to David Rubenstein for such entertaining and informative interviews. As someone who is conducting interviews as a part of my role, I highly appreciate his presence.

I really like you, CEO of Lockheed Martin... you are funny. They say that intelligent people make good joke. You are pretty too...Mr.Rubenstein, your desk is messy like mine. My Mom said,"After I finished cleaning up my table, in a little while, my desk got messy again!".

All the people in the comments complaining have no idea about what threats The USA faces abroad and the peace that Lockheed has created, even when having to make some tough decisions, for the greater good.

Peace that Lockheed has created: Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Libya. Man those countries sure have never been as peaceful as they have been in the last 20 years since the sweet peace intervention bought about by US. 🤡

1:44 I think that anybody who runs a defense company should rot in prison

Read history and the importance of deterrence. These are 150+ IQ people making these decisions. You should rethink your opinion.

yes, Michael, David and I, have the common ideal in the form of King David... mostly because gauging our own respective destinies as a course of events, all of us came from moderate middle class households, were fortunate enough to be accorded such life changing opportunities that we knew if we only gave it our best, only then perhaps we could hope for a better than expected outcome. so there is that common string, piercing us three beads...
David isn't necessarily someone who could consciously come up with creative ways to express new ideas... so it is difficult to second guess him in that sense. the problem is manifest when david could shelter fraudulent fiduciary to my delay, they could be industry old timers, but I am the one who is needlessly left without answers.. I could only suspect.. but more rationally speaking, there are instances where people reach their limits, they exhaust their flexibilities over all of the wrong reasons, and do more harm than good, and cannot be reasoned with and ultimately, they just can't keep up.. it is that moment of failure.. now others will take its place in the service industry.. it is actually quiet sad if you look at it the right way.. despite any unmet formalities, intentions are the first agreements, and any conveying of property rights is enforceable specifically.
just wanted to lay down my two bits of mind. everything else is capitalism anyways... do I really have to check out another book on the economic system?
I remember writing down phone number to Carlyle group.. but then due to covid, does he even go to office any more? what if he wants me to come over for dinner then?
you can;t, it seems, do anything decisively these days... you must think it through at each instance.. for some odd reason.. david doesn't hunt, I am not too keen on learning golf either. grasstacks!
    excuse me

SR 71 is one of those noble ideas that demand unrestrictive interest. like I started thinking about it 10 minutes ago and the more I think of its uses/ utility/ fit... the better it gets.. If you ever wondered what it is like to concentrate on a single idea, you may ask me and I could tell you based on my own thinking..
    the proverbial capitalist-oriented virtuous cycle..
